The sound on the computer when playing audio (mostly itunes used) or video files goes into a wierd echo. The odd thing is you might get 10 seconds of normal and then it turns into total gibberish. The computer itself has gone slow. The virus scanner says all clean.

We about to get our windows and doors replaced ( UK ) and have been given various tales about the qualities and properties of each. To get a straight answer to a simple question is beyond the ability of the salesman.

Which one is the powder based and which one the Oil based ?

Which one is the version that discolours over time ?

Why the difference ?

Which one does the job best ?

Where do you go to find out where the local dog shows are at? and also information with breeding?

On what evidence do you base your conclusions ?

Do you believe they are on trial by Media ?

If you were President Truman in 1945, knowing that:

a)The defeat of the Japanese was a matter of time and lives.

b)The invasion of the Home Islands would have created a suicidal defence against any invading force prepared to take heavy casulties beyond reason.

c)Any invasion force facing such fierce resistance would pay a terrible price in lives (which you had sworn an oath to protect).

d)Russian influence would increase in Asia as it had in post war Europe as Stalin was about to honour his treaty obligations now that Germany had been defeated.

e)You had at your disposal a weapon of incredible destructive power, which if used may well bring about an early victory and keep the Soviet war machine from being directed against former allies should the balance of world politics change.

f)That each weapon if used would destroy a complete city, kill thousands upon thousands of civilians instantly, maiming and wounding many thousands more possibly for generations to come.

What is the difference between light and hard ?

Who else is fed up with the whinging about a 'smoking ban being an infringment of their human rights and civil liberties' ?

What about the rights of those who choose not to smoke ?

Should the ban be strictly enforced from day 1 ?

My wife has had the Mirena IUD fitted 3 1/2 months ago. Since having it fitted she has been bleeding near constantly, like having a normal period but for what seems like an eternity. Today she has been getting stomach cramps especially when she coughs (Getting over a chest infection at the moment). She has had swabs taken and checked for any infections which have proved negative. She has had the string checked and that is all okay. Any suggestions on what could be the matter as she is feeling very down at the moment, in discomfort and the constant bleeding is leaving her feeling drained.

She is forever wiping her nose on her sleve as soon as our backs are turned. When you try to get her to blow she sniffs or makes a daft snorting sound.

She is prone to chest infections and is the most stubborn child you can ever imagine.

When we don't use the Jacuzzi function for a while and the turn it on lots of little black flakes of God knows what. At the moment we fill the bath up every now and then and put in sterilising tablet (for babies bottles) we then leave it running for about 5 minutes. Also what are the black flakes made of ?
