How to remove yellowish residue caused by distilled vinegar?
First off, I'd like to thank you all for taking time to answer my question. Second, I must confess my ignorance of chemistry; which is why I am here.
At work, we have a stainless steel stove which I must clean every night. Normally, I use lemon juice as my first wave of attack on the cooked-in stains. Since we ran out of lemon juice, I decided to use distilled white vinegar (since I have heard it's good for cleaning in general) & it was 5% acidic. It initially did the job; better than the lemon juice, in fact. However, I spent much more time unsuccessfully attempting to remove a yellowish residue that seemed almost like rust. It appeared after I scrubbed, wiped off all the excess, & the stove dried. I have tried using Windex & Fantastic Scrubbing Bubbles to get it off. Also, "elbow grease" using a scrub pad. All to no avail. The whole stove is now covered in a rust(?) which "disappears" when I apply more vinegar & wipe, but only comes back two-fold. Help!

why do many times democrat politicians lack the (d) after thier name in stories about crime they committed, but republicans almost always have the (r)?
I would like informed, objective responses; do not just smear your emotions as an answer. Go find your "easy YA points" elsewhere!!
4 AnswersPolitics8 years agoHow are bananas peeled?
I'd like to know how bananas are peeled in industrial processes, such as when they are canned, dehydrated, etc. I do NOT believe in "easy YA points". You either know or you do not. If the latter, move on and don't waste my time. I hope that a YouTube link will be included in the answer. Thank you in advance.

I think it's some sort of flash. I'm not tech savvy, but have a crush on this girl I knew from high-school. (I swear I'm not a stalker!)

On Yahoo answers, two individuals can answer the same question in two different (equally valid) ways. Can I give them both points?

Apparently, it's grounds for removal.
(I'm hoping for actual recreations of other peoples mistakes, not just your imagination running wild.)
2 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoHow do I report people that abuse Yahoo Answers?
The Community guidelines states that:
"Our points system is meant to reward the community members for sharing questions and answers, so creating multiple accounts or posting content for the sole purpose of gaining points or soliciting others for points is not permitted. Posting filler answers to a question in an effort to be first to answer, or copying and pasting other members' answers, are also forms of cheating."
The key phrase in this is "FILLER ANSWERS". Persons posting these illegitimate answers merely for the sake of points has kept me from this site for over a year. Rather than visiting (and answering) daily, I come only in the most dire of circumstances. How does one go about reporting many many people for this particular violation of the community guidelines and be taken seriously?

I know this is stupid, but there's an audition today. I'm in the Theater Department at my college, and there's not anybody I can ask. Obviously, I haven't seen the play before.

I like this girl but have no intentions of being in a relationship with her or anyone at this time.
I'm not a player nor do I want to use her;
however, I throughly enjoy spending time with her.
Unfortunately, my budget is small and my time in town is brief.
(I come home from college over a weekend once a month).
