My 5 year old is very pulled back from other kids. She is the type where if a group of kids are playing and she wants to play too, she will walk over and jsut stand there waiting to be invited in. She is starving for attn and IDK why because I smother her with attention and love at home. She started telling me she hates herself and the other day she started to punch herself in the head saying that that pain takes the pain out of her heart : ' ( I put her in counseling but I wanted to hear from any other parents that may be or have dealt with something like this before. She throws tantrums for no reason and the only thing that calms her down is me bear hugging her singing to her. If anyone can help me, it would be appreciated.

I was always 140lbs. I had a daughter and bounced right back, 13 months later I had my son and gained 80 lbs. During my c-section with him, they discovered I had ovarian cancer. I had surgery to remove my ovaries 5 months after my c-section and after that I havent been able to loose a lb. I have exercised, ate right, I just have no energy and dont know what to do. Im desperate to loose this weight and I dont have tons of money to drop on all these beach body challanges and personal trainers. Can anyone help???

My husband and I have been married for 5 years. 2 months ago he admitted that thru the course of these 5 years, he had cheated on me with 8 different women. I chose to take it to the Lord and let him guide me with what I should do since the only acceptable form of divorce is if the spouse cheated. I chose to forgive my husband and have been going to counseling. He has been really trying to prove to me that he wants our family to work and he is done with the cheating. He went to jail last month for a DUI and just last night he told me that the last girl he cheated on me with, the one that he began an actual relationship with, he called from jail and "supposedly" told her that he is sorry for everything but he is going to make it work with me. Then tells me that she has been writing him letters since he has been in jail. He swears he never wrote her back and part of his closure was to contact her and let her know that he is done with her. When he told me she wrote him I lost it.. Cursed him out and told him its over and that I cant deal with it anymore. I asked him how many times he called her from jail and he refuses to tell me. He says its not 21 questions and all i need to know is that its over and I can either deal with that and move on with him or dont and sorry to say have a nice life. We have 2 children together and even though thats not the reason why I have stayed, its a big part of the equation. Was I over reacting when I snapped on him or do I have every reason to be pissed? He said i need to leave the past in the past but how can I if the past keeps haunting me? I left it in the past when I chose to forgive him but he contacted her to let her know he was in jail and accepted her letters and who knows if he wrote back to her. Any advice is much appreciated.. Im 28 years old and just had my 2nd child. During my csection, they removed my right over and after the pathologist looked at it, they determined that I had low aggressive, non invasive ovarian cancer and they are about 95% sure that it did not spread and was completely removed with the ovary. I saw an oncologist yesterday and he said that he would highly recommend a full hysterectomy because there is a high chance of the cancer coming back in my other ovary and this time not being detected until it is too late.. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with this and if so, is hysterectomy my only option? Im only 28 and to have a hysterectomy at my age, even though the dr said he would put me on estrogen pills to prevent the onset of menoapuse, I still may want more children and I wont be able too. Any information would be helpful.. Thanks.

My son was born with meconium aspiration on Saturday. They said he could have swallowed it a few days before birth because his nails and the cord were stained greenish. They put him on ventilator because he was breathing but not like he should. They also said he developed pneumonia and had a small sliver of a hole in his lungs where oxygen was leaking out. He was not a premmie or over due. I was 38 weeks and he was 9lbs 3oz. They took him off the ventilator on Sunday and he was fine till last night. They called and said his oxygen saturation dropped to the 80's when a healthy childs is in the 90's to 100 so they put him on oxygen. He is eating great but gets cranky. They said his stomach often gets large because he is breathing so fast and heavy that its filling it up with air and when he cries he doesnt have enough oxygen reserve to breath properly. They didnt tell me if its severe meconium or what, just that he will be ok. Very vague. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this and if you could share any experiences or anything information wise possible because Im so scared that something serious will happen to him. My daughter had a high fever of 102 last week. I took her to the drs because of that and because her body kept jerking everytime she sat still or went to doze off to sleep. She was having febrile seizures I was told because of the rapid increase in her temp. The drs told me that once the fever goes away, she will stop having them. Well today, she was running a slight fever of 99 and she started to have them again. She started to jerk and shake when she was in her crib getting ready to go to sleep. I have a drs appt for her tomorrow at 9 but im still so worried about her and wondering if anyone else can shed some light on what this might be, Thanks,

