  • Really fancy a boy working on the funfair I work on?

Basically I'm working on a funfair for the summer in the token kiosk and I majorly have a crush on the boy who works on one of the big rides. He's really hot and sweet, he looks after my phone when we go on the ride but I just don't know how to get closer to him.

    Any suggestions would be great...

  • Do these sound like hallucinations/delusions?

    "symptoms" albeit very mild

-sometimes i feel like everything is going too fast and whizzing past me like sounds, movement etc...

-often i feel like i'm being followed/watched, i always feel like people are right behind me.

-I get paranoid that i'm being tracked from my phone so i always turn it off... earlier in the year i thought it was a great idea to get a secret phone and i so almost did but looking back i think i might have been kinda manic.

-I feel bugs crawling on my skin and biting me so I'm always sweeping my legs and arms off

-I've 'seen' spiders and jumping bugs, i quite often see spiders run across the floor but no one else does.

-I hear the front door open even when no one is meant to be home so I check it a lot .

-quite often i feel things touch me when theres nothing touching me at all.

-At home I always think people are in the hallway or my wardrobe staring at me

-In the shower i think i might get stabbed so i avoid shutting my eyes.

-I hear my name being called and sometimes parts of conversations that aren't happening

  • Help with the step in the foxtrot!?

In the first foxtrot that you learn (the one that goes: 2 inside edges, closed chasse, 2 cross rolls, lfo three turn, back chasse, back run, back cross roll, step to forward, lfo mohawk, leg lift then step to a lfi edge) do you have any tips for the lfo mohawk... the rest of the dance is fine but as soon as i change feet i find it hard to stay facing out the circle and lift my leg? I feel my arms rotate and sometimes i drop my hip but any tips would be appreciated. How high do you lift your leg? At the moment i'm only lifting it a little, not particularly significantly, should i be doing more of a lift?

    Thanks alot

  • I'm stuck on what to do for A-level?

Currently I am pretty definite on maths and physics as i'm thinking i'd like to be a high school science teacher (physics specialist) and to get onto the in school teacher training course at my school they take physics, maths and biology teachers, predominantly those with degrees in the field they want to teach. Also, to do physics at uni you have to have done maths and physics...

I have been offered a place at my school 6th form (dependant on final grades) and currently i have put down maths, physics, biology and psychology but i don't think i will enjoy 4 academic subjects and i don't really love biology, so I want to swap biology and psychology for two different subjects; the ones i can't decide between are:

    media studies,

    photography,

    english lit lang (one subject),

    textiles

Please can you tell me what you think of each choice, if you've done any of them can you tell me what they consist of and how much work they all are? thanks a lot x

  • Is it possible i have epilepsy or syncope?

When i was at school today, i was modelling for my friends art and we were with some of my other friends and the art technician using the photography suit. We had all the studio lights set to go off all at once, and after about 3 minutes of modelling i got very dizzy and lightheaded and had to crouch down, when we took another photo miss said to stop as i looked pale and ill.

previously i have fainted in a shopping centre, i think due to bright light and heat, and when cooking at school, they did actually call it a fit. Also, when i got out the shower (my shower is reasonably cold and dark) i remember having to crouch down and when i awoke i was flopped over with my head on a paint pot. I have a blank between putting my towel on and walking up, i'm pretty sure i fainted... I bruised my face that time. Quite often i feel like I'm going dizzy but i control it by sitting on the floor for maybe 5 minutes until the feeling passes. The only reason i'm asking is because of today in art.... I had eaten so it wasn't that? I'm wondering whether its photosensitive epilepsy or something else.... any opinions

  • Currently at an indecision between gold seals and phantoms...?

My blades are starting to run out of sharpening space (coronation aces) and i am debating between blades...

I don't jump that much anymore but i still do sometimes, As for spins i can do sit, back sit, camel, camel catch, i'm learning a layback and i can do most sit variations. I mostly do field moves and dance, i do want to do solo dance comps eventually and you are allowed spins so i primarily want a good spinning blade.

I have heard that phantoms are good for spinning but i know that have big picks, as do pattern 99's so the other blade i'm looking at is the gold seal as apparently the rocker is stable for dance and they have a high stanchion so are good for edges and they also are great for spinning... the only thing i worry about is the weight as i skate in edea and like how light my skates are right now.

I would love to be able to skate in disney on ice or other ice shows when i grow up so i do still want to work on jumps and stuff so thats why i have ruled out dance blades for now. They will last me for ages as i am getting them to fit my current and future skates as i will be going down a half size in boot next time, so price isn't too much of a problem as they are an investment. My feet stopped growing ages ago so i won't outgrow them. If i do go into dance in the future i would probably just keep these blades until they're dead and then get dance blades.

Which blade do you think is best for what i like to do? also, are there matrix versions of any of these blades?

  • should i wear a long or short dress to prom?

I love long prom dresses but i think a short dress could look quite nice on me but i want other opinions...

I am 5'10", medium white skin (i'd probably tan it) and medium - darkish brown hair

I am comfortable with my height, i don't really want to try and hide it but i think a long dress could drag me out and make me look taller which i don't really want. I'm from the uk so prom isn't as crazy as it is in the US but it's still quite a big deal at my school. No one wears puffy ball gowns or overly expensive dresses £200 max. I think if i wore a dress like this : http://www.dhgate.com/product/pretty-2013-a-line-o... with black peep toe heels it might look stylish and actually better than a long dress? i would get my hair done, maybe an undo or a braid and wear silver jewellery?

