Why is writing ‘20 April’ standardised in public writing when ‘20th April’ is more logical to aid the flow of reading?
Does ‘20 April’ not jar when you're reading a sentence because it literally says 'Twenty April'?

All my files are still there, but they have all collected together under the main folder level. The sub-folders in which the files were originally located have disappeared. I just added an "!" to the original name of the main folder and it had this effect.
