  • "Mom! Epic Breakfast! Carson calling out to you!" Sign of abuse?

Carson is the baby of the family. The second boy of three kids. The oldest girl is appreciated. The middle kid is the coveted crowned prince of the family. Then Carson was born.. He was not appreciated.. Maybe secretly unwanted?? Carson's daddy does worse than ignore him.. He has a lot of disdain. Will play Wii with the crowned prince and the two act almost like an inappropriate man/boy love fest.. But Carson is locked in his room.. The crowned prince says, "because I don't like him and me and my daddy don't want him around".

Carson no longer makes eye contact with others, he asks his crowned prince brother what he can order when out to eat. The stories are legendary.

I think Carson is showing signs of dissociative disorder.. To be heard and not ignored.. To think of himself in the third person.

Our family now talks in secret about the suspected abuses... From primarily the father.. The mother thinks her husband is a stellar father for giving so much time to the crowned prince.. And ACCEPTS that the last boy is a trouble maker..

Several of us have called CPS and found out that emotional abuse is "so sad, too bad". What matters is food, shelter, heat, etc. even the suspiciousness of the crowned prince and the father going further than close chub.. They need evidence and clear forensic interviews..

Little Carson said to us.. "How come you're so nice and so happy to me?" He knows.. He has no value.. Argh!

What can be done? Carson's grandmother talked to her daughter, and all hell broke loose..

I wish Carson had a Guardian Angel who could lift him out of the hell of his family..

His family is so dense.. They think by denying Carson love and attention.. Will work to raise him..

I can barley take it. What can be done to save a sweet just turned six year old??

  • A "Favorite Child" who is coddled and loved over and above other kids?

Someone I know is a pretty sound and solid person.. unless you talk about their first born son. The oldest girl is now just tolerated at best, and the last and second child, a little boy is treated with disdain, ignored, and/or verbally and emotionally abused.

When the mother was confronted.. she claimed that the littlest boy didn't need their attention, he was fine. But, defended and rationalized that the favored son needed extra attention. The other day she actually said, "He is my boy! He is our perfect kid1 We just love him more than anything! He is so sweet and loving!".

This sweet and loving boy.. hates his little brother and does terrible things. This sweet and loving boy at 8-years old, must sit next to, sit on, hold hands, be close to his parents, especially his dad. And, it works. He is manipulative and the most hateful child when it comes to sharing his parents.

The little boy who is only five years old is the family dumping ground. It is so heart breaking, that I can no longer listen to the parents.. I am broken when I think of the little guy.

They are active at their school and church.. yet as far as we know, nobody has noticed the disdain of their youngest.. who always walks behind, and is never honored for a birthday or an achievement. He is becoming almost depressed and is starting to cling to his parents' legs and ask to be held too.. ugh.. so heart breaking.. but they cannot put their 8-year old down to hold the 5-year old.

I am praying.. I am hoping.. but is there anything that can be done? The mother's eyes are shut.. but so is her heart.. so gross.

I cannot bear to see the little one treated so cruel..

Oh,, the 8-year old is having a party for his 9th birthday.. he is having NO kids, not even cousins! He wants adults only, and aunts and uncles with kids are not invited!! The parents don't think it is weird..

I feel like I need to go scream in their faces... (don't worry, I won't).. But what can be done??

  • Is it Emotionally Harmful for a mother to covet, care, and love dogs more than her child?

One of my daughter's classmates has a mother who LOVES Greyhounds. She owns 8 of them. And does Greyhound Rescue too.

She has a little girl who just turned eight. She told me that the dogs didn't like the little girl when she was a baby and toddler. She said they growled, nipped, bit, and cornered the little girl. I was shocked. She then explained to me that the child would have to earn her position in the pack.

I was horrified. Now, this mother is moving out of their home and taking the girl out of her school, and away from the safe places at school.. So the dogs will have more space and be more comfortable.

This woman knows that I do not share her philosophies on parenting. She chides that she is an officer in the local Mensa Club, and I am a jerk.

Can this woman be such a high IQ, that it's gone too far, and she is emotionally stupid, immature, or just plain hateful to her one and only child??

I am so worried for this little girl! She has no value to the mother, and he dogs treat her like the lowest form of life.

What do you think.. Would CPS get involved? Or is this another form of the ACLU's fight to raise children in the lifestyle of it's parents?

