  • Leaving a puppy in a crate while I'm at work?

We just got an 8 week old golden retriever puppy yesterday. We spend every waking moment with her while we're at home, but we both work, and must keep her under control while we're not home. Right now, she's in a dog crate. We also keep her in the crate at night. We have a friend letting her out over the lunch hour for a half hour or so, but I'm still worried about how much time she's spending in the crate. Does anyone have any advice? Both my husband and I work more than 30 minutes away from our house, so going home every so often is not an option.

  • Reporting interest on tax return from series EE US savings bonds without a 1099?

In 2008, I cashed in series EE US savings bonds for a total of $188 in earned interest. I didn't receive a 1099-INT. How do I claim this on my tax return? I'm using TaxAct Online and it is asking for ID numbers on the 1099, which I don't have.

  • car making strange noise?

We just got 8 inches or so of snow/ice. My wheel wells are packed with snow and ice that I can't remove. My car makes a horrible noise when starting (it's only 2 years old with 34,000 miles on it) since yesterday, and makes a strange noise that seems to be coming from the wheels. It gets worse at times when I accelerate, but it will also happen when the car is idling. I have an oil change in three days and can have someone look at it, but what could be the problem?

  • post-bac teaching license?

I already have a 4 year undergrad degree, but want to consider a teaching career. I know you need to get a license, etc. The programs I've looked at only talk about 4 year programs. What are my options? I live in Southwest Ohio. I prefer a traditional program, as opposed to online classes.

  • first time charging my EnV2?

Are there specific instructions to maximize the performance for the Li-polymer battery that comes with the LG EnV2? There are no special instructions in the Verizon manual, but I want to make sure I maximize my battery life. I've read that you should fully charge your battery for the first time for 8 hours, and go through 3 full charge and depletion cycles so your battery "remembers" its capacity. Is this true for this type of battery??

  • inviting significant others to rehearsal dinner?

Our rehearsal dinner is already huge (circa 80 people). All wedding party members are allowed to bring their dates, and we're including all aunts and uncles (but no cousins). I have 4 friends that I wanted to include in the wedding (two to hand out programs and two to bring up the gifts (our service is a mass)).

My question is...do I have to include these four individuals in the rehearsal dinner....and if you think so, can I get away with just inviting them and not their significant others?

All are 24-25, one is recently married, and the others all have boyfriends. Only one is coming from out of town.

The numbers are already way out of control, and I really want to include them, but the thought of also having to invite their dates is too much....help!

  • My fiance didn't tell me our friends' engagement was broken off?

My fiance didn't tell me two of our friends were no longer getting married. He said he was told specifically not to tell me by one of this friends, as the information was "new" (a week or two old)

He's like a vault, and he honored his friend's request not to tell me, but I'm a little hurt that he still kept it from me.

I later found out because one of our mutual friends asked me what I thought about it, and I felt really stupid because I had no clue what he was talking about. It makes it look like we don't communicate!

I know you don't have to share absolutely everything in a relationship, but it brings up important issues about his judgement (when to make the call to communicate with me on certain things, and when to let it go) He was told not to tell, so he didn't, but what else does this mean he's keeping from me?

I feel like he'll always have that "bros over ho's" mentality...we're getting married soon...why can't keep me in the loop when it comes to important things?

  • Wedding registry question: what you want vs what you think guests can afford?

My fiance and I have been having an "argument," if you will...about our wedding registry. He thinks we should register for things we think the guests can afford, whereas I wanted to register for things that we want, not really factoring in what it costs. I don't have over the top taste, and I don't have the have the "Best of the best"...but what should we do? Do you need to take into consideration what you think people can afford, or should you just pick what you want?

  • engagement ring resizing question?

I just had my engagement ring resized, only now it's slightly thinner underneath (at the bottom) than it was before. the size of the band at the bottom is now smaller/thinner than it is toward the top of the diamond. I know you can't see this part while it's on...but is this normal? It's platinum and I paid $40 to have it brought down from a 6 to a 5

  • What leisurely activity do you participate in to help you live life to the fullest? (or an accomplishment?)?

I'm trying to think of activities that depict people out living their lives, enjoying themselves, or accomplishing major feats, etc. For example, reaching a mountain peak, or just simply hiking.

Any ideas? I would need to find a photo that could show these activities.
