Roger's Blaze of Glory

So I ordered the aforementioned murder mystery game at the last second for a birthday. I'd like to tell everyone who the characters are, so they have some time to scrape a costume together. As it is, the game will probably arrive one or two days before the event.

My question: can I have a description of the characters and what they're supposed to look like? I DO NOT want to know any spoilers, as I will be participating too. If you could tell me, that would be awesome.

On Monday, I'm participating in my first official classroom debate. The subject is whether the Agricultural Revolution was a positive or negative advancement for humankind (I'm on the negative).

No, I'm not asking anyone to research for me, as I find making others online do schoolwork for you extremely pathetic, and I have some great Jared Diamond material to check out. I'm just wondering if you guys have any adivce for debating, since I've never done it before. It sounds like fun, but I'm not sure what to expect. My position is one of the people who says the rebuttals, if you can give me any suggestions for that.

I would have to say episode 1x14, the cheese task in Switzerland. You know, where they had to carry the fifty pound rolls of cheese down a hill...I found it utterly hilarious. So what about you guys?

This Halloween, I'm playing hockey for the first time. I'm wondering if you, the good people of Yahoo! Answers have some advice for a beginner. I think I know the rules...I can skate quite well, I've figure skated for nine years, and my best friend is going to help me. But any tips you can pass on would be appreciated.

Before you read this, keep in mind plagiarizing is the LAST thing I want to do. So don't yell at me for the way I phrased the question.

I was browsing through a section of fanfiction (I will not reveal the fandom, as I am slightly embarrassed I read it) and I came across a summary for a story. That summary really hooked me and I fell in love with it. I would love to use it in writing a screenplay maybe...but it's not mine. I would NEVER take it without asking...but I'm not quite sure how to ask. Any ideas?

I'm just curious to see how far the rest of the writing community is in their novels, since so many people talk about them here. If you have a word count, that would be perfect. I'm at about 32,000, but not nearly done.

During the winter olympics of 2002 or 2006, I saw a trailer many times for a hockey movie. It took place after World War 2 and nobody was expecting a Canadian hockey team to win in the olympics, but I think they did.

I know that's kind of vague, but that's all I remember. I can't find it on IMDB or Wikipedia...and this will bug me forever. Help!

I am a teenage girl who has been figure skating since age 7. However, my novel has inspired me to be interested in hockey as well and I asked a friend to teach me. She and another friend who play hockey are encouraging me to join the team. Unfortunately, I am none too certain I want to, but at the same time it sounds like fun.

I am REALLY competitive, a fast skater and slightly temperamental which is probably why friends and family have told me I should take up hockey. But I just don't want to dump figure skating, since I participate in the town ice show. I'm only mediocre, but I usually enjoy it.

I also enjoy figure skating because I love wearing my glittery miniskirts and pretty, custom made skates. I know it sounds shallow...but I don't really like hockey uniforms. In addition to all that, I would have to leave the cushy private rink which is nice and warm for the freezing public rink. Not fun!

Should I try hockey? Figure skate? Try both? Help! So unsure of what to do.

And could you give me some reasoning, too? Like WHY do you prefer your choice?

I used to be a fan when the movie came out. However, I realized what bad writing it is and now I simply scoff at it. Now I can't see what I saw in it in the first place.

Anyone care to enlighten WHY it is sooooooooooooooooo good?

Just so you know, I'm not a hater. I just don't like it. I prefer stuff like Spring Awakening, where the characters have flaws and there is a plot other than 'Edward is beautiful' and they aren't afraid to swear.