(the father is 70 year's old, retired AF, and sits around like a bump on a log. If he even sneezes wrong, this woman chews him out.. And the dogs don't like him either.. However, he does seem to like his rum bottles)

  • AAA Trip Tiks are discontinued. Where else might we get one for our trip?

We know we can go online, and we have the three AAA iPhone Apps, but we want the time honored and fun Trip Tiks that have been traveling with us for over 50 years.

The AAA lady I just talked to was a b*tch, and acted like I wanted her to donate her ovaries to a half dying walrus.. She kept saying, "honey, you can have someone else go online for you if you're unable or don't have a computer.." She knew I have a computer, she knew I could download a map, but what the b*tch refused to acknowledge is that she was "playing" me, and what we want is a Trip Tik!!

So, we are ready to throw AAA to the curb after membership since 1973, and get someone else. But, we want the Trip Tik option.

Does anyone else still have them..??

  • What would you eat if you needed a quick hunger fix?

I get so hungry in the afternoons! Dinner isn't until 6:30pm or 7:00pm, and I cannot wait to eat. I am really hungry!

I don't want to eat junk food.. which is what I usually gravitate towards.. quick, easy, good. I want to eat something that satisfies my hunger AND is quick and easy, and tastes good.

    Thanks.

  • We are going with Wii, now what do we buy?

Just asked what gaming modality was best, and Wii came out the clear winner.

Now, what do we need to get to have at least two people play the game, docking stations? Rechargers with rechargable batteries? Fans? What do we need for movement and all the fun?

We are going to get the basic bundle that has Resort Sports and Sports and we will buy the Disney Princess game and the Dance game.

    So, give me the list..

    Thanks!

  • Can a husband give a wife of 50 years a $1.00 a year if he dies?

My friend has been married to a man for 52 years. He died at age 76 about a month ago. Although they had gone to an attorney and made a will that gave their estate to each other upon the other's death, and if both of them died, their estate was to be equally divided between their four children.

Well, apparently almost three years ago, he went to a different attorney and filed a new will! Didn't include his wife in the making of it at all. Their estate was primarily in joint property, but several financial funds were in his name and a POD to her. Well, he changed all that and didn't tell her. His NEW and not so improved will gives her $1.00 a year and that is IT!

His best friend is a decent man and said he had no idea this happened. So, he said she would have to hire an attorney for herself and although the new will is a twisted weird document, it appears she is going to have to move out of their 3 million dollar home and it will be sold as is, and all the money gotten is to be donated to an university. She gets the one buck a year! Is this legal? Can a husband of this many DECADES just write a wife out of a will??

I should also remark that for the last five years, he has shown signs of dementia. Telling and retelling the same story at dinner parties, when he went to take a driver's test he had to have yellow stickies with notes of what to do. He would get lost driving home from shopping.. that sort of thing. Although, his doctor never did a dementia profile or diagnose him with it. Maybe he was loosing his mind. But, what kind of attorney would do this? What kind of husband!

They had a GOOD marriage. He wouldn't go anywhere without her and always called her his "snuckums" and he was affectionate! I've been there friend for 42 of their years of marriage.. I am STUNNED!

  • What's the best cheap shampoo and conditioner to use?

I have bought Pantene, our health food store's private label, Pert, Neuetrogena, TRESemme, Suave, and a few others. But, all I want is a shampoo and conditioner that will not make my hair go flat and limp greasy, or fly away electric dry, or make my scalp feel gnarly waxy..

    What is good out there?

  • What would you add to the salad?

I am going to do a mixed greens salad for dinner. I have lots of leftover turkey breast and apple wood smoked ham, along with some good greens.

I cannot serve nuts or anything with seeds, or peelings attached to my old naggy shrunken dreary mother-in-law. (Yep, I don't like her at all.. ho humm..).

I have access to the store and I want to have this be an entree salad. My mind closes down when I have to think about what to feed her, so help me out here!

    Thanks!

  • Do You Know Where Kayleah Wilson Is?

Kayleah Wilson was an active and happy 12 year old from Greeley, Colorado. She is missing.

Some people are very critical because of the rumor she had a 17 year old boyfriend. Alert! Kayleah's older brother is 17 years old and Kayleah had a crush on one of his friends. A totally normal response for a 12 year old girl. So, drop the rumor and focus on where she is!

Do YOU know where she is? Do YOU have any tips for the FBI or the Greeley Police Department?
