What Mp3 Player Should I Buy?
I live in Australia and I'd like an Mp3 player with:
Excellent sound quality (with good, included headphones)
Quite good battery life (at least a day)
8 or 16 GB of memory
Easy, copy/past transfer with no extra software required
USB connection
I'd also like to be able to make quick playlists on the player itself without having to go through my computer, though it's not a deal breaker.
I don't care even a little bit about: Video, photo viewing etc... I just want it to play music, very well.
Cheaper is obviously better! But i'm willing to pay up to $200 AUD...
Any ideas?
Cheers!
1 AnswerMusic & Music Players1 decade agoReluctantly ending a relationship, how to minimize the hurt?
I entered into a casual relationship with a man about 3 months ago. In the last month we have become more than 'friends with benefits', and the relationship has definitely become more than casual. I have very strong feelings for him, and he has told me he is falling in love.
I have to leave the state in a week, in a month i will be leaving the country and i won't be returning for nearly a year. Both of us agree that the relationship has to end, there are also complicated problems with an ex of mine which was part of the reason for keeping the relationship casual to begin with.
I'm worried about him and how he will cope once i am gone. He is quite a sensitive guy and will be basically alone once i'm gone (we live in university accomodation, he will be staying over the break when most other people have left).
I'm wondering what i should do once i leave. We've said we'll still talk and so on, but should i contact him? Often? Should i wait for him to contact me? Should i tell him i miss him or would just make things worse?
... How can i, as much as possible, stop this from hurting him?
5 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoWhat kind of hair cut should i get?
I'm going to get my hair cut in a couple of days and i'd like a new style. At the moment my hair is quite long (well past my shoulders) with layers and i usually keep it parted on the side. I think i'd like it shorter - perhaps just below or at shoulder level... Any ideas for cuts?
I have a round face, pale skin, blue/grey eyes with light auburn or strawberry blonde hair. I have a low forehead (so i don't think a fringe would look good, as much as i'd like one).
3 AnswersHair1 decade agoCan i kiss the boy? (Glandular fever/mono question)?
I've read that glandular fever (or mono) is most contagious in the weeks before you start displaying symptoms. Given that, should i abstain from kissing the boyfriend even now that i have recovered from all symptoms except the tiredness? Or, since i was kissing him before i showed symptoms anyway, is that pointless?
He's making the argument that if he was going to get it, he would have got it by now - and given that half of kids get it before they're 5 and 90% of adults have had it (at least 50% without realising it) he's probably immune to it anyway... What do you think?

How is a casual relationship between a male libran and a female aquarius likely to play out? Anything either of the partners should look out for keeping in mind that the relationship is romantic, but strictly casual?
2 AnswersHoroscopes1 decade agoHow do you deal with awkward sexual situations?
If you're with a new guy and the first few times you've tried to have sex he loses his erection or can't finish... How should you deal with that? How do you make him not feel awful, and the situation as not-awkward as possible? And should you try to turn him on again? Or just leave it be... Is there anything that can be done?
4 AnswersMen's Health1 decade agoBorderline vs. bipolar disorders
What are the characteristics of borderline/bipolar disorders? How are they similar what makes them different... I've been to two different psychiatrists - one suggested that i may be borderline - one said bipolar.
I've been doing a bunch of research on the net but i was hoping for some people with these disorders or for people who know people with these disorders to give me some personal perspectives...
Thanks.
1 AnswerMental Health1 decade agoSong name!?
What is the name of that song people have been talking about on LGBT forums lately... It's sung by a female and the title is something like "kiss the girl" - but i don't think that's it (that's from the little mermaid.... :P). I'd like to look it up on youtube.
5 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoAquarius/Taurus Compatability?
I am an Aquarius (female) and have been dating a Taurus for the last 5 years. I've read a lot of things saying that we're not supposed to be at all compatible and i'll agree that we're very different in some not-so-complimentary ways, but we love each other none the less. I guess the issue that most concerns our relationship is my being and wanting to be very independent. Can someone explain to me why we aren't supposed to be compatible and why my boyfriend and i might buck the trend?
I'm a very typical Aquarius i think, though he doesn't seem to be a very typical Taurus (I was born Feb 7th '87 and he was born May 3rd '86, if that helps at all).
5 AnswersHoroscopes1 decade agoLetting the cat out of the bag.?
[cue geeky schrodingers cat joke]
I've been doing a lot of thinking about sexuality and gender lately, and i've come to many a realisation about myself, my sexuality and my gender identity.
I am anatomically female and I present myself as female and straight - which i have never been comfortable with, i've always known isn't really right, isn't really 'me'. I suppose i am androgynous, though i've yet to really figure out what that means to me - how it changes the way that i live (and i really do want to change in some ways), and i am bisexual.
I wonder if it is really necessary for me to *tell* people about it? I think i would be happier just living how i like and answering questions if they're asked. I don't feel like it's any great *change* any great *moment* that needs to be expressed to my family and friends. What do you think? Is telling people an integral part of accepting your own identity?

1 AnswerOther - Science1 decade agoShould i go home?
My boyfriend of 5.5 years has just been diagnosed with crohn's disease. He is very, very sick at the moment although his prognosis is o (basically he's going to be really sick for the next couple of weeks but after that he should get much better).
We are living on opposite sides of the country at the moment, due to study and work requirements and neither of us (particularly me) has much money. I was going to go back home if he required surgery - it looks like he doesn't, at least not until they've seen how he responds to the medication. He doesn't really want to talk to me over the phone at the moment, a combination of lack of energy and shame i guess... Should i go home?
3 AnswersOther - Diseases1 decade agoCrohns disease?
Anyone here have it? Can anyone tell me anything about it? And the consequences of delaying treatment for it? My boyfriend may have it, he has just been admitted to hospital after being very very sick for nearly a month. I'm on the other side of the country and... kinda... well yeah, anything you can tell me would be great.
2 AnswersOther - Diseases1 decade agoSerious health problem, what are the doctors thinking?
I know it's silly to ask for expert advice in here... but here i am doing it anyway.
My boyfriend has just been taken to hospital, he has had very bad diarrhea for the last three weeks and has been vomiting. As a result he has barely eaten in that time, according to his mum he has lost about 5 kilos and he was very skinny to begin with. He is obviously badly dehydrated. (this has been going on for so long because he has been working out on a mine pretty much by himself, he wouldn't even go to a doctor until i said i wouldnt' talk to him until he did) He has also been passing blood and has apparently lost alot. They are planning on doing a colonoscopy, and he has signed forms that will allow them to take a biopsy if necessary and do a blood transfusion.
I was wondering if anyone had any insight into what could be wrong, or what the doctors might be thinking is wrong.
I'm on the opposite side of the country to him and i am very worried.
Thanks in advance for your answers.

8 AnswersTrivia1 decade agoNavel piercing...?
I had a navel piercing done (for the 2nd time) 3.5 weeks ago and it appears to be healing quite well but i think that the jewelry may be too big for my navel - it is being turned sideways - so i guess it is healing in ( that shape rather than straight. I have another, smaller piece of jewelry that was used the first time i was pierced that i did not have this problem with. Would it be wise to change to that piece of jewelry even though changing it will probably break the healing? Or should i leave it for a couple of more weeks?
