What fictional character did/do you have a crush on?
Can be from a book, movie, cartoon, video game....anything. Some info on why you crush(ed) on them would be neat. And if you don't have one, please don't answer. The question''s not for you.
My biggest one was probably Tintin from The Adventures of Tintin franchise. After the movie came out I was crushing on him all the time. I liked pretty much everything about him, the character was really appealing to me, maybe due to because he's a reporter and he's good at kicking butt when he needs to. And I just loved his unique hair.
So, who was/is your fictional crush?

1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment8 years agoKingdom Hearts fans: Would you read a Disney book with Sora from KH at the parks?
I'm working on a story that takes place at Disney World/Land (I'm not considering publishing it) but I was wondering about the opinions of fellow Kingdom Hearts fans if I were to include Sora in the story. He wouldn't be the main character, but more like a member of this team who is trying to protect the parks from the Disney baddies who are going after these magical items. He'd still have the same personality as in the games, and would be well represented (I'm a big fan of KH and Sora is one of my favorite characters)
So would you read a book that featured Sora as one of the characters and that took place at Disney World/Land?
5 AnswersVideo & Online Games9 years agoWhy does everyone scramble for the newest gadget...?
when the company who created it will come out with a newer and better one later on? Like the DS, and how now everyone has a DSi. Or the iPad, or iPhones, or practically anything. Why don't they understand that they will always have the old model?
3 AnswersOther - Electronics9 years agoWhat is the name of this Beatles song?
I'm trying to remember the name of this Beatles song I heard a while back. My memory of it is very vague.
It mentioned something about a show and some sort or dancing group, as well as a dancing horse. The beginning of the song reminded me of a Circus or a Carnival. If someone could give me the name of this song, and find it for me on YouTube I would greatly appriciate it!
Thanks!
4 AnswersOther - Music9 years agoWhich is this item supposed to be? The collectible figure or the ornament?
I was just looking at this finished eBay listing of what is listed as a Hallmark ornament:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/350505585621?ssPageName=ST...
But in the picture it doesn't appear to be an ornament. There is no loop for the ornament hook, obviously. It looks more like this collectible figure I've seen:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hanna-Barbera-Jonny-Quest-...
So, which item do you presume it is? Is it as it looks in the picture or has the buyer gotten the ornament (seen here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-Hallmark-Johnny-Jonny...
I was just curious. Thanks!
1 AnswerToys9 years agoWould my school allow me to use a Nook Simple Touch for reading?
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/p/nook-sim%E2%80%A6
I just might be getting the above nook for Christmas (most of my purpose for it is reading) and I was not sure if my school would allow me to use a nook in classes to read. Some of the teachers are tough on their electronics policy and some aren't (I have several teachers who hear a phone ring but let the person off the hook unless it's happened more than once) I asked a fellow student who owns a Kindle and she said that she is allowed to use it because it is not the touch screen kind. I told my Mom, however, that I've heard that a Kindle breaks easier than a Nook so I'd prefer getting the Nook. We also saw features that would benefit me more on it. I wasn't sure how to go about asking a teacher if I can use a Nook in their classes, what should I say? Should I explain to them that I won't use the 3G on it to use the internet and whatnot, that I will only be reading?
Would they treat it like any other electronic? Why would they not allow me to use a Nook?
Thanks!
2 AnswersOther - Electronics9 years agoNon-messy snack doohickey for my room?
I was thinking that maybe this Christmas I could ask for something for my room for me to get snacks from when I'm watching a movie or doing my homework in there. I need something that is not that expensive or overly messy, and is convenient. I thought maybe a mini vending machine if something like that even exists. Something I could refill with snacks, or something that makes my favorite snack (like a drink maker or something) I'd also like it to be easy to care for, and it needs to be a nice enough size to where it would fit nicely into my room. No cotton candy or popcorn machines (I've owned both and they did not turn out well) or anything that makes/serves only junk food.
If you have any recommendations, I'd like that. I'd be sharing this with my brother (he visits my room a lot to watch movies with me or to play games) and any friends that hang out with me in my room.
Thank you!

