Is there a Wallace and Gromit/Shaun the Sheep shop in London?
I've always loved Wallace and Gromit and have recently discovered the Shaun the Sheep show (babysitting a 2 year old brings about those kinds of discoveries). I'm going to London at the end of the year and would like to know if there happens to be a Wallace and Gromit shop or a Shaun the Sheep shop over there that I could go and buy merchandise from? I know you can get online, but seeing as their online shop sells in pounds, I assume that they're based in the UK somewhere and would like to know if they have an actual shop or if it's just an online business.
Preferably somewhere actually in London as I'm not going out of the main city, so if it's in a far out place like Oxford or Yorkshire (my parents said there used to be a shop there), that's not going to be possible for me. Sorry if my geography is a bit messed up, I don't really know much about the UK except for London.
Thank you! :)
5 AnswersLondon7 years agoAny way to do a reverse copy in iTunes - to copy from my iPod to iTunes?
My laptop is being wiped tomorrow and my iTunes uninstalled. My ipod has tons of complicated playlists that I really don't want to have to redo. I can reinstall iTunes and copy all my music into it, I do have all the music in my My Music folder, but it'd be ideal for me if there was some way to plug my iPod in and then have iTunes take all the music off of my iPod, so that the playlists will be restored without me having to re-make them all. Does that make sense? Like a reverse copy from iPod to new iTunes. Is that possible?
Thank you
2 AnswersMusic & Music Players7 years agoI want to change my yahoo mail address. Is there a way to keep all my emails?
I want to change my actual email address, so I'm presuming I must start a new account. Is there any way to keep all emails I've received up to now, to transfer them over to the new account, without me having to forward them all myself to the new one? I understand that you can set it so that any new emails coming in to the old account will be forwarded to the new one, but I would like to keep my mail history and don't want to have to keep logging into the old account to look at old emails. There are too many necessary old emails (literally thousands) for me to forward to the new account.
1 AnswerOther - Yahoo Mail8 years agoHow to set up a slideshow, not using Powerpoint?
My birthday is coming up and there's going to be a slideshow of pictures of me since I was born up until now, being projected into the background of the party the whole night. There are about 600 photos so I would really rather not have to put them into a powerpoint to get them in order, but I can't seem to find any other quick way to make them into a slideshow. They have to be in a certain order. The Windows Photo Viewer automatic slideshow doesn't allow me to order the photos, and it doesn't change photos automatically after a few seconds either - you have to click your mouse to swap between photos, and obviously someone isn't going to sit there doing that, so it has to be on a timer between photos. Is there any way to get photo viewer to do this, or is there a programme I can download for free that will?
Thanks in advance
2 AnswersSoftware8 years agoSuperficial cuts have yellowing on the skin surrounding them?
I have about 50 or so superficial cuts on my thigh and I've noticed that the edges of each one is yellow. This yellow colour extends half a centimetre from the edges of each one. I know that they're not infected, so was hoping someone could tell me why they're yellow? This has never happened before, and I've had hundreds of cuts like these before. Is it bruising? The cuts aren't sore to press down on, as a bruise usually is. They were made four days ago. I only mentioned how may there are, in case that's relevant.
Just to clear some things up, so that I don't get answers saying all the things I already know:
Yes, I did them myself. No, I don't need to be told that it's stupid. Yes, I am getting professional help. Yes, I know it's dangerous. I know how to look after them. I've had enough of them to know by now what an infected cut looks like versus a not infected one. These ones aren't infected, and they're not deep at all. The deep ones don't have a yellow outline. I haven't given them any particular first aid attention, which I know I should do, but I never do that. They have been washed clean and I'm wearing long pants and not letting any dirt get near them. I do this with every cut I have and I've only had infections a couple of times, because they were very deep. Please don't tell me I'm stupid. Please can the answers be only about what this yellowing could mean.
Thank you.
2 AnswersInjuries8 years agoWhy does general anaesthetic not affect me?
I've had a general anaesthetic at various points in my life. I had about 5 by the time I was 7 years old, and since then I've had 3 more (I'm 20 now), with the latest one less than a month ago. I've personally never had any side effects of the anaesthetic, or at least no noticeable ones. I'm obviously a bit sleepy when I wake up, but I'm ready to go soon afterwards and I don't feel tired or like I need lots of sleep, and I'm perfectly fine within hours and go back to life as normal (bar the restrictions from the actual operation eg. no exercise because of appendix etc.). The amount of time I've been under each time is usually between 40 minutes to 2 hours.
