  • What can I do to help my husband de-stress? Guys please help!?

First, let me thank you for your help.

My husband and I are in a hard way right now. We recently moved back east from TX. We have a house in TX on the market (since Jan of this yr) that isn't moving (& its beautiful), he is working, and I am looking for work & hopefully will have something soon, money is really tight and bills are still coming.

My question to you is what can I do to help my husband not stress out. He had a break down of sorts last night about everything and I am so worried about him.

He gets up at 4a.m. to go to work and doesn't get home until after 5p.m., I have dinner ready for him, and make his lunch for the following day. After dinner he showers, we talk, and enjoy what ever's on TV or just try and relax.

I am putting out over 20 resumes' a day trying to find work, & like I said hopefully something will happen soon.

As a guy, what would you want your wife to do, to help with stress?

(And yes, our sex-life is just fine).

    Thanks again!

  • Advise in looking for a real estate agent?

With a new job, I have to relocate to another state and am needing to sell my house. This is my first house that I have owned, so I am unfamilar with looking for a real estate agent. I do not want to use the agent I had when I bought the house. So what are things that I should look for in a real estate agent? What questions should I ask them? Is this something I should shop around? Also, I need to get the house sold quickly (my job wants me to start ASAP), but I do want to make some $$, any advise?

    Thank you so very much!

  • Pumpkin Patch is Corpus Christi, TX?

I am new to the area and was curious if there is a pumpkin patch in the Corpus Christi area. I am willing to drive 30-45 mins.

I grew up going to a place in Virginia that had a huge patch where you could pick and cut from the vine your own pumpkin, have hot apple cider, activities for the kids, free hay ride, corn maze, and scary house.

I would LOVE to find something like that here.

I looked online and couldn't find anything.

Thanks so much and Happy Halloween!

  • How do I fix a hole in the carpet?

I have a puppy who is very curious, and last night as I was cooking dinner I found him eating my carpet! After I put the little stinker in his crate I cleaned the area and found that he left a 1/2 dollar coin size hole on one of the stairs. Is there a cheap way to fix this where it looks like nothing happened or do I need to hire someone to come and fix it?

    Thanks.

By the way...the puppy is fine...spoiled, but fine. :)

  • Where should I spend Thanksgiving?

My husband & I are closer w/ my family but can't afford to fly back east for the holiday. We have been invited by 2 people, locally, to seperate Thanksgiving celebrations. We were 1st asked by our best friend whose family has really taken us in & made us a part of there family, no questions asked. We even call her mother, 'ma'.

About a month later, we were later asked by my husbands aunt, who is the only person in his family that we do have a relationship with & care for dearly. We don't see her often, because as I said, his family is not very close, but when we do see her, its always a nice time.

We don't know what to do. We told our friend who intially invited us yes because we thought no one in his family would (they usually don't &his parents never called me back) but urg...

Also, both are celebrating the holiday at about the same time &since we are not the only ones invited to the holiday feast we don't feel right asking them to change the time just for us.

    What would you do?

  • For anyone in a relationship...am I overreacting?

My birthday just past yesterday & I didn't get 1 thing from my husband. Not a gift, not a dinner out, not even a card. He worked late. We moved to this area 7 months ago & I have NO friends or family here, the closest are over 7 hrs away. So I sat in my livingroom eating leftovers & watching TV last night with my dogs for my bday.

His bday celebration was a 2 wk affair. On his actual bDAY I took him for to dinner to his fav resturant, that weekend I took him to a prof baseball game (even called ahead & got his name put on the jumbo-tron), gave him gifts gallore (tools, clothes, stuff for car, etc), got his favorite cake made. The 2nd wkend following his bday I took him for a long wkend away to the beach, stayed at a resort, also bought him gifts there.

In his defense he is working LOTS, but then again he has an hour lunch everyday & my birthday comes at the same time every year.

I am depressed & hurt. I feel like again, I went all out for him, nothing for me.

  • My male 6 mo Scottie puppy was neutered on Friday and I think it may be infected...?

My 6 mo Scottie puppy was neutred on Friday. I had adopted him and with the cost of the adoption his neuter was included. I had to take him to a Vet that the adoption agency used.

Friday night one of his stiches popped. I called the vet and was told it should be fine (he has 2 stiches left).

Last night I caught the pup licking at it. I told him to stop immediatly which he did, but apon a closer look, the left side of the where the incision was made is red and a little hard and the area around his sack is red. It is not hot to the touch.

He is acting fine, eating as usual, etc.

I don't feel comfortable taking him back to the vet that performed the procedure, the place was 45 mins away, a whole in the wall & I think the a.c. was broken.

What should I do until I can get him into his usual vet?

Please help I am very worried.

  • I have 2 dogs getting spayed today, what should I do to help them with the healing process?

I have a 6 month male Scottie mix and a 7 month female pug getting fixed today. I am curious as to what I can do to make them feel comfortable. I went out last night & bought them new beds and toys. Any suggestions? Also, I will double check w/the vet, but when is it okay for them to eat, drink, play, etc?

    Thanks so much
