  • whats this film? Water creatures/monsters?

I think it happens to some high school kids, one of em turns into a monster or something and then the school floods or something and then some of the monsters show up (cuz of the water) and the principle puts the kids in cages so that the monsters cant get them and at the very end of the film u see like the army or smth releasing the monsters they caught into the ocean. thanks

  • UCAS help, how many universities 'reply'?

ok so i was signing doing some research on applying through UCAS for universities in the UK, and apparently i can only make 5 choices about universities to apply to. They said something about a sure entry or insurance university, like if you can't make it to your first choice you have to try with ur second choice or something. my question is like if i sign up for oxford and imperial college of london, but neither of them want to give me a chance, will i get a reply from anyone of the other 3 universities i chose to apply to through UCAS?

  • Gaining weight, speed, skills in Rugby?

Im a 16 year old boy playing rugby at high school level. I'm 5'8", about 68 kg. I was wondering HOW i should train, should i train speed? agility? endurance? strength? power?

Obviously all, but how? Should i focus on a certain aspect for a month? then switch aspects, or do a little every day/every other day?

Apart from answering the How question i'd be very thankful if u could provide with maybe the best example/way to get stronger, faster, more agile etc etc.

This is all because i don't feel i'm bad at rugby, but i wanna take my level a little higher...

    Thanks

  • Why is Michalak so good?

Okay, this isn't about if he's the best or whatever, he's good enough to play at the top level of rugby, so i just wanna know, why is he so good? He's one of my idols, cuz he's not so big, like me and i really want to get to higher levels of rugby. Is it his defense, his kicking? his running? Can someone just tell me what makes him tick? If you don't know perhaps you can tell me about george gregan, or Ellissalde? Or anyone thats not that big thats a good player.

    Thanks

  • Ripping Triceps while Training Traps?

I was working out my traps by doing shoulder shrugs. Now i think i did correct technique- shoulders back, arms straight down. I was carrying only 7 kg per arm, my traps are more than capable of that. However when i shrug my right trap i feel a pulling sensation in my right tricep area. Now its not just any pulling feeling. Its like the kind of feeling when u rip up a sheet of paper. Theres a bit of pain too. Am i ripping my tricep? Is this due to a lack of rest (i did my arms workout the day before) too heavy weights? or what? Theres nothing wrong with my left tricep, yet i train them symmetrically and treat them the same.

  • workout but no pains or aches?

i'm a 15 year old boy trying to lift some weights to gain strength and mass, whenever i do some new exercises, my muscles will ache a ton the next day, but sometimes, when i do like some arm excercises, like curls, i feel no ache in the day after my workout, sure, it aches a ton after the workout, but a few hours after it feels fine ( i thought something was wrong, so i increased my weights, but i got the same results). whereas, 3 days ago i did dumbbell flys for the first time in my life, my chest is still aching as a result?

    any idea on whats wrong?

should i increase my weights, change exercises or what?

  • good rugby position?

I'm 15 years old, 56 kilos i got high metabolism, how can i gain weight?

also, i'm not super fast, but i guess better than average, my tackles aren't bad, my fitness isn't excellent but i can make through a full match pretty well, my agility isn't very good either.

i've been tested as no. 8 scrumhalf, wing and outside center, i stay as scrumhalf most often. Is there any other position that i may be better at? i like joining rucks more than i like passing out balls. But i get frustrated with the lack of action i get because i have to "follow the ball" so it starts with me attacking the scrumhalf, then the flyhalf, follows down the back line, its tiring, and i don't get to tackle.

Also, how could i gain weight, and muscle

  • Getting back in shape and better at rugby?

    I'm 5 foot 8 or 1 m 70 124 pounds or 55 kg. I'm 15 years old playing at school and at club level.

Now i want to be all over better- speed strength and explosiveness.

Also recently, i had my chest stamped on which stopped my trainings. now i need to get back in shape, theres still feel a bit of discomfort though in my chest.

ignoring that though, what are ways for me to get faster, stronger and bigger all for more impact? I bought protein powder too

I've been looking for a bit of a weights workout (the only thing not provided by my school and club) so do you know any exercises that i can do at home with dumbbells, a bench, a pullup bar and ankle weights. So that i could do these exercises as a workout, like how many sets, how many reps. I don't think i'm weak, since some exercises like sit ups, i can do again and again. Anyways thanks for any ideas for me to get stronger (upper body, legs, core stability) i haven't been able to find a well developed workout to follow.

  • chest pain, heart problems?

i've been playing rugby for some while, while doing pushups and stuff, sometimes i find that my chest hurts. I asked a doctor about it, he said he heard no heart murmurs, then they checked me using this thing with lots of wires to check my pulse in many parts of my body, after checking the results they found i was fine. my heartbeat was something like 55 at the time, theres not excess pressure either. The doctor said that it may be because my chest muscles aren't growing at the same pace. I just want to make sure this is true, and that i don't have heart problems. Because if i had heart problems i would probably know already right? or is it not obvious?

  • scrumhalf rugby?

I play scrum half for my school in the u-17 competition. I'm quite tall for my age group, and not too big though. I'm 1m 70 or 5 foot 8 and 120 pounds or 54 kilos. Many of the schools we play like to use their forwards a lot. My tackles aren't bad against forwards or backs running where i can just get their legs. But when they get low, and crash, and since i'm tall, i always end up on top either pushing upwards, pushing them back or trying to pull them down. Sometimes they can push me quite far before i get support, is there a way i can position myself so that i can get the forwards low real quick before they have time to gain momentum? and what are ways to hit them harder

  • building explosive power for Rugby?

I'm 15 years old, playing in the backline.

I'm quite skinny and think that my best luck lies in speed and nimbleness, except I don't think that currently my acceleration is as good as it can be. I live in Singapore, where there isn't much space, so I was wondering if there are ways to train explosiveness at home without machines, and how to do it on fields without carts and stuff.

  • Gaining weight and muscle for rugby?

I started playing rugby at the age of 13 when I moved to Singapore, I'm now 15 years old, 120 pounds or 55 kilos and and 1.70 meters or about 5' 8". My weight is almost the same as it was when I arrived in Singapore from America. I'm not sure if it's the weather or genetics, but I have been trying to gain weight for quite a while, for my rugby with almost no results. I also want to gain muscle in my whole body, except I have been advised not to start weight training until my body is fully grown. Any advise is appreciated.
