Say a person lived all their life in the hottest part (livable) of Africa then had to move to the coldest part (livable) of Alaska.

How long would it take that person to adapt? Is it even possible to adapt?

I am trying to save an excel file to a blank CD I borrowed from a coworker. It's a memorex CD-R. When I try to access the D drive, I get an error message that says:

"Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with Windows."

What should I do?

Wow, I watched this movie on cable the other day and got freaked out. It didn’t look like the survivors on the boat made it because one of the video shots showed that the gas tank was empty when they made it to the island… with zombies waiting for them.

I’m just curious… Do you think this is the way things would turn out if this actually happened? Or do you think we’re advanced enough that the world would have a better outcome?
