She thinks the world revolves around her. She is a late- in -life -child and her father spoils her materialistically. I need a really good self-help book. I do not need advice. I have already raised two grown-up girls. This one is different-unappreciative and talented in both academics and sports.

I REALLY need a "teen" Bible to help me. Thanks.

Have read the book-did not take notes. Kids will be quizzed over this book along w/ 39 other books. Need questions like,"What color was the mouses' fur that gave them the map?" We know the general characters.. We (I) just need some help w/ facts that are repeated two or three times.( i.e. the direction they flew is not imporrtant.) The moon-dew? is important.

He would take the deck of 52 cards, let us shuffle/split and then tell a story about each card BEFORE he flipped it over. I.e. The Q of hearts was playing in her yard when the 9 of clubs walked in, followed by the 2 of diamonds. The 8 of spades got mad b/c he had to follow and told the King of Hearts to find the ace of clubs-....and Wow! They would come up in just the order he called. It ALWAYS varied. No established pattern that I remember.

Does anyone know this trick?

I am talking about children who understand the word, "No." In addition they have been given warnings about the consequences of their behaivor. My 12-year and I had a dispute about the type of bra she needed while shopping. I told her she was rude and acting like a brat. She threw the bra at me. I honest-to-God slapped her on her cheek. No probs since. We both apologized. Was I wrong?
