  • Can i file an insurance claim 1 year later on roof?

I am selling my house. My buyers inspected and were told that the roof has hail damage. The roof is 10 years old and we have no leaks/problems. There was a huge hail storm in april 08 and about 1/3 of the town filed claims and got new roofs then. My buyer wants me to file a claim with my insurance co and have a new roof put on. Will they cover something that supposedly happened over a year ago? The roof is still very intact, no shingles missing, but there are small (dime size) spots missing on some of the shingles. What do we do?

  • Turbo Tax Connection problems?

I have tried to login to turbo tax for days now and I am having problems with the initial screen that says it is trying to create a secure connection. It just goes and goes until I finally close it (after 30+ minutes!) I have used the online program for years, from this same computer and all. I am positive that my login info is correct as well. Any ideas what may have changed to cause this problem? Thanks!

  • Is it possible to get visitation for a week at a time (child is 2 in TX)?

My sister's ex husband is taking her back to court to try and get their son for a week at a time every other week. The child is 2. My sister has sole custody and her ex only has visitation 1, 3 and 5th weekend, but he is getting the child on saturday morning and returning him sunday evening, which already exceeds the visitation allowments for tx anyway. Basically he didnt get any custody because my sister was able to prove he was an alcoholic even though he claimed in court that he hasn't had a drink since high school (6 years ago). Anyway, he got this new job in the oil field where he is on a week/off a week. I should mention that this is his 5th job this year and his 16th job in 3 years. He usually gets fired. Oh, and the parents live 400 miles apart. I know, lots of drama, but is it possible that a judge would allow this? What would happen when the child starts pre-k in 2 years? Advice would be much appreciated. she just fired her overpriced attorney ($13,000 later) Thanks

  • Why did you choose to be a PA?

I am working on my CASPA application and I have to write an essay about why I am motivated to be a PA. After all of my shadowing hours, I am more sure now than ever that this is what I want to do, but I am having a hard time putting my reasons into words. I am not looking for everyone else to write my essay for me, I was just wondering what attracted you to the profession. I would love to hear from PA's, NP's or even physicians! Thanks!

  • Nervous about Hurricane season on the gulf coast???

Is anyone else more concerned about this than any other typical year? I heard that the top forecasters were predicting major landfalls in the Texas gulf this year since El Nino won't be around to keep the storms out to sea. Anyone know anything about this?
