The BJP is, according to Wikipedia, right wing and Hindu Nationalist. Is that not the same as saying that the party is racist, or even fascist?

The USA assassinated Osama bin Laden, and has killed hundreds of other alleged terrorists. Far fewer have been charged with any criminal offense.

Yet the USA virtually deified another terrorist, Nelson Mandela. Why?

It cannot be denied that Mandela was a terrorist. He founded MK, led bombing campaigns, supported the torture and murder of alleged police informers, tacitly endorsed "necklacing". He was sentenced to a term of imprisonment for bombings (if he had been fighting the USA he would have blown up or shot). Amnesty International declined to take up his case, accepting that he was not a political prisoner but a criminal. He refused offers of early release from 1985 onwards. There was one condition, that he renounce terrorism. He refused.

If bin Laden and hundreds on minor Al Qaeda members are terrorists, who should be blown up or shot at will, and denied any form of due process, why was Mandela treated as a hero?

I have seen something of Gok Wan on the programme How to look good naked. Can someone please clarify his or her sex. Wan is more feminine than camp, so does not appear gay. Yet he or she is too butch to be a woman. What is s/he - a hermaphrodite?

In America a budget cut is called a sequester. In any other country it is called a budget cut. Why does America use invented words for common-place things, like torture (enhanced interrogation techniques), kidnapping (extraordinary rendition), and of course, sequester?

In 1973 the Board of Directors of the American Psychiatric Association removed homosexuality from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), following years of lobbying and threats from elements in the homosexual community.

Until 1973 homosexuality was regarded by mainstream medical science as a mental illness. Most other countries have not followed the lead of the American Psychiatric Association. Is is correct therefore to describe homosexuality as a mental illness?

Even a cursory reading of the internet - including Yahoo Answers, Wikipedia, etc., shows a very poor standard of English. Apart from the usual bad grammar and poor writing, there are many invented or misused words, and slang. Why have people forgotten how to write English, and forgotten that written English is not the same as playground slang?
