  • Horrible headache and back pain 3 days post delivery.?

I had a c-section with a spinal on Wednesday and was released from the hospital yesterday. On Thurs I developed a little headache that went away with the pain regimen they were giving me, however yesterday and today the headache is horrible and so is the back pain. I feel much better when laying down, however with an infant that is a bit hard to accomplish.

I did some searching on the internet and it seems to me this might be a "spinal headache." My question is has anyone had similar symptoms and if so did they go away on their own or did you have to seek medical intervention?

    Thanks for any advise.

  • Short term disability insurance question...?

I know it may be a bit late but I am wondering if there are any companies that you can apply for a short term disability plan AFTER sustaining an injury.

We have always had STDI however when our company switched to a new payroll company this year our request did not go through for the STDI but did for all other elections. I didn't even notice until now when we need it as my husband broke his heel and they are saying he is going to have to be out of work for 8-10 weeks.

Not good in any situation but I am also 8 months pregnant so it makes matters worse.

Any suggestions/advise would be helpful! Thanks.

  • I downloaded speedupmypc and fixed the issues it suggested to improve internet/computer speed...?

and after doing the reboot I am having nothing but issues with my computer.

First of all my audio driver isn't working correctly. On about every other boot up of the computer it will work otherwise I get an error stating the driver is missing, however when I go into the sound/audio devise settings it shows the driver is there and working properly. In addition to the audio driver not working correctly my network connections are not working either. When I try to connect to the internet using a different computer (one that did not have this program installed) it will connect to the internet but it is wayyyyy so. It seems like the program changed some of the settings of the modem itself.

I have since deleted speedupmypc off my laptop however I can not figure out how to correct the issues that I am having. I tried doing a "last known good configuration" however that isn't helping since the booting up has always been good.

If someone could PLEASE help it would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hyperemesis during pregnancy any advice?

I am going on week 10 of my pregnancy and for the last 2 weeks now I have been non-stop throwing up. I do attempt to eat even if it's just crackers but literally within 30 minutes now everything is right back up.So far since finding out that I was pregnant I have lost 10 lbs. I have already been to the ER for IV fluids and was giving Pheneregan by the ER Dr. which obviously has it's risks. I've taken it a few times however it provides no relief only a bad headache and extreme drowsiness so I stopped taking it. I have no energy and only want to lay around all the time.

Does anyone have any suggestions that they have used in the past for assistance getting through this difficult time? This is my 3rd child yet my 1st experience ever with any type of sickness.

  • Possible conception date question...?

So this will be a bit lengthy...

I just took a HPT and it came out positive. Now I'm trying to figure out how far along I would be as I look right now like I'm 3-4 months however based on my last menstrual period I would only be 5 weeks and a few days. Here's where my issue is though, for the past 3 months I haven't had a normal period. My last normal period was on 8-26 and was until the 29th. I then didn't have another "period" until 10-14 which lasted until the 16th however it was very light and didn't have any clots. I did take a HPT during this time however it came out negative. My next bleeding was on 11-6 and lasted until the 11-10. This time it was a bit heavier however once again no clots.

So my cycle length was 47 days, 25 days and now I'm pregnant. I'm going to make an apt with my Doctor and possibly request an ultrasound measurement done to verify correct due dates, but based on your opinion would you go from the 11-6 date or is there a possibility I could have conceived prior to that?

  • Is it unfair to require Christmas gifts...?

My husband is divorced with 2 children (10 & 13). With the holidays coming up we are trying to decide if it is unfair for us to ask that all gifts received by us and family remain at our home instead of going home with them to their mother's.

What do any divorced parents think about the situation?

  • Tenant Foreclosure Question?

I have an acquaintance that has been living in a rental property for the last year. The home went into foreclosure about 9 months ago and she decided to stop paying her rent, so for the past 8 months she has lived there rent free. She put it in her head that she was going to be able to live there for 2 years free before anything would be done and on top of that she would be given $3500 to move at when it came to that.

