sorry if this sounds offensive, but I just have a few questions...

1) if a person converts to Islam, and they used to consume pork and alcohol, is there some spiritual purification process they go through?

2) is it considered blasphemy to call one's self a prophet or to believe Muhammed was not Allah's last messenger?

3) if a muslim is non-commitant (muslim by tradition, living in a muslim house, believes in god but doesn't pray 5 times a day, breaks food laws, etc) are there penalties in this life?

1) does the Qu'ran outline Allah's reasons for his commands, or do you simply belief he is sovereign and has no need to explain anything to his followers?

3) I hope this doesn't sound offensive, but I heard someone say that Muslim men can marry any monotheist (people of the Book) and muslim women can only marry the devout muslim men, as to keep them pure. is this true, or was I misinformed?

what are the differences between Christian and Eastern meditation? All I know is that Christian meditation is just study, rememberance, and application, and you don't need to clear the mind or anything, just focus.