That's a question I just answered, and several people on there were making very rude comments. The asker is good friend of mine and I know that one of the answerers was saying things that didn't have anything to do with the question. She was obviously fighting back, and she told me that she doesn't like these rude answers, especially when they're rude and are saying things that don't apply to her.

4 AnswersBooks & Authors10 years agoHorror flick Halloween decoration giving me REALLY bad nightmares and I want them to stop?
Okay, so a few weeks ago we went to Party City to get an idea of what we wanted to be for Halloween. We decided to bring my friend along with us because we thought it'd be fun. It was fun, until we were waiting at the front of the store for my Dad to bring his truck around to get us. There was this figure of Freddy (From the Nightmare on Elm Street movies, which, FYI, I've never seen) at the front of the store. I didn't think it was going to scare me any, so I dared my friend to push the button that was on the base of the figure. It then started moving and Freddy's song started playing (my friend told me what it was when it started to play) That was the freaky part. It didn't help much when more people came in and decided to press the button again, this time causing Freddy to talk. I was glad to get out of there. But things got worse.
While in the truck my friend started to tell us about the Elm Street movies (Even though I told her to stop, but she kept telling us (my brother and dad wanted an excuse to scare me) about how Freddy is a murderer in them. Now that was too much. I now have a mental picture of Freddy, complete with his voice and song and all about him, and it is stuck in my head. That night and ever since I haven't been able to sleep, because every time I close my eyes I see him, and I keep thinking he's going to come in and kill me. I keep telling myself he is not real, but that's not helping. I try watching Disney movies, but after falling asleep for a little while, Freddy pops up in my head and wakes me back up. I try listening to music, but his song keeps popping back up into my head.
I had to go back to Party City last night to get my costume, and Freddy was still there. People of course pushed the button, and now I'm having more and more nightmares about him. I can't stand them anymore, and I'm am getting up tired every day because they keep me awake. How can I get rid of them?
1 AnswerHalloween10 years agoFor a fan of the original show, is the Jonny Quest telefilm "Jonny's Golden Quest" worth seeing?
Now, I was Googling Jonny Quest when this movie name came up, "Jonny's Golden Quest" I read that it was made in 1993 (way off from the 60's) and I found the DVD online, and I also found you can watch the movie on YouTube. http://www.wbshop.com/Jonnys-Golden-Quest/10002241...
Now, I'm a fan of the original show, and because I read that the movie tells how Jonny's mother died, I thought I might want to see it. Is it worth watching?
1 AnswerComics & Animation10 years agoOn Boomerang, was there ever a small short video that played in-between shows based on "Jonny Quest"?
You know how sometimes on Boomerang, in between episodes of their shows they'll play short videos based off of some of the other shows. I've seen Huckleberry Hound, The Jetsons, Yogi Bear, a lot of their popular ones, but I have to ask if they ever did one for Jonny Quest. it's such a cool cartoon, I don't see why they wouldn't do one. Did they ever make one, and does it still play?
2 AnswersComics & Animation10 years agoWhy I am I being told to stop writing my novel?
I have been working on a novel that takes place at Walt Disney World, and it's very interesting to those who I've let read what I have so far. It's about a girl who meets these two boys at her Disney hotel (who are, in actuality, characters from an old cartoon) and becomes good friends with them. She soon finds out that the Disney villains have been plotting to kidnap them so that they can use one of them to pull the sword from the stone. Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (who has been appointed to watch villain activity in and around the parks) finds out and recruits her and the Recess gang from Disney's Recess to stop the villain's plot and save the boys. It's actually got a bit of violence in it, and so far it has been applauded by friends of mine and my family who have read it, however several of them are telling me to quit writing it because they think I'm copying off of Ridley Pearson's Kingdom Keepers books. It's a completely different story from my own imagination, and I don't believe I'm copying Mr. Pearson. In my story, the real villains and the real Disney characters are roaming about the park during the day when guests are in the park, but they easily fool the guests by getting them to believe that they are just the Cast Members that greet people around the parks dressed up as characters.
Why are people telling me to stop? It's a really good story, why would they tell me to stop? It's so negative of them!