But now my friend had an operation that was an hour long and it's the next day and she's still so sleepy, can barely do anything etc. and she didn't have any kind of super invasive surgery (she had an infection removed from her breast tissue) whereas I've had surgery taking cysts off my ovaries, ear operations, eye operations, and ones that just seem like they would be a bit more invasive.
Anyways, I was wondering why she is faring so much worse than I am? Is my body maybe used to anaesthetic by now? I'm a little bit more fit than her, but not much. We're both healthy. I know it's probably a hard question to answer, not knowing our medical histories or anything, so I understand if an answer isn't available, I just thought I'd ask in case there's actually a pretty simple explanation
3 AnswersMedicine8 years agoI got my wisdom teeth out a week ago and now all my other teeth are really sensitive?
All four wisdoms were taken out under GA a week ago and I haven't been able to come off the painkillers yet because my other teeth are so sensitive now. They weren't before. But now whenever I put anything sweet into my mouth all of my bottom teeth ache and they're so painful, it's literally bringing me to tears, and I have a very high pain tolerance (as in I don't flinch getting tattoos), which shows how bad it is if I'm crying over this pain. I have a dentist appointment on the 9th with the dentist who removed the wisdoms, so I'll ask him about it then, but I was wondering if this is normal? I wasn't able to brush my teeth for a few days after having the wisdoms out, but I did use a prescribed strong anti-bacterial mouth wash and I was barely eating any food anyways, but could that have made holes in my other teeth (the not brushing)? I think I can get by continuing on pain killers for the next few days, or should I see someone sooner?
3 AnswersDental8 years agoWhat books are these?
I read two books in primary school that I can't for the life of me remember the titles of, and I was hoping someone could help me!
The first one is about this small boy who's sent to live with this group of old people (I'm pretty sure they call their place Lag Hall, and that might be in the title?) and he lives in a separate little tower from their house. He then discovers that they're actually criminals who sneak out at night and rob places. He offers to join them and help them by climbing through windows that only a small child can fit through. At some point he gets caught and put in juvi, and the old people rescue him. I think there was also something about animals being tested in a lab, and robbing some super rich old guy's house. I used to think it was titled "The Lags of Lag Hall" but I can't find that as a book on any website. He also at some stage in the book runs a fruit and veggie stall on the side of the road.
The second book is for young children and it's about a mother who gives birth to twins. The first baby was born without her even noticing (yeah, for very small kids), without any pain, and had blonde hair and blue eyes. But the second twin had black hair and green eyes and caused her a lot of pain during birth. The blonde one was a little angel during infancy, and the black haired one was a devil. The whole point was that the one was good and the other "evil." It ends with the black haired one killing the blonde haired one by dangling her over the ledge of a building (I think), and then it somehow ends up that the child who survives has one green eye and one blue eye and is now actually both children combined and goes on to be a normal kid (ie. both good and bad)
Thanks so much!!

4 AnswersSoftware8 years agoHow to contact Lindsay Lohan in 2013?
Does anyone know of an address to send a letter to Lindsay Lohan in 2013? I assume her old addresses such as agents etc. wouldn't count anymore as she's been dropped by pretty much everyone. I don't need any wise-crack answers telling me about how awful she is and what a waste of time it would be. I know what she's done, don't need the newsflash thanks.
Much appreciated :)
4 AnswersCelebrities8 years agoHow far should I run/walk each week?
I'm a 20 year old female, 166cm in height and weighing 63kg, and I go to gym at least 5 days a week to work out with weights. I like to run/walk also at least 5 days a week and am wondering what sort of distances I should be doing. I have taken part in some 21km races but am not planning on doing any very soon. My main aim is to increase my fitness and to just stay healthy. My fitness is quite low at the moment though, and I have exercise-induced asthma (mild) so when I go for a run I will walk half of the distance that I do (fast walking though). I know that no one will be able to tell me exactly how far I should run, but I'd appreciate an estimate.
5 AnswersRunning8 years agoHow can I spike the amount of iron in my blood quickly?
I usually have low iron which means that I cannot donate blood and I've tried changing my diet to make my iron levels go up but no joy. I am desparate to donate blood though and there will be a blood drive close to where I live on a particular date and I was wondering if there is any way to get my iron up for just long enough to donate? It's always only just below the level required. Please don't give me an answer about how it might be unhealthy or anything like that - I just want to know how to get my iron up. I have liquid iron I can take but how much should I take and how soon before it?
4 AnswersOther - General Health Care8 years agoHow do I change the text message tone on my Samsung Galaxy S2 to something I've downloaded?
