Spanish music recommendation?
I'm looking to expand my Spanish music collection. Preferably something with high energy like Vivir Mi Vida (Marc Anthony) or Gitano de Amor (the restaurant scene in The Ugly Truth). Artists and or song titles would be greatly appreciated.

1 AnswerOther - Hardware8 years agoShould I See Hansel and Gretel?
I want to see the new Hansel and Gretel movie, but I'm not entirely certain if I could stomach it.
I saw Shark Night without issue, and I can handle some gore to an extent. Violence is no issue for me. I was able to watch the first two Final Destination movies without issue. I was sort of able to handle the third one (I have anxiety issues that build up, so I can't see thriller or suspense movies without that anxiety exerting itself as abdominal pain later). The issue in parentheses was my downfall when I saw Final Destination 5; but it was a great movie. I was able to watch the fourth Final Destination because I had watched the deaths on Youtube a few times beforehand to desensitize my stomach to the anxiety and gore.
I read the parental guide on IMDB and saw a thing or two of concern (the people being crushed by trolls; feel free to let me know about that). I've watched the theatrical trailer to Hansel and Gretel on the movie website, and nothing on it bothered me. So back to my question; do you think I should see it?
1 AnswerMovies8 years agoIs it Worth it to buy a TI-83?
I'm a Psychology Major on my final semester of getting my AA. I needed a graphing calculator for college algebra two semesters ago, but I didn't want to spend a lot and I wanted a brand of familiarity, so I bought Casio for $60 (I have a Casio scientific calculator which has done wonders for me, hence why I said familiarity). Now, I'm in a Statistics course and we obviously need graphing calculators. But the instructions my professor gives are all for the TI-83 and I have to work slightly harder than anyone else in the class to find the buttons and functions I need. So is it worth it to buy the TI-83, and if so should I buy it new or spare some expense and get it off Amazon.com? Thanks
4 AnswersMathematics8 years agoWhat more can I do to help?
I have a friend who is severely depressed. We haven't met yet because we live in 2 different countries. I try my best to help him be happier, but he has...I guess you could say mood swings....of feeling suicidal and wanting to die. I'm a Psychology major, so I know the basic stuff, but I'm at my wit's end. His country's healthcare system is taking its sweet time helping him, and he just gets worse and worse. There is refusal to call any sort of hotline and everything must be self-motivated. I won't give too many other details since this is public, but any new suggestions?
1 AnswerPsychology9 years agoWhat does "American" really mean?
Sometimes I find myself wondering what "American" actually means. Because many of us live in the United States of the North American continent, and there is also a South American Continent. So could any citizen of these continents be considered "American"?
9 AnswersOther - Society & Culture9 years agoHelp Identifying a Song?
Can someone help me identify a song used on the Today Show? It was on the 4th hour when KLG and Hoda were doing the wedding segment on 5/15/12. I'll add a video I can find one.
1 AnswerLyrics9 years agoIs there an American Accent?
You often hear someone ask if people like British accents. If you think about it, there are many British accents/dialects (though I usually note similarities in them).
Well when someone says you have an American accent or if you ask someone if they like American accents, it's the same concept; there are many American accents/dialects. However, this got me (and a friend) wondering, is there truly an American accent? Because it seems that American accents are very distinct from each other (forgive my bias).
So what do you think, is there truly an American accent?
9 AnswersOther - Society & Culture9 years agoI had to ask this of the homophobes?
I have seen countless questions, the majority of them from what I assume to be trolls, asking why homosexuals (they often forget bisexuals) are trying to pervert them and make heterosexuals accept their disgusting lifestyles. They are against gay rights, gay marriage, the whole lot. So here is my question to you:
Here is your chance to explain why you feel the need to state this. What SPECIFICALLY does non-heterosexuality do to influence your life? If you are so against the LGBT community, then why do you spend so much time in here just making yourself hated unless you're plain bored? The obvious answer: you get a joy of it. If you have a reasonable answer, well then more respect to you and understanding given. If you troll with offensive answers, you know what the outcome will be. To those of the LGBT community; help me out with a few facts and stats to correct those with troll answer please.
Okay, begin...
4 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender9 years agoQuestion for the Top Contributors?
While I will always give good, decent, detailed answers where I see fit (and likewise for the sarcastic ones, if i'm being realistic); how did you get your Top Contributor badge? Was it that you gave that many good answers or did you answer so often that the frequency/volume of answers caught Yahoo's attention?
The reason I asked is because the other day I noticed a rather infamous troll (Wendy) get a TC badge and it confused me.
(I asked in this section because I spend the most time in it)
8 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender9 years agoCynicism Toward Psychology?
I've decided to address the title of this question. I know that so many people think that all Psychologists are out to just tell you that something is wrong with you so that you pay an exorbitant amount to come see them again and they just give you medication. And worse, that people will only go to a shrink to get medication for solving all of their problems. So I shall clarify.
It is not all about the money. In fact, I plan to be affordable for people. There is a difference between Psychology and Psychiatry that many do not recognize; the former cannot prescribe medicine, the latter can. A psychologist wants to help you, not drug you or suck you penniless. "Shrinks" have helped people without medication. There's stuff going on in all of our heads, some just need help sorting through it to a degree that the untrained person does not know how to provide.

