  • I need help getting my refund from Turbo Tax. Help!!?

Alright, we filed Jan. 21st and opted to have the Turbo Tax card sent to us. Well the card never came after a week so we called to have a replacement sent. They said they would send it. A week passed, never came, called again. Now mind you, you have to wait 30 to 40 minutes for someone to speak to you. Well they said our account was cancelled and put on security hold and that someone should have contacted us. No one did. They gave us a fax number to send it the i.d., a bill, and social security card. We did that and called this past Monday to make sure they received it. The rep said yes and that it was being shipped out that day... waited til today and it never came. I called again and they said that the account is still on security hold and that the fax number we were given was for a main fax or something and that we needed to send it to a different fax number. This number is supposed to be a priority fax. I asked why the other one told us they got the info and they had no idea. I can barely understand the people we call and I just have no idea how to go about getting the refund. Should I call the IRS? Will they help to get us our refund?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  • Girls, I need make up and moisturizer advice!!!?

First of all, I need a good facial moisturizer. My skin is kind of combination, it gets somewhat oily when it's warm and my face is dry, especially in the winter. So I was wondering what oil free moisturizer would be best for my skin type?

As for the make up, I'm wondering what to use on my face as far as foundation and such goes. I never use foundation, usually only use a mineral powder but with my skin being dry it doesn't really work out. Also I get a few blemishes now and then and it doesn't cover. Should I be using some kind of foundation? If so, what one? I have semi larger pores, not hugely noticeable but there. Also, I live in Ohio so it gets humid during the summer. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

  • I have a question about will and beneficiary, please help.?

Ok, so my boyfriends grandmother passed away recently. His dad gave him up when he was little and his grandmother adopted him so she is in fact his mother. She recently died from cancer, and had a few life insurance policies. My boyfriends birth father did not show him the will but brought a paper for him to sign because he was the beneficiary on one of the life insurance policies. His father said that all the money had to be split between 5 of them and put into a trust fund that they couldn't touch until they were 30 years old. Well, my boyfriend was never shown the will or anything and he received a check for the policy he was beneficiary of. It was a small amount, $4,665 after taxes were taken out. My boyfriend cashed the check and has spent about $1600 of it. Now my questions are, first of all, if there were any specific instructions on what to do with the money, should there not have been a lawyer to do so? Or would the insurance company it came from put the money into trust funds? Can my boyfriend be held responsible for the money he has spent even though he was not legally shown any specific instructions on what to do with the money? Is he not entitled to the money since he was in fact the beneficiary?

  • My baby has her tongue out a lot?

Just a question. My daughter who is 6 months old, 3 months corrected age, has her tongue sticking out a lot, it's cute, but odd? She also uses her tongue to cusp the bottom of the nipple instead of using her bottom lip to suck while eating. I know that's called suckling but when should they stop doing that? Also she's been slobbering a lot lately, she has started to notice food and watches us eat and such so I was thinking maybe she's just drooling over food. haha, I'm not sure. Anyways, I haven't noticed any teeth coming in or anything. I'm just kind of curious about these things?

  • Moms, talk about becoming a parent?

I just thought that we could share some pregnancy stories. Children are miracles and I'd like to share my story with you.

