  • Can my eye doctor refuse to renew my old contacts prescription even if it's what I prefer?

I have been perfectly happy with -4.5 right and -4.75 left for years. After an exam, the doctor told me that I should be wearing -5.0 and -5.25. I tried the trial pair, and it's horrible! I see no benefit in distance vision, and now close-up vision is all blurry. Not just in reading, but in driving when I look from the road to the instrument cluster on the dash. I still have my old lenses, and I'm not having any of these difficulties, so how can they force this new prescription on me when it's not what I want?

  • Should it take this long to sync my mp3 player?

I just got an 8 gig Sansa Clip mp3 player. I opened Windows Media Player, clicked on Sync, and it says it's synchronizing. But it's been synchronizing for over 2 hours and shows no progress on the status bar. My library has about 800 songs. Is it really synchronizing? Is something wrong?

  • Why does my cat paw at his water dish?

Before drinking, my 11-month old DSH tabby will almost always dip his paw in the water and stir it around. He'll then lick his paw and either drink or just walk away. Also, he will physically move the water dish around the kitchen floor and seems to enjoy tipping the water out. Does anybody have a clue?
