I'm the "adopted by love" mother of a teen who worked for McDonald's until she had to take leave after she worked six hours without a break and started contractions every three minutes until she finally had her baby three weeks later (she was dehydrated and that caused the contractions).

She gave the baby up for adoption since she wants a better life for her baby than she could give her and two weeks later she was ready to go back to work. The manager at McDonald's said she won't put her back on the schedule for six weeks. My daughter asked for it in writing and the manager then said she had to have a release letter from her doctor.

I know the employer can't keep her from work...can they legally require her to have a doctor's release note? She would have to go to the doctor for a note and the doctor is out of town this week.

The young lady isn't really my daughter but is now part of my family... I just want to help her. She has tried finding a job elsewhere but nobody seems to be hiring.

My house was built in 1979, and the poured marble sink is in very bad shape. I bought a used sink to replace it and started cutting the sink out and am in a BIG MESS! I used 4 blades on a jig-saw and don't know how else to do this. The tools I have are a jig-saw, a Drimel, and an electric drill. I am on a budget. Thanks!

I've been researching the difference between the different churches, and am very drawn to the beliefs of the Lutheran church. What confuses me is that there are different groups in the Lutheran church: Lutheran Church in America, Missouri Synod, Wisconsin Syond. There may be others, but this is what I've seen. Please help me clarify why there are differences and what they are. I can't figure it out.

I'm in my early 30's, and recently found a lump in my breast. I went to the doctor, and she immediately ordered a mammogram. After the mammogram, the radiologist sent me to a sonogram. He came to visit me after the technician took pics to him and said he was recommending an MRI and biopsy. The lump is pretty large. Maybe one inch in diameter and 3 inches long. It is definately not a cyst, and it isn't breast tissue. The MRI isn't until next week, and the biopsy not scheduled for 2 weeks. (I'm to take all the films from all the previous tests to each new test)

I guess my question is if I should start getting things in order at work in case I have to be gone for surgery or treatment, or just start to worry after I hear from the specialists.
