We live in China and our window in the bedroom is poorly isolated and only 1 window. As it is a bit cold now we have our heater on. In the morning there is a lot of condensation on the windows which I usually clean up. The wood panel below the Window is starting to show some mold on small parts of the frame at the bottom of the window. Now, is there a way to clean the whole thing up and maybe use impregatnion spray to prevent it from happening again ? Our Landlord is very slow at getting things done and I am moving out in a few months so I don't want to do a major operation by myself and change all the wood at the bottom of the sealing as it starts to get a bit rotten in a small part. Or is there no way around it ?

I heard you can use toothpaste but then I'd like to hear if that is true or if there are some other options before I scratch my faithful Swatch.