About 2 months ago she started receiving notifications that she needed to vacate the premise which she did not do. Last Monday she had someone knock at her door telling her once again she needed to vacate as the house was being auctioned and was supposed to have already been vacant. Of course she didn't do so. On Friday she apparently received a letter stating the home did not sell at auction to a private owner however it did sell to Fannie Mae. She is now telling everyone that the notice states she could either purchase the home or she could move out and they would give her money to move provided she left the house in decent condition. (By the way she is planning on taking all the appliances out of the home when she moves)

Has anyone heard of Fannie Mae doing this for renters who haven't paid rent for months? We just find it hard to believe and this person has a tendency for drastically stretching the truth.

  • Weird periods/bleeding and pregnancy symptoms? Anyone had similar experience?

Long story short. My "normal" period was back on Aug 26th. I went almost 7 weeks without another period. On Oct. 12th I started bleeding lightly (not enough to fill a pad in 8 hours and very watery) for 2 days. After that nothing.

Yesterday I had light bleeding once again watery and not much. Both times there weren't any clots, etc. I've had all typical symptoms of being pregnant as I already have 2 children (nausea, vomiting, cravings, etc.) During that 7 week period I did take 2 home pregnancy tests and both were negative.

Has anyone had a similar experience before? Any suggestions?

  • My dog is extremely timid...Help?

I have a lab/chow mix whom I have had since she was a puppy. She has never been hit or beaten, however she is extremely timid and scared of people outside my family. Kids, adults, man or woman it doesn't matter. She will bark and take off running.

It's so bad that I can't even take her for walks, because if someone walks by she tries pulling off her harness.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get her to come around with others? It's got to be so traumatizing for her and I hate to see her so scared.

  • How do I make a slip cover for a sectional couch?

I just received a leather sectional couch from a friend and the seat cushions are in less than desirable shape. I was hoping to buy a slip cover for the full sectional however everything that I find is hundreds of dollars, so I am hoping to make one myself.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to make one?

  • Refundable deposit?...?

I sold a couch to a couple on 1/17. They gave me a $60 deposit on a $220 couch stating that they would be back the next day to pick it up. I said that would be fine and if they needed some additional time in making arrangements to pick it up just to let me know. Well as of Friday 1/22 I still hadn't heard anything from the couple in regards to when they were planning on picking up the couch, so I sent them an email. They responded immediately and stated they were out of town and wouldn't be back until Monday. I then sent a return email asking when they planned on picking up the couch...Of course no response.

My question is....If I give them a specific date (Wed) to come and pick up/pay for the couch and they do not meet the deadline do I have to return their deposit? I am a bit irritated as I feel that they gave the deposit to hold the couch, but really didn't have the full amount and that's why they have been beating around the bush to come and get it.

I have had numerous people email me since I received the deposit whom have wanted to come and buy it but I obviously stated it was taken. On Wed it will have been 11 days since they were to come and pay the rest of what is due.

    Any suggestions?

  • My house sustained damage while in my realtors care...?

I have recently moved out of my home and I have my house listed with a realtor. During the last showing June 22nd, someone (be it the potential buyer or realtor) did not close my downstairs basement door. We have had horrible storms the last couple of weeks and water/moisture has gotten under my hardwoods. Now most of them are pulling up and bending causing damage.

It was 3 weeks after the showing that I was made aware of the situation, as I had someone go to my home to pick up some empty boxes. Mind you, my realtor had been to my property atleast 2 times since the showing and never managed to go downstairs and check things out.

Should he be liable for the repairs? Are there any clauses in realty contracts that state he wouldn't be help liable?

  • My period is 9 days overdue. I have taken two home pregnancy tests and both are negative. Could I be pregnant?

My period is always on the 6th or 7th of the month. I can not be on birth control so my husband and I use a condom every time. I know they are not 100%, but what are the chances? I have two children already and both tests came out positive immediately with them both. In fact I knew I was pregnancy w/ my daughter before I even took the test. I've been having minimal pains, no hunger but mild nausea. Is it possible for the tests to be incorrect?

  • Should I have my dog put to sleep if he bites someone?

I have a male American Pitbull Terrier who yesterday bit someone out of fear. He has never showed any aggression in the past, in fact he is the dog that will automatically roll on his back so someone can pet him.

The bite was a snip in the face, however it caused the lip to rip and she had to go to the hospital and have stitches. I am fearful that this might happen again in the future and I have two small children.

    Please help. Thanks.
