  • I've have my phone about six months into a two year contract (Tmobile).?

I want to cancel, will TMobile make me give back my phone? I'm fine with paying the early cancellation fee, I just don't want to give up my phone.

  • Can you get a payday loan from multiple Moneytree's?

I need more than the 255 allowed in California, and I'd like to avoid going to multiple different companies and do the whole 1 hour application. Thx.

  • I have a tight hip, how long will it take, while doing yoga, to open up the tight hip.?

One of my hips is so tight, that it is causing knee pain in the opposite leg. I am doing yoga and using a foam roller at the gym to help open the hip up. I was wondering, in general, how long does it take to get a really tight hip back to normal flexibility? FYI, I am patient, and am not pushing my body to do anything strenuous or abnormal.

  • Direct TV HD receiver set at 720, 1080i, 1080p, TV says broadcasting in 480p?

I was helping a friend set up his new 50 Panasonic 1080p plasma, and we were stumped about something. Even though we went into the set up menu in the Direct TV HD receiver and unchecked 480p, then checked 720p, 1080i, and 1080p, when we hit 'Info' button on the TV remote control, the TV said that it was broadcasting a 480p signal. The receiver is hooked up to the TV versus HDMI. The picture looked good, but not great. Not as much definition as I've seen on other HDTVs.

    Thanks.

  • Anyone taken golf lessons from Golf Galaxy?

I'm thinking of taking lessons there, what'cha think? Worth it? Do they really help your game?

  • Golf lessons, grass or turf?

I am going to start taking golf lessons soon, but one thing I am concerned with is whether to go to a facility that has a grass driving range, or one that only has turf. A friend of mine keeps telling me, you don't play on turf, you shouldn't practice on it. I agree, but golf lessons tend to be cheaper at places with turf only.

  • what index lenses should I use for my high prescription?

I want the best possible vision, I don't care about looks. Could I use a 1.51 index lens with a prescription of -7.0 in both eyes?

Are higher indexes only better for cosmetic purposes?

  • My lasik conundrum?

My dry eye doctor is also a lasik surgeon, and he claims that I am perfectly eligible for no-blade lasik. Here’s why I’m skeptical: my scrimers score is 10 in my right eye, and 13 in my left. I have blepharitis which at this point is so bad I can’t wear contacts. My prescription is -7.25 in both eyes in my glasses.

Considering that I have read that a year after Lasik, half of your corneal nerves are still ‘dead’, am I crazy to follow his advice and get lasik? Does the no-blade really make that much of a difference? He seems to think that once the blepharitis is under control, I should be fine for lasik, as long as my corneas are deep enough. Any professionals/people who have had no blade lasik have any input?

  • Help with high-index glasses?

I have a prescription that is -7.00 is both eyes, and the last three pairs of glasses I have purchased have been awful because of distortion at the edges. I have heard that once you have a prescription this high, it is almost impossible to get a pair of glasses that will give you comfortable vision. I'm wondering if anyone with my prescription or worse could tell me if they indeed have found a comfortable, crisp pair of glasses and what index of lens did they use? What style frames? Did you go to a nationwide chain or to a small optometrist? I would like to actually have a frame of reference for what I should choose in my next pair before I plop down another $500. Thanks.

  • Question for people who work at Best Buy, Circuit City, all electronics stores.?

I was wondering if anyone would give me the skinny regarding why Panasonic TVs look so much better at Best Buy, and Samsungs look better at Frys.

I was told by a girl at Best Buy that the employees get hooked up by Panasonic for great deals on TVs, to encourage their employees to push Panasonics. The Panasonics looks very good, and the Samsung looked kinda dull. She wouldn't let me mess with the settings on the 50 inch plasmas because she said they were already perfectly calibrated. Right.

Then I go to Fry's, where they run Samsung ads all day on their display sets, and lo and behold, the Samsungs look amazing and the Panasonics look dull.

It's impossible to make a good decision about a HDTV, anyone with me?

  • Weird question about HDTV.?

