it is a kenmore coldspot 58587892.

manufactured in 05-99 - so it is 14 years old.

Here is the issue: about 6 weeks ago, it stopped getting cold. i took a shopvac and coil brush to the coils underneath. I then cranked the temperature up and it cooled down and worked. The problem has been that it is progressively getting bad again. I have been unable to find the "sweet spot" to get the freezer to freeze but not get so cold that everything is rock-solid... and it has been freezing things in the refrigerator side - lettuce, carrots, tea, sour cream, eggs, things like that

it is taking more to cool it... in fact, we have the temperature dial all the way up now

I am not sure whether to pay a guy $75 to come look at it or fix it myself... or if i just need to replace it.

Any advice is appreciated.

My PT Cruiser would lock automatically at 15mph. I sent the car in for a bad starter and it was returned and the doors no longer lock automatically. any ideas on what is happening?

My laptop will not read or write from my optical drive.

It shows up in my WIndows XP Device Manager as not working.

I have tried to update drivers, not working.

I have installed a new drive, not working.

I have inserted my XP cd and it will boot to the drive and let me reinstall XP.

So, it is a driver/software issue...

how do i resolve it?

I have a computer - an HP desktop that I have determined the SATA Bus has went out. I come to this reasoning some by going to the BIOS and none of the drives show up(HDD or CD)

Anyway, I ordered a PCIe SATA card and plugged in the hard drive and CD and it boots to the HDD but blue screens after the Windows splash screen shows up.

Am i missing something?

My laptop worked perfectly until it was dropped.

the LCD appeared to be bad so i replaced it with a new one. this worked for a few hours and it wend white on the bottom half of the lcd. So i replaced the power inverter.

same problem.

i get great video until the windows login screen comes up. then i get the normal screen on the top half and white on the bottom.

I have a Windows 7 machine. I have taken my Windows XP hard drive out of my old computer to take my pictures, music and documents off of it. The problem is when i try to copy them to my new computer it gives me a file permission error. Any help?

next layer 2 pieces of Ham - the wide kind about 3.5 inches by 6

then i put on 8 pieces of pepperoni

shredded pizza cheese mixture - probably 2/3 cup

about 1/2 cup cole slaw mix - no sauce - just the cabbage and carrots

probably 2 tbsp of mayonaise

it was pretty good.

it works within a half hour.

who would you start?

on my car the headlights power on by a pull switch on the dashboard.

next to that switch is a foglight switch.

when i pull the headlights on, they do not come on.

the fog lights and yellow lights are on when the fog light switch is on.

i can get high beams to work by pulling on the turn signal.

i have checked all the fuses and they are good. i have checked the bulbs and they are good.

where do i go from here?

my turn signals and hazard lights do not flash.

My last question has good responses, but i have another question....

it appears that there are 2 flash units... one is under the hood in the fuse/relay box and the oher is near the steering column. Why are there 2? could both be bad? i have tried switching them out individually and no luck

My durango is having some issues with the blinkers. When i use the blinker or road hazards, the lights come on outside ad on the panel but they never blink.

i have done the following to resolve the issues:

* checked the bulbs and all are good

* purchased a flasher and installed it - it did not fix the problem.

There were two places that the flasher unit could be installed - first was under the hood in the fuse/relay box. the second was under the dashboard - i tried both spots and neither corrected the issue.

I have a 1998 dodge durango. When i am on the highway with a full tank, it will pop up low fuel, the gauge will drop to E and then a second later it will pop up to F.

the second thing is that it has electric windows.

I shut the door and the window dropped down into the door. i took the panel and the plastic off and found a halfround plastic piece in there that either broke or fell off. what do i need to do to fix it?

i'll try to give as many details as possible...

i live in a split entry house... there is upstairs plumbing and downstairs. most of the downstairs is in underground.

so the plumbing was backing up and plunging was not working and i was getting water in the basement. so i took out a cleanout end and tried to snake it with a hand crank snake ... didnt work so i shoved a long stick in and found the problem. i managed to push the clog past the elbow and it fell through to the bottom of the vertical pipe.

there is a cleanout there so i opened it up and i saw what appeared to be a rock. i couldnt get to it so i decided to try to smash it. well i jammed it in there a bit further.

the only thing i can think of is that it was tile cement and drywall compound that over time clogged it.

then when toilet paper, or garbage disposal is used it backs up.

what can i use to break that down. i cant reach it or get to it with anything i have.

is there some liquid or powder or something that will break that down?