I downloaded a tone and it's on my phone but I can't find a way to make it my text message tone, is there a way to? I've moved the tone into the folder My Files/Media/Audio/Notifications but it doesn't come up in the selections when I change the tone in message settings. I've also tried having it in just the folder audio, without having it in notifications, but that doesn't work either. Is there any way to change it because I don't like the generic tones that the phone comes with.
2 AnswersCell Phones & Plans8 years agoHow do I connect my Samsung S2 to my laptop?
The phone didn't come with a USB cable but I have one from my old Nokia which fits into the Samsung but when I put it in it doesn't connect anything (nothing comes up in devices with removable storage in My Computer). I don't have Wi-Fi on my computer so I can connect using that Kies thing but I really need to be able to get onto it so I can transfer songs from my computer onto the phone to use. Basically, is there any way at all to plug the phone into my computer. The bluetooth on my computer doesn't work.
1 AnswerLaptops & Notebooks8 years agoHow long can you delay your period for with the pill without it being unhealthy?
I'm asking this just out of curiosity - I only ever delay mine for a week at most if I need to (eg. going on holiday etc.) and that's not very often (maybe four times a year), so I never delay it for a whole month more. But I'm curious as to how long you'd be able to delay it before it becomes unhealthy to continue doing so. Could you delay it for a year or a couple of months? I'm not planning on trying this at all so I don't need answers telling me not to do it, I'm just really curious as to what happens if you delay it for too long and how long is that too long?
3 AnswersWomen's Health8 years agoHow do I transfer text messages from my Nokia X3 to my pc?
I don't want to make a backup of them, I want to copy the actual text so that when I leave this phone (in Jan) for a new one I'll have the messages on my computer. I've done it before but can't remember how and google search isn't bringing up anything useful.
At the beginning of this year I managed to copy all of my messages at the time out into an Excel spreadsheet. For some reason when I double clicked on the messages they were transferred directly into Excel where I could save them as a spreadsheet there. So I'm looking to do exactly the same thing now. When I open Nokia PC suite and click on the messages thing it doesn't show my inbox, it just shows an option to create a new message or create a new contact.
I'm desperate to find out how to do this! The only answers I'm looking for are ones that allow me to copy the exact text into Excel or Word or some programme - not to make a backup that can then be opened on the phone.
Thanks so much!
Cell Phones & Plans8 years agoSamsung Ace Advance vs. Samsung Gio?
I'm getting a new phone and it's between the Samsung Ace Advance and the Samsung Gio. It'll be on a contract so I'm going to be stuck with this phone for 2 years so into consideration must come how long the phone generally lasts for. These are the only two options that I can afford so please don't suggest other phones because ones that cost less than this I have ruled out. So when answering could we please stick to these two phones only, no other brand either, I'm going for Samsung.
I mainly use my phone for calls (I've heard that the Ace Advance has an echo, can anyone confirm?), for browsing the internet and for messaging people. The internet use I get out of it is facebook every now and again but I mainly use the internet on my phone for reading stories online, which is why for example I've decided against the Pocket as apparently the pixels aren't very good. Taking nice photos would be great, but not essential.
Thank you so much if you have any advice for me :)
1 AnswerCell Phones & Plans8 years agoWhere can I download free audiobooks, that are actually free?
I don't want anywhere like audible where you have to sign up for a 30 day trial where you'll get one free. I don't want to have to give my details to anyone. I'm basically looking for a site like librivox.com where you can search and download without any hassles or filling out any form. I'm looking for a site that has more up to date books than librivox though, specifically Lord of the Rings, Lord of the Flies and Animal Farm. Does anyone know of a place like this? Librivox stocks only very, very old books, such as the Brontes etc.
I realise that there maybe won't be somewhere like I'm looking for, but would appreciate it if anyone could point me in the right direction.

2 AnswersHeart Diseases9 years agoWhat movie is this? About the Nazis I think?
I watched a movie a little while ago and cannot for the life of me remember the name of it.
It started off with a man getting arrested and he was a brilliant forger of money. He was Jewish I think, which is why he was arrested because as far as I remember it was during the holocaust. He was saved from the concentration camps when the German people found out his trade and asked him to make them a template for the dollar as it was a currency that they really wanted to be able to copy but hadn't been able to yet. An elite group of people were chosen to work on this and one of them said that he knew how to do this job but he actually didn't, he said it to escape the concentration camps and then he was found out.
They managed to get the template right but knew that if they gave it over they'd be helping the Germans and they'd be put into concentration camps so they destroyed the evidence that they'd got it. Some guy got really sick and they hid that from the guards but the guards found out and took him outside and shot him.
That's everything that I can remember of it!
I will be so grateful if someone knows which movie this is!
Sorry but I'm sure all of the bits I mentioned above aren't in chronological order.
