I bought a used iPhone 5s with rogers activated no iCloud lock and it's not blacklisted either , do I need the original account to unlock it?

I wanted to purchase a second hand (new) iPhone 5s, locked. I want to unlock it from carrier, but I heard that I need the original owner to unlock it. Is this true? Or do I just have to pay $50 and I can do it myself? By the way I live in Edmonton, AB, in Canada. iPhones Im considering are either locked to Telus, Rogers, or Bell

I recently bought a used iPhone 5 locked to the Canadian carrier Fido, but somehow my Fido Sim card isn't working, I went to a Fido booth in a mall to ask, but as usual, those small booths in shopping malls are completely useless and clueless, and so I went to a Apple store nearby, they suggested me buying a new NANO sim, because mines was cut. I went back to Fido to purchase one, although I did not transfer the contract of the original sim to the newly bought NANO sim, my iPhone did detect it, but said its carrier was not compatible. I checked the settings, and indeed the carrier said "Fido 16.0", and I also checked the IMEI, which was also clean... I just cant figure out why its not working.... please help ! thanks for all answers :)

I was interested in buying a second hand iPhone 5 or 5s unlocked (or I can unlock it myself), will it work in China? From my knowledge only specific models do and only if its factory unlocked, please correct me if I am wrong.

I have a pair of Monster DNA headphones, but I really don't like to deal with wires, especially when Im on a bus with a crowd of people, and the wire just likes to tangle with other people and pull off. Is there such thing as a wireless headphone jack transmitter/ receiver? Im not sure if thats what you exactly call it, but ideally i want a small piece that plugs into the 35mm jack on my Headphones , that either acts as bluetooth, and can be connected to my smartphone, or plug in another small piece on my smartphone's earphone jack. If anyone knows anything like this, can you possibly put a link up, and where to buy it?

I have the new 2012 Macbook Pro 15inch, and it doesn't have a DVD Drive. I have both Windows and Mac OSX, but I dont have a credit card or anything so I can't get the downloadable version off amazon or something. Is it possible to put the COD disk in my mom's laptop that has a DVD drive, use a USB and transfer the data to my mac? Or is there any other possibilties?

Does anyone know how to properly install Backtrack 5 into VMWare Player? I have Backtrack5 32Bit ISO, but when i install it into VMWare Player, it does install good, but after it just says loading forever on the blackscreen and told me to install guest user? what is that? I have a fast computer and used 2 cores and 1GB ram for this process, someone please help

I have a project for science and I am supposed to do a building, my teacher is totally awesome so he suggest me and this other guy to do the World of Warcraft Stormwind City, and the project is supposed to be on how it was made (i know by the Blizzard WoW team, but how did they exactly), my teacher used to play WoW so he said that it was inspired by this European city of Carccasonne. My partner is researching Carccasonne, and I need to research about Stormwind, but every page is about the vendors and quests and other in game stuff, I need the architecture, how it was build info, and what it was actually inspired by and as much info as you can tell me. I got a free download of windows 7 home premium, i just installed it in my new custom built gaming system, it went good but when it says installing windows (into hard drive), it is stuck at 11 percent at "expanding windows", its been stuck at 11 percent over 20 minutes, does anyone know if its supposed to be very slow or do I have a problem and by the way my hard drive is 7200 rpm, and it has over 200 GB left.

I play mainly protoss, so I usually have an army of 6 colossus, 40 stalkers, 8 sentries, 4 immortals, and a observer. Is there anything wrong with this build? And is there any weaknesses to this build? I usually attack in around 20 minutes, or my opponent attacks me in around 20minutes, and so also, is it recommended o have 2-4 gateways or 2-4 stargates at each expansion? Since if your opponent destroys your main base, it takes you a while to build gateways/warpgates, and stargates and robo bays. But is it worth it economically? And also does protoss have any weakness to Terran or Zerg, all I know is that protoss stuff are expensive. And when is the best time to expand (not rushing)?

So lately I have been increasing my Starcraft 2 skills and I definitely win 50% or more of the games I play, but why isn't my rank going up. I win 2 or 3 1v1 matches in a row, and my 1v1 rank stays at Bronze 10, why is that? And all my wins are fair, no cheese and rarely rushes. Andl also, do professional leagues just ask you to join there team if your a Grand Master? Because I really want to get high ranked (at least gold)

The total cost is around 1200, and 900 is my budget buy my parents are probably buying me the monitor. And I know the Hard drive was a cheapout, because I don't have enough money to get a good one, so I am going to get another 250GB hard drive and another 64GB SSD later on

So I am interested on how to be a professional gamer. I am 12, but I love video games, but since my school marks aren't very high, and my parents are asian, I don't get to play video games on school days, so I play around 20 hours on weekends, I mainly play Starcraft II, because thats a very popular game for pro gamers, and also WoW, but I don't pay often , so I don't play that often either. I also play LoL, and Battlefield 3, and so I game on a laptop so I don't have the best gaming condition but my laptop is good gaming laptop so it can get SCII high-ultra no lag, and for LoL, my laptop can get 35FPS+ Maxed out, but for BF3 I can only play on medium settings no lag, I am planning to get a new gaming desktop, so is there anyway I can be a professional gamer, especially Starcraft II gamer, since Im pretty good at it, and I probably won around 75 percent of the 1v1 matches I play. Is there any way I can do a audition or do professional gaming teams just look at top ranked in each game? I want to know as much as possible, but Im not much of a fan of FPS pro gamer, because I think there is not much skill , all you need is a highend gaming desktop with fast internet, a large HD monitor, and gaming mouse and keyboard and headset, but SC2 actually requires thinking and strategy. And also, don't judge my cpu, i know some people are itchy with Amd, but just to save money and get high performance, i am willing to go with amd.
