I have a Hydro Farm 1000 watt HPS ballast & it isn't lighting the light very well. It's not real dim but is dimmer than it was. It was very bright. I've tried changing the socket, cord & bulb. Same deal. I think the ballast is bad & am an electrician but don't know how to test a ballast. Do you ???

One of the guys that I work with, has told us that bees "wake up" in the winter time & fly around a little in order to take a "dump". As you have probably suspected by now, I think he's full of the same thing he says the bees are. Is there any truth to this? This guy has told some outrageous stories that we've called him on but this is something that none of us know anything about. I believe he called it a "elimination flight". Oh by the way, I live in Michigan so, its not like winter is a summery time, it's pretty cold & we get quite a bit of snow.

I have a grapefruit tree that I've been growing for about 10 years . I put it outside in the summer & bring it in during the winter months. Unfortunately its now about 8 feet tall & I'd like to plant it outside but don't want to kill it. If it won't survive, I'll trim it down to a reasonable size & just bring it back inside. Whadda ya think ???
