  • How do you adjust hinges so a door won't open/close on its own?

Several of the doors on the inside of my house like to open/close themselves, or even sit in between open and closed. It got worse after I used some WD-40 on some of the squeaking hinges. (The doors to some of the kid's rooms squeaked so bad, we could wake them up just trying to check on them.)

I'd like to know what the trick is to adjust the hinges on a door to keep it from closing on its own, or opening on its own, or even sitting half-way opened.

    Thanks in advance for answers!

  • What to do with a toddler that wakes up multiple times a night?

My daughter is 20 months old, and since she's turned over 1yr old, she's had a habit of waking up 2-3 times a night, and playing quietly in her bed for a half hour or more. She is often awake in the morning when we come to get her ready for daycare, and you can see she's been up for a while.

She has been a "1 nap a day" girl for over 6 months, but lately she's really burning out around 5PM every day. Bedtime is between 7 and 7:30 each night, so having her take another nape whens he gets home would just push her to stay awake even later.

Has anyone else had their toddler do this, and what steps did you take to get him/her to sleep better at night. I don't want to be that parent that gives Benadryl every night! We've played with her to the point that she can't even walk anymore, she's so tired.

    Advice is appreciated!
