  • Christians: why reject all other religions?

In other words, how do you explain billions of people being so wrong? Why is their God fake and your God real? Why are they misguided and you enlightened?

Please answer specifically in terms of the other religions. In my view, pat remarks like "there is only one true God" or that the Bible is true because it's God's word only make one's faith seem blind and empty.

  • Which Yahoo! Answers sections do you visit besides R&S?

And what is your religious affiliation? I'm interested to see wether there any interesting trends among those with similar beliefs.

  • Does God really answer prayers?

I'd like to try a little experiment.

Religious people: before you post your answer, please ask God to guide your fingers so that you make no spelling or grammatical errors. Then write your honest answer to my question, and let's see if the believers' answers come through correctly. The more you write, the more you trust God.

No spell checking, and no pasting of long prewritten Bible verses, please.

  • Religious people: why should geography choose your religion?

I've never understood why people simply accept the religion they are given as children. In the USA, most people are Christian and many of those people are CONVINCED that their religion is correct (without necessarily studying other religions).

If you were born in India, you'd be more likely to be SURE that Hinduism is correct.

If you were born in Saudi Arabia, you'd be POSITIVE that Islam is the only true religion.

So I ask religious people: if you were born somewhere else in the world, would you still have chosen your present religion? Christians: if you were born in a Muslim nation, to Muslim parents, would you still have chosen Christianity?

  • Why Jesus? Why not God?

I'm not Christian, so forgive my ignorance. But why do Christians, at least in America, talk so much more about Jesus than God?

Jesus loves you. Jesus saves. I accept Jesus as my lord, etc. Isn't God bigger and better? Why praise Jesus when you can praise The Big Man?
