I have an HP dv1000 purchased way back in 2004 so needless to say it's a little slow compared to even the cheap ones these days. It still works fairly well except that it overheats when trying to do certain tasks. Mainly when I have my iPad or iPhone plugged in trying to sync them, and I have to hang the vent side off the edge of my desk or it will overheat.. From the specs I have seen it says it has 512mb ram upgradable to 2.0Gb (I don't necessarily need more than 2gb). Also has 80GB hard drive which I would like more I just don't know if that part is upgradable.

So my question is would it be cheaper to buy a new laptop, probably an HP dv6 or dv7, or to upgrade & install new ram and hard drive into my old one?

Ok here me out, is it possible for a resident of the city to either purchase or rent for a short time a stretch of road/street.

It is not like main st or anything, it is a 3 mile section of road that goes out into a penninsula & dead ends in to water. However, the area of land surronding it does have lake house that people live in.

I know if it's true it would cost a whole bunch I just want to know if I can pursue a dream of mine if it's possible to do something like this.

Additional:

I wouldnt destroy the road or do any construction. It just had a lot of corners & I want to block it off at night times so me and friends can race our cars down them. Current speed limit is 35 mph which is BS, and corners make it hard to see oncoming traffic. I would do it illegally, but don't want to injure another motorist.

What do you guys think of the trade scenario I have. I'm a mavs fan so the whole point behind this was for my mavs to get in the action of the Carmelo deals going around. This way lakers give up what the rumors are, but are able to unload artest (even though I really don't want him). Nuggets get expiring contracts & young guard for future. Lakers get the coveted Anthony

Just a debate we started at work, but in your opinion what's the best/easiest job for a sports athlete. Meaning which position on a team would you rather be. Example backup catcher, NBA bench player. Basically making a good amount of money to do nothing.

Plz help. I have one of those iPods, and My friend said he jailbreaked his by going to some site called jailbreakme.com. Well I went to that site, and nothing happens it just sits there. Does anyone know what's wrong. I have a windows vista computer, and was using the Internet explorer when I went to the site if that helps.

For those that like to read the reviews of a movie before going to see it, whose opinion do you trust or follow the most the professional critics that review it or the users [everyday people]?

I have an old muscle car that is in desperate need of a new engine. Since i am not equipped tool wise to do the labor my self how much should i expect to pay in labor for a shop to drop in a new one for me?

Just an estimate will do, i am really just trying to get an idea of what engines i can afford while leaving room for all the misc cost i am sure to pay.

My ultimate goal is to take a 93-98 supra and put an LSX motor in it.

Ive seen a 4.7L lexus motor in one, but was wanting to know if an LSX motor will fit? (5.7L)

This is going to sound very narcissistic, but bare with me. After losing lots of weight from unrelated surgery, and maintaining a somewhat active lifesyte (working out 3-4/wk). Im down to 6% body fat, but can not for the life of me get a four pack (let alone a 6 pack). You can see them when i suck in and tighten, but normally it looks like im have a gut. Advice?

Currently at a perfect weight, and trying not to gain it back. Trying to get an outside look into if my eating habits are ok.

1) Have cut out all sodas/ drinks with calories, but have been drinking a couple different options that have zero calories, sugar, and carbs. Im concerned though because they have about 35-75 mg sodium per can (12 cans/day min). How concerned should i be with getting too much sodium?

2) snack: 3-5 apples, bananas a day. I always thought fruit was good for you, but i looked up the facts for them one day and say they contain quite a bit of carbs and sugar. After reading this i feel like im getting to much sugar and carbs should i be concerned?

3) Is shrimp at good choice for meat along with the chicken and turkey?

the commercial was with three guys who everytime they found a winning piece to their monopoly puzzle would get up and breakdance, and the black guy was wearing this particular shirt with some reeboks.

please give me your input i need to know !!!!!!!!!
