Approximately how many registered members of the American Conservative Party are there?
There seems to be little information posted on this political party, that was founded in 2008. Are there any reliable statistics available? Is it a breakaway from the Republican party by "tea party" Republicans who felt the Republican party wasn't conservative enough?
1 AnswerGovernment8 years agoWhere can I find/buy okara in San Diego?
I've tried Whole Foods and a few local Asian markets. I even tried 99 Ranch but no one knew what I was talking about. I know I can make some if I make my own soy milk, but I was hoping to purchase it as a ready to use ingredient.
1 AnswerCooking & Recipes10 years agoWho is the voice actor for character Hilly Burford on Back at the Barnyard?
In the animated TV show Back at the Barnyard, there is an infrequent character, newscaster Hilly Burford. I cannot find any information on who does the voice, nor can I find any mention of the character's full name on the Internet. In an episode entitled "Otis Runs for Mayor," (originally aired September 25, 2008) the character's name is clearly displayed before a news report so I'm basing the spelling of his name on that episode. Who provides his voice? I've found several comments suggesting (without citation) that the character is based on Will Ferrell's exaggerated impersonation of sportscaster Harry Caray, but no mention of who provides the voice.
1 AnswerComics & Animation1 decade agoWhich type of refrigerator/freezer thermometer is most accurate?
I'm not necessarily looking for a specific brand (though that might be helpful in addition to my primary question), but I would like to know what type of thermometer is most accurate for use in the refrigerator and freezer, bi-metallic, liquid (spirit) filled or digital and why is this choice better than the other two? I've tried researching this online and can't find much to help me out. I have two bi-metallic thermometers and they don't seem to be very accurate at all, but this may be due to the quality of these specific models (they were only $5 a piece) and not indicative of bi-metallic thermometers in general. I know the spirit filled (liquid filled) are the oldest, but that doesn't mean they are less accurate, necessarily. Likewise, I know digital is the newest technology but again, newer doesn't imply "better." Thanks in advance for your answers. :)
3 AnswersPhysics1 decade agoCan you restore loft to a sleeping bag kept too long in a compression bag? If so, how?
I have a nice, 0º High Peak sleeping bag but unfortunately we just realized that after a camping trip last winter (the last time we went camping when it was cold enough to use this bag) it was overlooked in the unpacking process and was accidentally stowed in a compression bag for nearly a year now. I know this is death to the insulating ability of a sleeping bag, but is there a way to restore some or all of the loft? Would laundering the bag in a front loader followed by a toss in a front loading dryer set on cool bring back some of the bag’s protection against the cold (the bag is machine washable).
PS - the good news is I do know it was dry when it was stowed because it was an especially dry trip and there was little moisture on either the ground or in the air). Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
1 AnswerCamping1 decade agoIs there a way to send my questions to people on "My Contacts" or "My Fans" lists?
I have a general question which I would genuinely like input on from a few people listed on my "My Contacts" or "My Fans" lists but I don't have their email addresses. Is there any way to alert them to my question? Seems there should be an easy way to do it directly from Y!A.
1 AnswerYahoo Answers1 decade agoIf you could meet anyone (past or present), have dinner and get to know them, whom would it be?
This could be any person (what the hell, I'll even open it up to fictional character). Whom would you chose to meet and why. Yes, I know this question has been asked by others probably dozens of times, but it's a great question to ask and re-ask because each time different people respond and you get a different variety of answers each time. My choice would be Samuel Clemens (AKA Mark Twain). I think he was well ahead of his time in many regards and I find him to be quiet clever. How about you? Who would you like to break bread with? Most interesting and well thought out response gets the 10 points. :)

I submitted my forms last night and paid my taxes, but how do I get the paperwork to the IRS if I filed electronically? Do I still have to send them in via mail?
6 AnswersUnited States1 decade agoWhat is your favorite Almodóvar film?
Also state why it's your favorite Almodóvar film.
A bonus that will get the best answer for the first to answer correctly. What previous film did Almodóvar make that has a strong tie in to his recent film, Volver and what is that connection (without giving any plot spoilers)?
3 AnswersMovies1 decade agoMy boyfriend convinced me to buy Jackass II on DVD. How should I punish him?
He kept telling me several of the guys are cute and the extra footage in the uncut version shows a lot of flesh...but it just wasn't worth it. And something more original than, "pull one of their stunts on him." Most amusing or original reply will get the best answer points. :)
12 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships1 decade agoDavid Geffen publicly announced that he hopes purchase the LA times. How will this effect the paper's "tone"?
This is a question of curiosity for me. I don't know much about multi-billionaire, Geffen, but I do know that the owner of a paper often effects the "lean" of the paper, making it more conservative or more liberal. Where does Geffen stand regarding social and economic politics?
1 AnswerMedia & Journalism1 decade agoDo you know how I can make a digital image from an x-ray film either myself or from a service like Kinko's?
I have a full sized canine shoulder x-ray (approximately 15 X 18 inches) and I would like to make a digital image of the film for a power point slide. I am aware of special software and scanners on the market for this purpose, but do not plan making these types of images regularly. Is there a way to make an accurate image with a more standard scanner or can digital images be produced at common office service center such as FedEx-Kinko's or some other commonly accessible service center?