Im 31 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby and I havent really been eating healthy or drinking water. I know I should be and Ihave no excuse why I am not. I was wondering what affects not drinking water will have on my baby and also, are prenatals more for the mom or for the baby? Thanks

I have been married for 5 years, we have a 17 month old daughter and Im pregnant with our son. My husbands 6 year YOUNGER brother lives with his girlfriend and their 2 children. My husband lately, has been saying that he wants to move in with his brother and rather live there with him then with us, his family. I cannot understand how a grown married man, rather live with another man and his family then with his own. He just states that at his brothers, noone would constantly nag him about where he is going, and he could just come and go as he pleases. Everytime we get into a fight, he is always threatening me that he will leave and go move in with them. Our main argument is about how he does nothing to help me around the house or with our daughter and being as though Im 8 months pregnant, its getting harder for me to maintain all the responsibilities solely by myself. I was wondering if anyone was in this situation before or if anyone can offer me some kind of advice towards this. Thanks so much,

I have been working at my job for 2 months now. I was found through an employment agency and I still work through the employment agency. They placed me at my current job now. Since I have been here, the job Im at is telling me how happy they are with me, how great Im doing and as soon as their contract expires which is 3 months long, they are going to bring me on full time. I found out I was pregnant 3 weeks ago and after my drs appt I informed my job. Since then, there has been alot of behind my back conference calls with the agency that I work for. I went into the person here that I work for and asked them if they were going to decide not to hire me because of this and he said they woudl never not hire me because of this, that he is happy with me he just has to run it by the official Human resources lady and see what she says but he doesnt feel it to be a problem. That was last Tuesday. i went to him yesterday and he said he hasnt discussed anything with her yet. My agency called to speak with him yesterday and he said he woudl get back to them by the end of the week, So today i overheard them saying they had a conference call with my agency. I didnt say anything because its all being done secretly. Im just wondering if its legal to let a person go because of this. I live in Phila. PA by the way.. Thanks

Is it possible to get pregnant on your ovulation day or the day after? Im currently 5 months pregnant but Im trying to figure out when I conceived. My LMP was May 9. I had sex May 18 then not again until May 23, several times, 24th once and 25th several times. According to most calculators, it says my ovulation day occured on May 23rd. I heard that sperm can live up to 5 days but its unlikely to get pregnant with sperm that has been in your body for 5 days. Can someone try to help with me with when I may have conceived??? Im trying to figure it out. Thanks so much.

My husband is in jail. Basically, his brother was beating his girlfriend, my husband stepped in and my mother in law called the cops on him and said that my husband had broken into her home, assaulted my brother in law and in the process, there was destruction on her house. So there was one count of aggravated assault in the 1st degree, 1 count of breaking and entering and 3 counts of destruction of private property. She is fully pressing charges against him but at the same time, she hired a lawyer to defend him because she knows she lied and how he wants nothing to do with her anymore for this and she is trying to make it up to him. This happened in June. The lawyer has not once in the past 4 months, contacted my husband to talk to him about the case, what he wants him to do regarding the case, how he wants to plead him out, nothing. He refused to even talk to me and Im his legal wife. He said that because his mother hired him, she specifically told him not to talk to me. My mother in law basically is calling the shots from the prosecution because they are telling her what kind of sentence they are requesting based on her charges, she he is calling the shots with my husbands defense because she is telling them what the prosecution is going to do and telling the lawyer what she wants him to do for my husband. He was supposed to have a hearing today but he was never called to go. I called the courts and they said that my husband signed a paper waiving his rights to a preliminary hearing, his rights to attend his own trial and his rights to his own legal defense and giving my mother in law 100% permission to handle his legal affairs for him. My husband never signed anything like that. . I told the court about everything and they said that the lawyer submitted a paper stating this and said my husband signed it. I called the lawyer and after much threats he finally talked to me and refused to fax me that paper with my husbands signature on it and only told me that there was a continuance on the hearing and when he hears about another date he will let my husband know. When I questioned him on how he could represent my husband but never have spoken to him a day in his life, he said because he doesnt have to speak to my husband because my mother in law is paying him. I said how can you work for the person that is pressing charges against your defendant and he said i work for whoever pays me and he hung up on me. My husband wrote a letter and sent it to the attorney firing him, then sent it to the courts but the lawyer swears he never got it and my mother in law told the court that I wrote it forging my husbands signature solely because her and I dont get along and they believed her and did not take the lawyer off the case.Can someone please give me advice on if this is legal for the attorney and my mother in law to do this and if not, what can I do, who can I contact about this because he will not get a fair hearing. BTW, we live in Pennsylvania and this happened in Media, Pa. Sorry so long and thanks for answering..

