F=(1/2)kx^2, and if so, is F just mg?

Or if I should use this equation:

E=KE(i)+GPE(i)+SPE(i)= KE(f) + GPE(f) + SPE(f)

Ok so I am knitting a hat on circular needles. I purchased my circular needle at Walmart and they only had one size for the cable I think it might be 24" or else 20 or something. Anyways so I am decreasing, but I think the cable is too long to finish it off. Is there anything I can do? Or should I just keep trying it with the long cable?

Ok so I tried to go vegitarian and lasted about two weeks. I always felt tired, lacking in stamina. I do think that animals are meant to be eaten, but definately not as much as we eat them. I have a veggie day once each week, sometimes two or three times and I feel better than ever. So it has made me question how healthy it really is? Maybe I just have meat eating genetics or something. what are your opinions, did you feel bad in the pregression from meat eater to vegitarian?
