Without Radicalism, Isn't Islam a More Rational Religion Than Christianity?
Advantages of Islam.
1. Better concept of monotheism--none of the Trinity nonsense.
2. Promotes equality of races: Prophet Muhammad said, "All mankind is from Adam and Eve; an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white man has no superiority over the black man, nor does a black man has any superiority over a white man, except by virtue of piety and good conduct."
3. Merit in religion. Good deeds do matter!
4. Promotes clean living and discipline. Christianity allows everything and offers salvation at the end regardless of one's lifestyle. Muslims in general are the most monogamous, drug-free, and STD-free people on earth.

15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoDid Muslims Learn Religious Hostility from Christians?
These days I am reading a book by C.H. Becker, "Christianity and Islam," which is available on Kindle for free. It is written from a Christian perspective and has many things with which Muslims will strongly disagree with; however it says that in the first few centuries of Islam, Muslims were mostly indifferent towards Christians and Jews and allowed them to practice their faith freely. They collected taxes from them, but let the bishops run a state with a state. But over time, Christians in the West showed great hostility towards Islam and started the Crusades. Even then, Muslims allowed local Christians to rise to high political offices within their territories, which some Muslims didn't like. But as people converted to Islam, some of that animosity seeped into Islam, and Western imperialism has created an ongoing hostility between Islam and Christianity. Your thoughts?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoASSUMING there is a God, What's Wrong With The Concept of Hell?
In this world, we think it's perfectly fine to punish people for their crimes; we wage wars against our enemies, and through bombings burn them alive or blow them up to smithereens. Where does it say that God is meek and weak and cannot punish?
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhat do you think of this religious/spiritual poem?
I was going through my old hard drive and found this poem that I had written many years ago. You will need to read it slowly to understand :-)
Words, with mere words, I seek my Lords favor
I die for my own sins, I do not have a Savior
When life keeps searching for another life
It’s just an evaporating pond, not a river
The path is narrow and light’s flickering dim
I’ve begun to understand the plot of the film
My old regrets are catching up with me
And only pause at hopes that are tied to a hymn
Fate has laughed at me many times before
I am forgetful and often leave open the door
Robbers and creditors have left nothing for me
Those who lay claim to my heart ask for more
I have files and files of unfinished pages
Un-built projects, cut-short awakened reveries
A restful eternity is needed for life to bring
A happy ending to its self-fulfilled prophecies
Cages fall and sometimes birds do fly away
Enjoy freedom for a while then become a prey
Why demons must hang outside each door
Why angels of mercy depart for a better day
The reality I see clearly can never be shared
Inner mechanics of dreams can’t be explained
Infinite pinpricks in the fabric of the universe
Create doubt and doubters cannot be blamed
Few rise above their prejudice and deep fears
Nationalism was created for people to steer
They seek lilies in the hands of their enemies
While in their eagle claw they hold the spears
I reject them all, their untenable philosophies
I seek my own peace, not victory for ideologies
If the world leaves me alone, I will find God
To surrender my being to His love and mercy
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoCan the problem of terrorism be solved without dealing with REAL issues?
THE REASON THAT TERRORISM PROBLEM DOESN'T GO AWAY is because the US government doesn't want to deal with the core issue of US military presence in the Middle East and now Central Asia, drone attacks, and occupation. They are trying to obfuscate, blaming religious extremism instead, which can put some Muslims on defensive but it's very unhelpful. Unless the government, the media and people, by and large, give up this trickery and get to the political issues that need to be resolved, this problem would continue to haunt us.
4 AnswersPolitics8 years agoWhen would US media admit that terrorists are driven by revenge and not religion?
FROM KHAKLID SHEIKH MUHAMMAD, THE 9-11 MASTER MIND, TO THIS BOY, terrorist after terrorist has stated that his motive was US wars of occupation, US military presence in the Middle East, and drone attacks, but US politicians, the media, Conservatives and Jewish lobbies keep insisting that it was religion and religion alone. They hide the REAL motive, thinking that it would somehow hurt the cause of terrorists, but frankly speaking, the terrorists can't care less what propaganda tricks Americans are using for their domestic audience. The solution has to be to address the CORE political issues and solve them. And solution is simple: The US needs to pull its military out of the Middle East and promote more trade between the US and the Middle East and Central Asia. As long as the US military is there, there would be instability, resentment and terrorism.
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWould people in this country ever admit that the motive for terrorists is US foreign policy and not Quran?
Terrorist after terrorist has said that his motive was US foreign policy, which has led to the killings of hundreds of thousands of innocent people in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. But the US media and Conservatives in particular do their best to obfuscate and censor this link and instead tie these terrorists to their professed belief in Islam. The younger brother has said that his motive was wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, but Fox never once mentioned it! Instead Hannity keeps crying about "Radical Islam" as being the cause. They did the same thing with Feisal Shehzad who said in the courtroom that he wanted to avenge US drone attacks on his native Pakistan, but the media [I guess they were told] to just focus on one statement that he's a "soldier of Islam." It's a trick, a wicked trick, to put Muslims on the defensive and to malign Islam.
13 AnswersRamadan8 years agoWhy Unitarianism Changed in the Last Hundred Years?
I am reading some books on Unitarianism which were written in the early part of the last century, and it seems that Unitarianism has underwent a big transformation. The early Unitarians believed that Jesus was a "son of God" but different from other human beings only is "degrees," not in essence and clearly not God or literal Son of God. The Unitarian Church now it seems allow just about everybody, even atheists, and is hardly "Unitarian." So what brought this change?
1 AnswerReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhy for atheists, man-made laws (no matter how bad) are more acceptable than divine laws (which may be good)?
Can an atheist say, I don't beleive in God, but I like this religious rule?
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoCould There Be Separate Heavens for People of Different Religions?
In other words, the afterlife based on one's beliefs on earth. Christians can go to their own heaven, and walk behind Jesus all day long. Muslims can enjoy heavenly pleasures. Hindus will just become better human beings, and Jews will have the entire heaven as Israel. Atheists---well, they would remain suspended in darkness and nothingness (as some NDEs seem to suggest) since they didn't believe at all.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoAre You an Activist or a Propagandist?
An activist promotes his/her cause.
A propagandist is mostly belittling other ideologies without identifying or defending one's own.