My husband is currently in jail. Long story short, my husbands brother was fighting with his girlfriend in his moms house, my husband jumped in to stop his brother from hurting his girlfriend and in the process of doing that, somethings in the house got broken and my mother in law pressed charges of destruction of private property charges against my husband. We have a 14 month old daughter and Im 5 months pregnant with our son. When the police came to arrest my husband, she lied and said he did things that he never did and now he has about 6 different charges pending against him and everytime he has a court date, she decides not to show up so they issue a continuance. My brother in laws girlfriend told me that mother in law is purposely not showing up because she wants him to miss the birth of our son. Mind you, in the 14 months that my daughter has been here, she hasnt done one thing to help me out. She didnt get her anything for christmas, never went to her birthday party and still to this day has not called me to wish her a happy birthday and its 2 months after her birthday. She tells my husband that she doesnt believe our daughter is his because she is too light (im italian and he is black) and she also said that she doesnt think our son is either ebcause I got pregnant so quick after having our daughter. Because of what she did, my husband may go to jail for a significant amount of time, he is missing my pregnancy and may miss the birth of our son and he missed our daughters first birthday and he is missing her growing up. Im furious at her and everynight when him and I speak, he tells me how he spoke to her and how everything is ok and he forgives her for what she did. I tell him i cant understnad how he can forgive her for all the things that she is making him miss by keeping him jail and for the way she treats our daughter and me, his wife. He said that I have to be the bigger person and get over it. its almost like he is trying to make me feel like Im in the wrong for being mad at her for what she has done to my family. Am I wrong for this? SHould I be mad at her and why is he so forgiving of what she did? Thanks for any advice.

I just found out I was 4 months pregnant. I didnt now sooner because I kept getting my period. This month I didnt, went to the dr and told me how far I was based on an ultrasound. My issue is that since I didnt know, I was drinking alot of caffeine because I am a caffeine drinker and havent been taking my prenatals, or eating healthy. I was wonderng if any of this will play a serious part in any kind of health issues for my baby. Im worried and angry that I didnt know sooner and also that I was taking proper care of myself. Im about 17 weeks pregnant and this weekend I was in the hospital because I have a large ovarian cyst on my ovary. I was in such pain I went there and they admitted me for a day and a half. During my stay, they have me 2 percocets, which did nothing, a small dose of dilauted which also did nothing and then morphine drip which actually helped. I was on it for an entire day and then they released me on Tylenol with Codene. I took 2 of those pills and nothing after that for fear of something happening. I was wondering if anyone knows if these pain medicines can be harmful to the baby, long term effects. Etc. Thanks.

How likely is it to get pregnant when your not ovulating? I know there is a chance but how likely is it? The reason Im asking is becaus I had sex when I wasnt ovulation and then again when I was and Im pregnant now and trying to figure out which time I became pregnant. Thanks for the help

Hi. Im pregnant and I think I need to get this procedure done and Im scared to death. I heard about the risks of it and I was wondering if anyone has had to get it done, could they share with me the experience. For instance, did insurance cover it, when the baby was born, did the baby have any birth defects due to this, etc. Please, any information will help. Thanks so much!

I wanted to know if a man is a very bad cocaine/crack addict, how likely is it that he would get a woman pregnant. I mean is his sperm healthy enough to get someone pregnant?? Thanks for the help...

This is a 2 part question so please if you can, answer both.

I had my first ultrasound last night and they measured my baby to be 6 weeks and 3 days. I was wondering how accurate these results are meaning in the measurement of the baby Should I completely bank on the fact that they said im almost 7 weeks or are the ultrasound measurements sometimes false???

2nd, how long after intercourse do you get pregnant. How long does it take the sperm to enter the egg, etc. Thanks so much.

Im 6 weeks pregnant with baby #2. With my first, I was sick, always tired, throwing up like crazy. It was bad. I felt pregnant. Now, I have not one symptom at all and I dont feel pregnant. I just feel normal. Is there something wrong or shoudl I just be lucky that Im not experiencing any sickness??? PLease help!!!
