  • Boss criticises me in front of customers.?

My Boss, who owns the business, sometimes criticises or belitlles me in front of customers. She will ask me to do something and then say I am doing it the wrong way, or sigh in an exagerated fashion and roll her eyes and make an unkind remark. Customers and colleagues have noticed this on several occasions, and commented sympathetically to me later. I generally ignore her because she is notoriously moody. I don't know how to re-act other than ignoring her. Sometimes matters arise over which I have more specialist knowledge than her , but because she always dismisses any advice I offer I have learnt to stay quiet. Serious advice welcomed.

  • I expected my s/h car to have a spare tyre...?

It came from a well-established garage, is 3 yrs old, low mileage.Years MOT plus 6 months warranty. I did not specifically ask about a spare, just presumed it would have one. Salesman pointed out the compartment but did not open it. It would cost me around £150 to get one. Should I be entitled to one? Only collected it yesterday so have not been able to contact the garage.Advice please!

  • advice on lurcher collars?

Just a note about the wide collars that lurchers should wear. There are several reasons for this.If adjusted correctly, they won't slip over the dogs head like a narrow collar. More importantly,If the dog pulls, they won't damage its windpipe. Lurchers have very little flesh on them and are often very sensitive to what might appear to be minor incidents.

A third reason, discovered when my dog was the victim of an unprovoked attack - they offer excellent protection. The wide and thick leather collar was pierced in 3 or 4 places by the attacking dog. It went for the kill, and I have no doubt that although the attack only lasted seconds, had my dog not had the collar on she might have been far more seriously injured. So do think seriously before purchasing a collar for your lurcher.

  • Types of dog coat to avoid dog becoming scurfy?

I have a whippet x rescue, aged around 10. She has a thick undercoat, but feels the cold and wears a coat through the winter. The thickness of this varies according to where she is, and on the occasions when the house is warm she wont have one on. Also when running around outside. By the end of winter she is very scurfy.(brush her around once twice weekly) and dusty looking. What type of lining for a coat would help avoid this?

  • Is it normal for a noise to come from propane gas (orange cylinders)?

It screams a high pitched whine when my neighbour is cooking. She says it's fine, but they have only lived there a month, and not used this method of cooking before. I think it is just a hob. It is a very penetrating noise. I worry about the safety aspect.
