10 AnswersOther - Society & Culture9 years agoMuslims: Why do you respect Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) more than the other prophets?
For example, there is a noticeable and striking difference in the manner in which the names of the other prophets and that of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is taken in religious gatherings, and also personally.
The caricature of the cartoon of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) {by the Danish cartoonist} some years ago created a furore across the globe. Caricatures of Jesus and other prophets (of Islam) are on display also, but the Muslims never condenm such acts/doings; why?
The Holy Quran specifically mentions that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is 'just' another Messenger of God. There were many before him. So, isn't it incumbent upon us Muslims to treat and regard all the prophets of God in a similar and equal manner??
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoThe Quran isn't mentioned as one of the five pillars of Islam... So, what is its position?
Is the Glorious Koran given an inferior position in Islam, since it finds no mention in the "five pillars"?
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoOsama showed no mercy to the West/Americans...Will Allah (swt) then show mercy to him?
Islam categorically states that those who are merciful to others, Allah (swt) will show mercy to them on the Day of Judgement.
We all know and considerably understand how Osama mercilessly (and successfully) plotted 9/11. Thus in the backdrop of this, will Allah (swt) shower him with mercy on the Day of Judgement???

Would the world become safer because of this peculiar burial, or will it only help to incite passions among Muslim zealots?
6 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoHow to increase 'power' in my Kung-fu?
I'm into kung-fu for the last one and a half years and my punches and kicks are still lacking in power. I practice 90 minutes, six days a week. I regularly do Shaolin Fist Form, Snake & Tiger. Isn't it enough for a beginner like me?
Could someone please suggest me some useful hints to better my kung-fu practice? Ah! yes, I'm a yellow belt...
7 AnswersMartial Arts1 decade agoIndian Muslims: Is it wrong/inappropriate to imitate the lifestyle/practices of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)?
The story goes thus:
A friend of mine who's 30 years of age is planning to marry a 35-year-old lady with whom he has been in love for the last three years. However, the parents of the boy are dead against the union only because of the difference in age. The father of the boy has some friends in the clergy who advised him against the union. But when my friend compared his act with that of the Prophet's marriage to Khadija, they all flared up and blasted my friend. Is this okay from the Islamic point of view? Can this 'comparison' be termed as sacrilege??
Also, doesn't Islamic law provide a sane and economically independent adult to choose his own life-partner??
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs it okay for me to indulge in illicit sex?
At 47, Ihave failed to locate a woman to settle down. My parents have also given up hope. They couldn't find me a suitable girl. Now, all these years I kept myself chaste, but to no avail. No girl/woman wishes to marry me (and for apparently no reason). I happen to be well-placed in life and am also good-looking with clean habits. I'm a teetotaller and pray five times a day (whenever I can). Now, with my marriage out of sight, I seem to be getting desperate.
So, should I indulge in illicit sex? After all, I am a "normal" man just like anybody else!!
6 AnswersRamadan1 decade agoHow to refuse gifts at my marriage?
I intend to tie the knot shortly.
I'm averse to the idea of receiving "material gifts"; instead, I want the invitees' blessings and good wishes...Hence, how do I politely refuse them at my wedding reception??

12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDo you think I'm still Muslim?
I started drinking almost 20 years back, I have never fasted even once during Ramadan in the last 8 years, I also have sex with my girlfriends, I have also taken a vow not to marry in my lifetime...
I offer only Eid prayers, and in my official documents I mention my religion as Islam. Hence, do you think I can be labeled as Muslim??
23 AnswersRamadan1 decade agoWill you please help me with my predicament?
My problem is that 4 (f-o-u-r) women love me to death! They all wanna marry me!
They have threatened to commit suicide if I do not consider their demand favourably.
Now my problem is that I'm a true believer of Islam and wish to adhere to the Quranic injunction which speaks about M-O-N-O-G-A-M-Y as the ideal form of marriage. But if I decide to follow the Holy Book then 4 (f-o-u-r) Muslimahs will commit sacrilege by ending up their lives. Hence, please save me from this predicament...
May Allah (swt) bless us all...
2 AnswersRamadan1 decade agoPlease help me, won't you?
I want to marry and settle down...but the society in which I live is "unIslamic" and won't permit me to have more than one wife. So, please suggest me ways to have more than one wife so that I can fulfill God Almighty's command here on earth.
I am fairly rich and can easily support 4 wives and more than a dozen children.
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoCan you please solve my problem?
I'm a bachelor boy and my problem is that two girls are s-i-m-u-l-t-a-n-e-o-u-s-l-y in love with me!
They both want me to marry them (both). But I'm against bigamy/polygamy and consider monogamy as the best form of marriage as has been "s u b t l y" espoused in the Holy Quran...
So, my humble question to you guys is how do I convince my 'girlfriends' that I can marry only one of them and not both as it goes against the "spirit" of Islam...
My 'girlfriends' threaten me that if I refuse to marry them both then they may consider APOSTASY as an option. They have promised me that they shall not complain and remain happy with me once we are married. Further, once I've married them BOTH, they both will transform themselves into perfect Muslimahs...
Please help me solve this predicament as smoothly as you can.....
