The Athletes I know and talk to from America always go on about mile times?. Im Based in Australia and its all about the 1500m here, because its an Olympic event. I get that the mile is about prestige and all, but why care so much?

Just an Athlete curious to find out other athletes resting heart rates. beats per minute, for people who do not understand.

Mine currently sits at 43 beats per minute.

I like the feeling after having a nightmare, and I'm a firm believer that nightmares help solve problems in reality. Anybody know of anyways (other than watching scary movies) to give yourself one?

I am taking the Alpha Course (The Alpha course is a course which seeks to explore the basics of the Christian faith, described as "an opportunity to explore the meaning of life"). I am Atheist, Read the bible numerous times, just thought i would put it out there.. Has anyone else taken the Alpha course?. I am just taking to find out more and learn what i didn't know.

Basically, i am always friend zoned by girls. I get to know them, basically be there for them all the time. Then they always say "i wish i could find a great guy like you". i tell them i like them and they act surprised and tell me nothing will ever happen.

Im not ugly before you ask that. Im Athletic (top notch).

Jesus said rich men don’t go to Heaven easily and even implied that it wasn’t possible. Why are so many people with money and property Christian if they are probably going to Hell?

Matthew 5:17-18 says quite clearly that Jesus demands Christians follow Old Testament law completely, to the smallest possible point. Why don’t they?

The modern Christian churches of the world tend to gloss the fact that God is a child killer—the 10th plague in Egypt—and say that Jesus set this right. Ignoring for a moment that the crucifixion is just one more child killing to fulfill God’s will, why does Jesus say he also will kill children in Revelation 2:23?
