I work on commission and don't always get paid.....Legal?
I work as a mechanic in VIRGINIA. I have no say in my employers business/marketing plan.
Quite often we are given a job for which our company would normally charge $"X" out of which I would get "Y" % of labor. They send out coupons and other items which lessens or more likely eliminates the amount they charge the customer for LABOR which is what I get a cut of. Therefore I do work they assigned me to do for which I would "normally" expect to make my "cut" and then they decide to not charge the customer labor (they still charge for parts...though possibly at a discount of normal) which means I did the work for $0.00 when I would reasonably have expected to make $"Z".
I realize this may "sound" wrong, but my question is regardless of how bad this practice sounds - is it legal in VIRGINIA?
Thanks to all in advance.
4 AnswersLaw & Legal1 decade agoCan I withdrawal contributions to Roth IRA w/o penalty or any other tax etc.?
I would like to withdrawal a portion of the contributions to my Roth IRA.
No special reason other than the economy stinks and I can use the cash. In one sentence the IRS seems to say you can withdrawal from Roth no problem and in the next say it has to be for a small list of reasons or your taxed/penalized.
My belief is that I can pull out the contributions BUT not the earnings FROM the contributions.
Is this correct?????
Thanks for your time.

How much to wire to code a 78'X87' warehouse in Northern Va.?
I also need 2 walls built. One 20foot wall, turn 90 degrees, build another 20 foot wall (drywall on both sides-in and out)
Install wiring in that "office", lights, outlets, and put in a 8 foot drop ceiling.
There is glass on one side and a cinderblock wall on the other is why I only need 2 walls. It's also about 70 feet from the "office" to the breaker box.
Anyone have any clue as to the cost of such improvements to a new warehouse would cost. Not looking for an exact quote, just something not 30,000 off.
1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoAuto repair in, AND how many homes in South Riding Va?
I am looking to open an auto repair shop on Pleasant valley Rd. just near the new Moore Cadillac.
Two questions: Anybody living in South Riding, northern Centreville or western Chantilly feel as though South Riding would be a feasible (BUSY) (work your tail off) area? Or do you feel the area INCLUDING South Riding is already saturated?
And secondly do you know approximately how many (total) homes, townhouses, condos, apartments, etc. (separate living spaces) that are presently in South Riding?
Thanks in advance to anyone with the kindness or knowledge to help, I hate to bankrupt myself if no one would come.
P.S. I have been at this for 25 years and have a number of equally qualified techs looking to go there if we open it. Pricing would be extremely reasonable with free pickup and delivery to South Riding, along with a customer shuttle and all the customer service items you could think of. Would this make a difference to anyone on the fence regarding usage of our facility?
1 AnswerWashington, D.C.1 decade agoHow much does it cost to get your yard mowed in Northern Va.?
How much does it cost to get your yard mowed in Northern Va.?
By a professional service, not the local kid. Approximately 1/4 acre. Average difficulty to mow, small obstacles - nothing major.
I would prefer answers with knowledge of the "local" market, either homeowners or lawn services owner.
Does $30.00 seem reasonable? Or is $30.00 high or low?
Thanks for your time, I'm sure you'll help me see the light on mowing prices.

1 AnswerGarden & Landscape1 decade agoI hate vegetables, and my health suffers. Any substitutions?
First this is my wifes account. I'm male.
I despise just about any food that is good for you. Good ole steak and potatoe kinda guy. I don't like fruit or vegetables, fish, etc.
If I try to eat them and can choke them down they usually cause me indigestion whereas protein based foods calm my stomach.
Other than a vitamin does anyone have a suggestion? I saw another user asked 2 months back about doing away with smell and taste. I recently saw a drug company with a new drug for just that purpose but we're probably 3 years away on that front.
How can I get the benefit of eating well w/o actually eating well. I understand that is one stupid question but 99.9% of people don't understand what it's like to be physically unable to stand the taste of a tomatoe so that one could choke it down.
If I could actually get the food down I'd just do it and all would be better. But....... I can't force feed myself 3 meals a day.
My Grandfather also had similar taste.
Thanks, Al