5 AnswersBooks & Authors10 years agoPocket Watch with visible gears?
I need a gold watch with visible gears that allows you to wind it with the knob to act as the aleithiometer from The Golden Compass. I need it so that it was naturally designed to have the gears showing when the watch is opened. A friend of mine has one, but says it was a gift from her grandmother. I was wondering where I can get one?
1 AnswerFashion & Accessories10 years agoIs there any toy or Replica of the Alitheiometer from the Golden Compass?
All I have is a digi daemon toy that looks like the compass but I really don't like it. I know there is a noble collections one, but I also saw that they made one that was a toy that came with a plastic version of Lyra's purse. Does anyone know where I could get the toy? I really think the NC one is too expensive. I have a pocket watch that I use as the Compass right now, but I'd like t get the toy, Does anyone know where I can find one? I'm a big fan of the Golden Compass! Thanks if you can help!
1 AnswerToys10 years agoMy neighbor wants to take our new dog? What do I do? (Warning, long)?
We just adopted a sweet dog a few days ago, we really love and take care of her and she really loves us. Our next door neighbor came over to play with my brother and she saw the new dog. She kept asking if I would bring the dog over to her house to play with her 2 Chihuahuas. (whom she isn't that nice to) I told her that I would think about it, and she kept asking "When are you going to bring her over?" I'm pretty sure she just wants to play with our new dog, and my Dad is telling me not to do it. I really don't trust her. My neigbor has a bad history with dogs anyway. She takes her dogs onto her trampoline and puts them in sweaters and my brother said that she almost broke the leg of one of her dogs. Our new dog has been backing away from our neighbor because she barely knows her and the neighbor girl is picking her up and such. I have to come over and take the dog into another room or outside for some quality playtime. My dad and I sometimes have to take our girl (the dog) for a walk while the neighbor is over at our house. The neighbor girl pulled a stunt yesterday that really shocked me. She picked up the dog and began to go home. She was going pretty fast, but eventually stopped her, and asked her "What the heck are you doing with our dog?!" she said since I wasn't going to take the dog over to her house that she was. I knew right then and there that she wanted to take her (our dog). I went to get my Dad and he had a talk with the neighbor girl's father, but that didn't help. She has two dogs of her own and is just gawking at us because we just got one. She keeps trying to pull stunts like this, and her father is almost never home. She only has her 15 year old brother to watch her, and he never cares what she does. We can't just stop inviting her over, because my brother loves to play with her. I've suggested he go to her house to play with her, but he comes home telling me that she keeps making up excuses to want to come over here. How do I stop her?
13 AnswersDogs10 years agoDid/Do you like the 60's series Jonny Quest?
I really love the series. Last night I actually sat and watched a couple episodes and talked to my cat (which some might think is weird, but I had nobody else to talk to) about the episode we were watching and how cool the characters were and how stupid the henchmen for the villains were. (Like those guys in the purple suits in "The Fraudulent Volcano". I mean, come on! They didn't even notice the boys were hiding under the car and they ended up crashing their flying platforms!) I really love the show and wish more modern day kids like me knew about it. All they want to watch is whats on the TV channels today. It really disappoints me how they don't know anything about shows like this, and that these older shows are a lot better than the crap on TV today. So does anyone remember and like this show, and does anyone think that more modern kids should watch shows like this?
3 AnswersComics & Animation10 years agoIs there really going to be a Jonny Quest live-action movie?
I have the whole series on DVD and absolutely love the show, but I've been hearing a lot of rumors that they are going to make a live action movie and that Zac Efron is going to play Jonny and the The Rock is going to be Race. I'm really trying to believe the rumors aren't true because after seeing all the other cartoon based movies I've been disappointed. Plus I think the actors are not good choices for the characters. Zac Efron is not the right person for the roll, but I did figure they would pick someone like him for the part. I already had a hunch that The Rock would be picked to play Race, but I was still a bit upset. My mom is also a big cartoon to movie fan and really likes to see her favorite cartoons from her childhood become movies. Shes taken me to see them all, and I have always been disappointed, except Scooby Doo. Now she wants me to see the Smurfs, whcih might be good.
So, back to my question, are they really going to make a live action Jonny Quest movie or not? What do you think of the idea of one?