The last time I saw Winnie the Pooh, I realized how every character has a disorder, I couldn't believe it. This shows you what I mean:

I'm a Psychology Major, I can't help myself. But if any Psychologists have something to comment against it, I'm glad to learn.

4 AnswersOther - Food & Drink9 years agoWhy does everyone see in black and white?
I'm a Christian, have been all my life. However, I've also always loved science. Now, of course, religious belief paired with scientific interest has brought about some conflict; some of which I'm still trying to figure out. Let's compare them shall we?
For purposes of trying to cover necessary things, I'll use the extremists of both sides.
For the religion debate, I shall reference the Westboro Baptist Church. They are the suicide bombers of the Christian faith. I'm using them because from what I've read, a fair amount of Atheists (not all) seem to believe we all think like they do: "live by the Bible and question NOTHING or you're going to Hell. We are right and believing in God is the sole means of understanding anything". I am a more open-minded Christian. I believe that everything in the Bible is truth, but I wonder if everything can be applied in different modern ages. I also question translation, meaning, and interpretation; after all, not every piece of the original Scripture is intact. So I basically get through life by believing in God, praying, and following the parts of the Bible that I understand and make sense to me- I'm working on everything else as new conflict enters my life.
Now for the science debate, I shall simply go with mentioning the extreme Atheists that browse this forum. They go around just insulting anyone that believes in a deity, call the believers ignorant and say, "if there is a God, then why is there sickness, pain, and war in the world?" They claim that science explains everything, which it very clearly doesn't. Science (every field, not just biology and astronomy) explains quite a bit, but there are holes in the arguments.
I'm a psychology major (take that relevance as you will), enjoy biology and environmental science, and yet I am a Christian. I see everything tying into each other, why does everyone else see everything so clearly cut and believe they can't possibly be wrong? I understand that there are a great many holes in my argument (keep in mind that I'm questioning everything, not explaining it), but I'm not perfect and no one is.
P.S. If you're going to troll, please at least keep it relevant.
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWhat number on the Kinsey are you?
Now I realize which section I'm asking this in, which means the answers are more likely to be "skewed". But I figure that I could get some more variance in here.
So anyway, what number do you consider yourself on the Kinsey scale? Apparently it's not designed to measure sexual orientation, but it seems to do a pretty dang good job of doing so.
7 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender10 years agoWhat can he do besides what he's been told?
A friend of mine (it literally is a friend, not me, he needs perspective other than mine), could use some new insight.
For a little while he's known that he is gay. He's got a rather unsupportive family and unrelatable friends. He finds himself terrified a the prospective of living life as a gay man, yet neither of us sees how he can live otherwise. He's heard the usual "it gets better" but doesn't really believe it. How can he feel comfortable with himself (he's 20 btw) and no longer be depressed?
2 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender10 years agoExamples of Free Speech Taken Away?
If you're reading this and you're bored, could you help me out and find examples of government taking away the right to free speech. For example, a bar owner had an offensive word displayed all over his establishment. Someone didn't like that, so they took it to court and won. The owner had to remove the word but got it tattooed on his head. If someone takes offense to it and he loses in court, he could be banned from his own bar.
Any kind of story like that would be appreciated, whether it be a video from a documentary or news website or a newspaper article. Any state in the US will do.
Thank you.
4 AnswersPolitics10 years agoBristol on the way to Surrey?

In Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Philosopher's Stone for the British), Hagrid says that Harry fell asleep as they were flying over Bristol on the way to Dursley's house in Surrey.
From those 2 maps of the locations of Bristol and Surrey, it doesn't make sense that they would be flying over Bristol to get to Surrey, unless I missed something about locations.
Could someone please explain this to me?
2 AnswersOther - Society & Culture10 years ago2 iTunes: 1 computer?
I have an iPod Touch and run it from the iTunes on my laptop. A family member is going to be getting an iPad 2 and the best option is to have it run from my laptop as well. Is there a way to have 2 iTunes downloaded on the same computer to run the devices separately without an attempted second download of iTunes just being an update of my current iTunes? Otherwise I'm going to have to spend some time changing the synchronization settings, and we all know how tedious that can be.
Also, would an iTunes on an external hard drive work on a computer that already has iTunes downloaded?
Any advice? If there is a way to do it, be very specific please.