  • What a-levels would you recommend for me to take, i'm thinking i want to be a secondary school physics teacher?

I have realised that i want to be a teacher, i honestly love the school environment and one teacher has so much banter with the kids it looks like it is a job that has so many benefits to it, i do love children and i am a pretty confident person, especially with strangers...

I think i'd like to specialise in physics as not many girls are interested in the subject and i'd like to inspire other people to push themselves in school.

to do a physics degree you have to have physics and maths a levels so those two are definates, but i am not sure what to choose as my two others? I will probably drop one in year 13 so i am a bit stuck, i would love to take photography, psychology and maybe biology but as i can only choose two, which ones would a school look for when employing a teacher? I think psychology would look good as it would be quite useful as a teacher... Photography would show i am a well rounded person and not just a one trick pony and lastly biology would be good as it would mean i have more knowledge as a science teacher as you have to teach all three up until GCSE i think. which 3rd a level would you look for when employing a teacher, what would you're ideal 3 be for a physics teacher? eventually, i'd like to work my way up to the job of student support for ks4 as the teacher i'm friends with has this job and he truly loves it...

  • Catch foot twizzles and just twizzles in general?

Basically, when i go into my RI catch foot twizzle i really struggle to catch my blade, i go onto a deep inside edge, bend by skating leg and try to catch my foot but every time i do, i then can't turn. I also struggle catching my blade in general, do you have any tips for this?

Three jump twizzles... I know that you can't roll through your toe pick at all when you land as then it's not classed as a feature, but how do you get the momentum to turn (do you in your mind think back outside three and then think of it as an FI twizzle?

As for back twizzles, mine are often slow, how would you suggest i speed them up?

I also struggle holding my leg out to get a feature, is this just a lack of leg strength? What features do you have on your twizzles?

    Thanks a lot :)

  • my rabbit has diarrhoea, what do i do?

yesterday, i let my rabbit out from 5-11 in the evening, she seemed fine... I always let her have run of the garden so later that night me and my mum caught her to put her to bed, she seemed fine. when i got back from figure skating this morning i said to my mum lets go and put the bunnies out and when we opened her cage (i have 2 rabbits, the other is fine) she was sat quite still in a pile of reasonably sloppy poop, it wasn't liquid but it definitely wasn't normal. I let her out before realising this and now she is under a bush in my garden, i will eventually be able to get her out but i'm worried what caused this. On thursday she had some cabbage and carrot, not very much and we don't normally give them vegetables. If i manage to get her in to her hutch tonight should i just feed her hay and water. If i poke her ith a stick she will bite it and try and push it away which is pretty normal but she doesn't seem very energetic, should i just keep an eye on her, I'm very worried she may be on her last legs even though she is only 4. I also squeezed some water for her when she was in her hutch and she seemed quite thirsty, but now she is in this bush i can't watch her closely enough or catch her or give her water.

What should i do I'm very very worried :(

  • should i cut my hair?

my hair goes down to my waist, its medium brown and very thick and naturally straight/wavy. I have absolutely no clue what to do with it, i need to thin the bottom a bit, i think layers may help, but i don't know whether i should grow my hair or cut it to just above my chest? Most girls my age have hair down to their but, and i don't really know if i should follow the trend or cut it just an inch longer than makeupbymandy24 (amanda steele) my hair grows reasonably fast, but the ends are damaged at the moment so it isn't growing so fast... I feel like if i get it cut my hair will be healthier and therefore grow faster after i cut it. although i'm worried i'll never have long hair again if i cut it?

If i do cut it, should i get some layers?

  • question for anyone who sews or has made skating dresses?

skating dresses are ridiculously overpriced and i don't have much money to spare on a dress which i may never wear after a few outings.

What i'm wondering is what material do you use for the leotard? i think lycra looks tacky and shiny, what sort of material do brad griffins ect use?

would layers of chiffon work for the skirt or would it be too thin? what kind of material is the skirt usually made of?

how much smaller do you make the dress than your measurements seeing as it is stretchy material?

    thank you

  • do you prefer white or tan skates?

In the next few months i'm thinking of switching into ice dance from singles as i feel my strengths (footwork and moves) lie in dance. I really dislike jumping haha.

My current skates (risport rf3's and coronation aces) are dying, they are getting wobbly and weak. as i plan on switching to ice dance for good and keeping my current skates to do jumps for fun (i will replace them too eventually) should i invest in dance skates and blades? if i do decide on dance skates and not just RF1's, should i get a beige or white boot?

which do you prefer the look of on dance skaters?

if you have any experience with dance, are dance skates worth it and can you spin on dance blades?

    thank you, Lara xx

  • what music do you think i should skate to?

I am a fast, powerful skater (my coach always says this) and my coach has asked me to find some pieces of music i like and that would be fun to skate to for my NISA 1 test. I currently have a camel sit combo a back sit, a camel, a sit, scratch and crosstie spins and all jumps up to my inconsistent flip.

I really love footwork, that's my forte.

    currently I'm thinking:

for the first time in forever: Frozen- piano

    Say Something- piano

    state of grace- piano

    stay stay stay- piano

    all that jazz- chicago

    sing sing sing- benny goodman

all without lyrics as they are banned in routine.

I think the jazz pieces or Frozen would be good but i'd like other opinions on my choices!

    thanks so much, Lara xx
