What is the name of a British film which features a story about parents who wish there son would come back to life. (who might be called David).
When he comes back to life he is embalmed. Similar to the"wish you were here" story from Tales from the crypt.
It might be a Hammer film.

2 AnswersHobbies & Crafts10 years agowhere will the most dangerous released prisoners from Israel go?
The most dangerous of the released Palestinian prisoners will not be allowed to return to the West bank and Gaza and will be "forced into exile" by the Israeli government. Where exactly will they be heading and who will let them in? Hopefully not the UK, with it's soft asylum laws or any other EU country which means they will end up in the UK anyway.

1 AnswerLyrics1 decade agosouthampton torpedo sighting?
Has anyone else noticed what looks like the casing of a torpedo in the tidal mud of Southampton water. It is visible from the train as you are about to arrive at Bitterne railway station. It appears to be broken and I assume harmless. Would it be a relic from WW2? Are these things left or it supposed to be removed?
6 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoMortgage protection insurance - changing jobs/ changing policies?
I have an existing mortgage payment protection policy which is quite expensive. I am considering a cheaper policy simply to save money each month. I am faced with uncertainty in my job and may be unemployed in two months due to cuts (council-public sector). Many insurance companies will not ensure me for a new policy due to this. Should I keep my existing policy? ( which will help me if I am unemployed) or try to get a new one. Or look for a new full-time job first before considering any thing.

1 AnswerOther - Music1 decade agoMortgage protection insurance?
I have two life insurance policies protecting my mortgage, one is for critical illness and injury, the other is payment protection. They are quite expensive, would I be able to get one cheaper policy to cover me completely and can anybody recommend any. Bearing in mind that I found it quite difficult to get insurance in the first place due to my age 26 at the time and occupation, council worker.

Does any nationality of people apart from the British keep a "bag of bags" in the kitchen. One plastic carrier bag containing many others, which rarely seem to get used, just hoarded.

After another dismal world cup exit, it's time for another, although Cappello has another 2 years I think he will step down/ be pushed. I would go for Harry Redknapp, possibly with Beckham as a trainee assistant.
12 AnswersEnglish Football1 decade agoChuckle Brothers in Israeli Navy raid?
Can anybody tell me why the Chuckle brothers, Paul and Barry were apparently on board one of the ships boarded by the Israeli Navy today. I assume they are involved in middle east peace activism/ humanitarian work. It seems a bit of a bizarre situation, more importantly are they safe.
5 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoCutting France's Nuclear Arsenal?
The French possess the world's third largest nuclear arsenal. Is it time for them to reduce this following the precedent set by Russia and the US. As a NATO member state does it need such large numbers of weapons/ or nuclear weapons at all to defend it's national sovereignty. Seeing as the cold war finished 20 years ago, I can't see where the threat is supposed to be coming from. The very tiny possibility of an islamist terrorist with a crude radioactive bomb in a suitcase doesn't really justify it.

3 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoWhat's so scary about a one-world-government?
I am not a conspiracy theorist, but occasionally read about them.
The idea of a one world government does not sound to scary to me if it does ever exist. Providing I can go to work, have a house, do things I enjoy. Also small elite groups { the ruling classes }, have always controlled countries and empires and always will. Why do people find this so sinister. The government "knowing things about me", doesn't scare me either. What is the big deal about this "illuminati"
22 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhy do British politicians always copy the US?
David Cameron's plan to introduce a "neighbourhood army" of community volunteers is a blatant copy of one of Obama's ideas. The governments of Blair and Brown have been littered with such carbon copies of US ideas. A lot of these are not that effective in the US or UK, but everything done by politicians over there seems to be tried over here.
Should the Uk be looking to Europe more for ideas, there are very effective policies in France and Germany for example ( close neighbours) our MP's choose to disregard.

1 AnswerPolitics1 decade agotype of bomb- german UXB Southampton 04/03/2010?
A World war 2 UXB found yesterday was described by police as a "big" bomb. When removed and disposed off later by Royal Navy Bomb Disposal it was found to be a 45Kg device. Not very big, I assume this was an incendiary device intended for the old Ordnance Survey building a few yards from where it was found. What kind of bomb was it? Was it incendiary or HE. Into the photo released it looks a bit blue, but this could be ageing. I know a bit about the Blitz in Southampton as I live there, but can get much info on this.
