I have connected my desktop pc and laptop with ethernet cable through a router. I have a broadband connection of 1 mbps. I am doing it like this, i plugged my service provider cable to router in port 1 then I plugged my ethernet cable in port 3 of router with my desktop pc then I have connected my laptop with router in port 5. The problems is, in my laptop it shows lan connection but when i go to site it show you are not connected to internet but in my desktop, connection has made and it work as normal. my os is window 7. please guide me on how to share internet connecton.
