We have a 55 gallon aquarium with a Jack Dempsey in it. He is almost 2 years old, about 5" in length. For about the last 2 months or so, he has been very lethargic. I noticed some of his fins look like he's been in a battle. We do have 2 other fish in there, but they have never had a problem getting along before, so I doubt he's been getting attacked. So for the last month or so, he has been showing some really icky colors - pale white, and splotchy. Almost like he has fish "mange." His fins look terrible, and he's starting to hover vertically in the tank. When he gets food, he will eat, and become lively for a little bit, but he just goes right back to his other problem. The other fish also have a little of the spotching, but not nearly as bad as the dempsey. I'd say 20-40% of his body lacks color. Maybe 1-2% of the other fish does. I've tried putting aquarium salt in there, as well as "quick-cure" and neither makes a difference. I normally add aquarium salt once a week anyhow, as a "tonic" for the fish. Please help, I dont wanna lose this guy!!

I'm trying to burn a CD and it keeps telling me "Please use a CD with enough memory for your data." I have 80 minute CD's, that are 100% completely brand new and blank. I get this message a lot, and usually I just have to keep rotating CD's until 1 works. Now it won't work at all. What gives??

Why? Why for the last 4 years, around memorial day, we continue to be OK with gas prices rising up $1 per year! At 9/11 gas went up over $2 a gallon and for the most part, stayed at $2.12 for the longest time. Now, last year it hit $3. Now it's approaching $4. How long will this go on?? When will it stop????

p.s. The dealerships are not an option. They cannot locate the parts, but I know they exist. Ebay has a very limited supply, as well as craigslist.

I'm considering getting an iphone, and someone told me you cant send or receive photos from your phone or another phone, except via email. If you receive a photo text, you cant view it from your iphone, you have to log on to a computer and check from there. Is this true? Is there any chance of it being available in a firmware update???

I have a ball python, and he almost always poops in his water bowl. This morning when I got up, there was just a tiny bit of poop, and a bunch of what looks like tapeworms in there. It was really thin, skinny, and probably a foot or 2 long. What the heck is it??

He's a young cat, around 4-6 months old, and he's salivating like crazy, and sneezing a lot. We've had him about 2-3 weeks, got him from an animal shelter. He's been healthy every day since, until today. He was sneezing like crazy this morning, and now he's sneezing and he has the salivation thing going on. Any suggestions??

We have a spayed female cat that is about 4 or 5 years old living with us. Recently, we have fostered a male kitten about 5 months old, and our female is NOT taking any liking to him. We've never had any other cats with our older one before, she is strictly an indoor cat, and basically she just keeps hissing at him, and won't let him get near. He seems curious to sniff her but she just wont have it. Will this eventually stop? All I ever hear people talking about when it comes to cats, is how much fun it is to have more than one... Apparently not....

I've had it about a month and I've been feeding it twice a week (Saturdays and Wednesdays), and it always takes food. I've been told it will refuse food if it is full, which this one has never done. Do i need to increase the amount of food i feed it now? Is it even possible or dangerous to overfeed a snake? Thanks!

Hi I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am and I believe I've got some wheel bearing issues. I drive about 25 miles one way to work, and it's all smooth straight freeway. If I'm doing between 70-75, and have the steering wheel turned VERY slightly to the left, it's virtually flawless. But the more I turn the wheel to the right (to pass, or for a curve going right) then it makes a loud hum, that you can also feel in the car, especially on the steering wheel. I've had the car aligned and the techs can't find a problem, but obviously something is wrong because this noise is by far normal. Any suggestions?

I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am with about 70k miles on it. Recently, the heater control has had issues. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd settings don't work. The fan will not blow any air. However, settings 4 and 5 work just fine... I'm asking here before I take it to a mechanic in hopes that someone has possibly had this problem previously, and could answer the question for me. Will a new heater control unit fix the issue?

I can't seem to understand musical scales... Guitar to be more precise. I've been playing about 8 months, I'm self taught, and I'm trying to understand them but all the "root note" and designs and everything seems to be nothing but confusing to me. Can anyone explain musical scales to me so i can understand what exactly it is??

I was told to never turn the Gain way down and the volume way up because it's known as "pushing the tubes" and I could fry my amp. #1 is this true? #2, what is pushing the tubes and what things do I want to avoid???
