  • Can a ships Captain officiate a legally binding wedding? (USA)?

    traditionally naval Captain's could perform wedding ceremonies, does anyone know if this is still true, and if it would be legally binding, in the USA? I'm just curious I always thought it would be neat.

  • Switching from glasses to contacts for the first time, suggestions? recommendations? preferences?

    i've worn glasses for a while but my eyes were never really bad so i never wear my glasses all day. but now my eyes are getting worse, and i'm thinking i should probably be wearing them all the time, so now i'm considering contacts. Has anyone had a really hard time switching to contacts? i don't like putting drops in my eyes, which i know i would have to get used to, but touching my eyes and stuff is fine. ladies, what about wearing make-up, did you have to change anything when you switched to contacts? Generally, i'm just concerned about getting used to them and if I will be able to adjust, I probably wouldn't wear them everyday, but for playing sports, going out, dressing up, etc.

    any advice about your first experiences with contacts would be helpful, thanks!
