Needing some encouragement...?
DH and I have been TTC for 2 years (not preventing, rather). I just finished my 4th cycle of clomid. Months 1&2 I was on 50mg day3-7, month 3&4 100mg day 3-7. Yesterday was day 13. I went in for an ultrasound, which showed I have two follicles, 1.0 and 1.2. Dr. wants me to come in again tomorrow (thurs) to see if they've grown. I had postive OPK on day 12 last month, but no positive so far this month, and obviously no pregnancy last month. Dr. says she wants the follicle to be at least 2.2cm for IUI. I'm wondering if any of you have had a similar experience. I've done pretty decent keeping my anxiety to a minimum, but now I'm starting to lose it! Hysterosalpingogram and hormone tests have all been great. DH semen analysis was great too! Any advice/encouragement would be helpful. Maybe you have an experience to share? I just want to know these brutal hot flashes (thanks to clomid) aren't for nothing! Desperately wishing and praying for BFP!!
2 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoYet another Clomid question...?
The first month I was on Clomid I didn't know I had to take it at the same time. The second month I took it at the same time 4 out of 5 days (I was an hour late on the 5th day). This month, I've been trying to take it a 1:00pm. The first dose was at 1:00, the second I took at 12:00 (misread the analog clock in a hurry and thought it was 1:00), but today (3rd dose, day 5), I didn't remember to take it until 3pm. I'm concerned these fluctuations in times could affect the effectiveness of the drug. Are these times still close enough to do the job? Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.
4 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoHelp please. Possible Clomid Side Effects?
Unfortunately, neither my doctor nor pharmacist gave me much info on the clomid I began taking last month. I took clomid day 3-7 (December 23-27). Lately I've been troubled with fatigue. I didn't think much of it until yesterday when I started having spells of lightheadedness. Just bending over to grab something and standing back up caused me to see the little glitter specs, "stars". I also noticed yesterday at the gym, my stamina/endurance wasn't as well as normal. I barely made it through my work out. I felt exhausted! Today, I was hit with the worst yet. One minute I was fine, the next minute I was sweating, dizzy, and shaking uncontrollably. I ate breakfast, so I didn't think it was low blood sugar (which is not common for me anyway), but my boss made me drink a soda just in case. I took a HPT this morning (5 days before AF), just in case, but it was negative. Of course my Dr's office is closed, and the pharmacist was no help. I'm wondering could this be some late side effects to the Clomid I took almost a month ago. I didn't hardly have any changes when was taking the medicine, but I know that may not mean much. Does anyone have any idea what may be going on?
3 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoAnybody that has gotten pregnant that has prob. with adhesions?
I know I have adhesions that are hindering my left fallopian tube. My doctor said my uterus is tilted in that direction, but she's not worried about it. I understand TTC can be a lengthy process, but my question is to anyone who has adhesions and has conceived. I would like some info. maybe on if you had to have the adhesions removed to give a window of opportunity before they regrow, etc. I know a good bit about adhesions but I would like to hear some experiences or suggestions from those who have endured this aggravating condition. Thanks for anything you can give!
1 AnswerTrying to Conceive1 decade agoYour opinion on home financing options?
My husband and I are finally looking to buy our first house. We have already gotten pre-qualified through the bank, we are just trying to make the right decision on how we want to do the financing. We have enough to put down 5% plus closing cost and then borrow 95% of the purchase price...or...his father has suggested he lend us the difference so we could put down 20% and eliminate PMI. Either way the payments wouldn't be that much different (considering we would pay him each month). My only problem is I don't like to borrow money from family. It makes me nervous. So I would like your opinion on whether we should take his father's offer (with contract of course).
3 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoBBT charting question?
I just started taking my bbt in the mornings (beginning the 1st day of my period). I'm confused because my temps are very different. For example my first was 97.42 the next 97.82 and the next was 98.34. How in the world do I detect a spike when they are all so different? I usually put the thermometer in my mouth as I walk to the bathroom in the morning. Is it best to stay in bed until you get the reading? Thanks for your help!
8 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoPlease Help: Job Decision?
I know there's no magic wand that can mystfully give me the perfect answer, but maybe you can think of something I haven't while job comparing. Sorry I don't have enough room to give full background. Let me know if I need to add more info. I hope this is enough:
Current job offers promotion-- Respectable enforcement position, uses a level of my college education, low-medium pay, 1-2hours driving/day(drive time included in usual 8 work hours), some work from home, not very much room to move up, state job=great benefits, luxury of making own schedule and high job security. I've been with the state for over 2 years now
Other opportunity: Management position, more active, will use higher level of education, large possibility of "climbing the ladder", great pay + bonuses, minimal benefits, good job security, more demanding, less chance of becoming monotonous, and more responsibility.
These are the factors I'm using in my desicion. Please let me know if you have anything el
7 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoShould I accept invitation to be a bridesmaid?
My long time best friend (and maid-of-honor in my wedding) and I recently went through a slight rift. I tried to contact her to make ammends, but she never responded. I heard about her engagement through a fourth party. I called and left her congratulation on her voice mail. Minutes later she left me a voice mail pretending not to know about the one I left and informed me of the event saying "I saw your number on my phone and wanted to let you know". Anyway, she stated she wanted me in the wedding, yet I have still not talked to her in 3 months. Our problem is still unresolved and she is still not returning my call. Should I just politely decline the invitation?
13 AnswersWeddings1 decade agoStarting a clothing boutique? Advice or Info??
I want to start a clothing boutique for junior misses. I am 100% sure this niche will work in my town, because the city has been trying to get similar stores (from out of town) to open in our town. I want to do some research on costs and all, but I'm not sure about things like ordering hangers, mannequins or even clothes. Also, my friend owns a similar boutique out of town and has already stated she didn't have time to open a second. Would I be betraying her if I do? Should I ask for her help? I def. don't want a partner because of potential for friendship disaster. Anything helps. Thanks
4 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoAnoybody know about the KIA Sportage?
My husband is looking at a KIA sportage (95 model) to commute to work. I was hoping someone knows something about their dependability. I've heard some bad things about them, but I don't know if they're true. They're supposedly cheap cars, but I want to know if it's going to leave him on the side of the road. It checks out with the mechanic, but that could change. Please, let me know anything you know. Thanks!!
3 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation1 decade agoHelp! My hair looks worse after getting it cut!?
My hair had some dead and split ends, so I got a couple of inches taken off and had layers put in. The ends look much better but my hair seems much more coarse. I've maintained layers in the past (never cut with a razor), but I've never had this problem. It was smooth and healthy-looking before, but now it is wiry and won't curl well. What's going on? Is it because she used the thinning shears?? How do I fix it?