I first met Lily's father, Travis in 2009. It was amazing and we clicked right away. We were together for about 4 months when we found out I was pregnant. I know, extremely soon, we weren't expecting it at all. Things for the next 6 months were going great. We were slowly starting to get things together for Lily and getting anxious to meet her. Needless to say at 6 months she wasn't very big so we were just getting used to seeing her move and I could feel her all the time. It was an amazing feeling. Well during the beginning of that 6 months I noticed I was bleeding... lightly so I wasn't too concerned at first. I called the doctor and he immediately brought me in to see what was going on. We went in the room and started an ultrasound of the baby. Everything appeared fine, the baby was in a great position, heart rate was stable... Then he decided to check my cervix, I was 4 cm dilated. I immediately freaked and had no idea what was going to happen. The doctor got on the phone right away and called the hospital to set up med flight. In our town, our hospital has no means of taking on a premature baby. So they whisked me to our hospital, immediately started undressing me, putting in ivs, giving me a steroid shot for the baby's lungs, and had me on a helicopter going to a hospital almost 2 hours away. Travis couldn't ride with me so he, my sister and mom drove up to meet us. Doctors came in and I was 7 cm dilated. They said it could be a matter of days or even months if the magnesium they were giving me would stop me from having her. I was so terrified, I mean, I had only been pregnant for 26 weeks. They had me strapped to bed with a cuff on each leg to promote circulation, a blood pressure cuff on my arm that went off every half hour, ivs and more. I wasn't allowed to eat or drink anything. Four days went by, I had been having horrible back pain and was not allowed to sit up for anything. On that fourth day at 4:45 am I started feeling contractions, I thought, "oh my, it's actually happening". By that day I was so scared but almost relieved because for the 4 days I had been just miserable and terrified. So they came and put the epidural in. Well 15 hours had passed by and the epidural wasn't working, I had been trucking through it though, breathing through every contraction. The doctors kept coming in a pumping different types of pain meds into the epidural and nothing was working. 9 pm rolled around and I had just had enough, the contractions were intense and I just could not do it anymore. The doctor checked my cervix and the sac was low so he said we could try to have the baby. He would bust the sac but that it could turn out badly because not only is there tons of different complications with having a premature baby, but I might not have the baby right away, it could be hours to even a week and that could cause the baby and I to get infections. Well Travis and I just decided we would try to have the baby, so they came in busted the sac and within 5 minutes of doing that I had a contraction and before I knew it they were telling me to push. I looked up and it went from being just travis, a nurse, a doctor, and i to about 10 doctors in the room. I was scared and confused but within 15 minutes Lily had arrived. They immediately took her away. I hadn't seen her yet and she wasn't crying, about 2 minutes went by (the longest 2 minutes of my life), and I heard one of the doctors say, "the heart rate is fine". I was so relieved. They got her stable enough to transfer her to the nicu. A nurse came in and explained how the baby would be taken to the nicu and stabilized before we could go see her. They transferred me to a different room and they said it would take about 2 hours to see her. They had explained to be that she had severe bruising on her face because it was against my pelvic bone and to not be discouraged by it. So while we were waiting, I was starving from not eating for days so coincidentally there was a Wendy's in the hospital. I went and chowed down, then the call came that we could go see her. We went down and while we were walking up to her little plastic incubator I was so nervous, we looked down and there was this 1 pound 12 ounce, 12 inch long baby with a severely bruised face, hooked up to so many wires and oxygen. It was scary but wonderful at the same time. She was in the hospital for next 3 months, getting bigger and stronger. She was 5 lbs when we brought her home. It's now been 3 more months and she is 14 lbs and 2 feet long. She's thriving and is extremely advanced for her corrected age of 3 months. Travis says, "Chalsae, I told you when you got pregnant that you were carrying a ninja baby, and you know, nothing can take down a ninja." :D

  • What do you think about the "ark" project?

I was looking through the questions and didn't see anything about it. I'm just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on this. How do you think the project will get funded? How will residents be chosen?

  • Does anyone have a good chicken or turkey pot pie recipe?

Preferably one with potatoes, carrots, peas and onions? I find all kinds of pot pie recipes but none usually have the potatoes. I know it's easy to add but I'm not sure of how to prepare the potatoes before putting them into the recipe. Also if it could be one that is just as good as home made but uses store bought ingredients. Thank you!!

  • Should I let my pediatrician give my 6 month old baby the flu shot?

Lily, my daughter, is now 6 months old... but she was born 3 months early. She was a micro preemie and is doing very well. At our 6 month well visit, our pediatrician asked if we would like to give her the flu shot. She is highly recommending that we do. I am not sure what to do. I don't really know about the H1N1 being combined with the flu shot. I've been looking all over for opinions and such and they seem to be split down the middle. I'm so confused, I just don't know what to do. Any suggestions on how I can come to a good decision? Are there any parents out there who has given it to their 6 month old?