Just got back from a friend's house, and he has a Vizio 50" LCD HDTV. The resolution on non-HD channels was to be expected, grainy, but OK. What I was really disappointed by was the fact that movies in HD, coming from his Direct TV box, looked normal. The detail that I expect from HD was not there at all, it looked like a normal picture on a standard TV. And when we were watching the Simpsons Movie, there was grainy areas around the edges of the characters. I have seen HD on other LCD sets that looked nothing short of amazing. What is the reason for the grainyness and the crappy picture, the TV or the signal? Is the signal from Direct TV inferior to other sources? I did notice he had it hooked up to his HDMI port, so that wasn't the isssue. It's really hard to judge HDTVs, and I was trying to resolve this issue because I want to buy a set soon.

  • How long should I avoid contacts if i have dry eyes?

I have read that wearing contact for a long time, 15 years in my case, can reduce corneal sensation that leads to dry eyes. If that is the case, how long should one go without contacts in order to give your eyes adequate time to heal?

  • Do I have blephartis?

Here's my condition, I have very dry eyes. Most days I can only tolerate contact for 4 to 6 hours. Some days I can wear them 10 hours, some days not at all. I have noticed my eyelashes matting together, and sometimes white bumps on my lower eyelids. But neither of these are pronounced and nobody would notice them unless you looked really hard.

Usually my eyes are dry in the morning when I wake up, then I throw some Systane in there, and they are better for a while. Then, about 4 to 6 hours later, they dry out again and I have to take out my contacts.

I have worn contacts for about 20 years, 10 of them with Acuvue where I wore them overnight and didn't take great care of my eyes.

I have tried every eyedrop on the planet, and they only serve to irritate my eyes in the long run. Once my eyes decide they are dry, there's nothing I can do to re-hydrate them. I also take Thera Tears omega 3 pills, which haven't seemed to help at all.

    Any input is greatly appreciated.

  • My car door lock will not lock.?

I have a 2001 ford focus, and the door lock will not lock. The lever inside the door is jammed, it won't move to engage the lock. Can I fix this myself or should I take it to a professional? What are some good sources of information to fix this problem myself? Thanks.

  • Could this be my car battery?

I have a 93 Integra, and I have an issue where about once or twice a week, I go to start the car, and the car will not turn over, it's just dead. Somtimes it happens first thing in the morning, sometimes it happens after I accidentally stall the car (my car idles really low). It can take anywhere from one hour to three hours to get the thing to start again if I leave it alone. I have been told it's not the battery, but most likely an electrical line, but I've checked all the connections and they look good, and when I put jumper cables on it this morning, it fired right up after not starting for many hours. Any suggestions?

  • What is the best eye drops for Blephartis?

I wear contacts, my prescription is so strong that I don't like wearing my glasses except when watching TV. I have been using Systane and Soothe, I like them both, but I was just wondering what eye drops are best for people with blephartis. Thanks.

  • I've been taking Thera Tears over 7 weeks now, no relief for my dry eyes.?

I live in San Diego, and during the week of the fires my eyes became severely dried out, and they haven't improved at all since then. I wear contacts, and I have such a high prescription I need them for proper vision. I started taking Thera Tears about 7 weeks ago, after quitting taking them for about two months, and my eyes have shown zero improvement. The first time I took the pills, in almost a week I had such improvement I declared them a miracle. This go around, nothing. My eyesight is ruining my life right now, as I can't wear my contacts at all without irritation in the morning and blurred vision starting in the afternoon. ANY ADVICE WILL HELP, preferably from a professional.

Also, PLEASE don't advise me to consult my doctor. Her ineptitude is what is making me seek advice on here in the first place. Thanks.

  • Question about dry eyes and contact lens wear?

I have dry eyes, and I have read that long term contact lens wear, especially when worn overnight, can decrease your the senstivity of your corneas and you don't blink as much as you should. My question is, if I take my contacts out for an extended period of time, can I expect my eyes to heal? How long does this process take? How long can I wear my contacts on a daily basis, yet give my eyes enough of a break to heal?

Any recommended course of action? Thanks, greatly appreciated.

I've read this many times, but never had it explained to me why it's better to use drop sparingly.
