what is a good laptop for writing stories?
I only wish to get a cheap laptop with a good keyboard to type with and good battery. Internet speed and such doesn't really matter to me. Just something with a good keyboard and battery life. Also maybe the only other use for it would be spotify. Thanks
3 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks7 years agoHelp with basic java script program?
I've been trying to write a program to ask a girl out. Please help
confirm("Will you answer a question?");
var answer=prompt("Want to go get ice cream on Friday?");
if (answer="yes") {
confirm("cool!")
};
if (answer="no") {
confirm("Well alright then....")
};
else {
confirm("okay....")
};
The idea is to ask her to ice cream then respond with appropriate response.

2 AnswersLanguages8 years agoCatholic theologians/Philosophers who also spoke of Eastern religions/philosophies?
I was wondering if any of you could point me to a catholic theologian/philosopher who also spoke of eastern practices like maybe anything dealing with the 3rd eye or chakras or the Here and Now? Anything really would be of interest to me. The closest things I can find or think of was Alan Watts who was a former Anglican priest and then Seraphim Rose who was an American Orthodox Monk who was interested in Taoism.
So if you guys could point me to anyone similar of who I have mentioned then that would be fantastic thank you.
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoPain within Buttocks? I don't know please help?
So I got up from the couch and I felt something withing my right buttocks area. As I walk I can feel something "moving?" or something like that in that area and it can be annoying. I don't know what I did, but it hurts at times. It's not severe pain or anything like that. It just seems hard to walk at times but not really . . . anything helpful would be great. Also sitting doesn't seem to be bothersome. I guess I threw out my butt
1 AnswerPain & Pain Management9 years agoJazz recommendations please?
I've been interested in finding some Jazz music. I really enjoy 3 pieces which usually has piano, bass, and drums. The only brass Jazz I seem to care for is stuff like the Sea biscuits. I remember hearing a piano 3 or 4 piece group that my friend played on his ipod that sounded "chaotic". I don't know what could possibly be that, but any help would be grateful.
1 AnswerJazz9 years agoJazz recommendations (mainly piano/not much brass)?
Okay I know this is such a broad question, but I really don't know sh!t about Jazz, but I've started to appreciate it more after hearing the Jazzy sound in Rhapsody in Blue. Sure that had brass, but I sort of want to get away from brass. I will listen to it, but I prefer simple piano, bass, drums, and guitar. Thanks for any recommendations. Also if you can explain anything like sub genres within Jazz that would be cool too. Thanks everyone
3 AnswersJazz9 years agoFunny Anime recommendations?

Some of my favorites are

Houran High School Host Club
Samurai Champloo
Soul Eater
Melancholy of Harui Suzumiya
So anything similar to those would be fantastic
Also please don't say Lucky Star. I still need to watch more Anime first to get some of the jokes
10 AnswersComics & Animation9 years agoWhat kind of statistical thing should I use for my survey?
I did a survey to test people's knowledge of religious questions. I'm comparing how well they did and comparing the results with their religious affiliation.
I don't know what I'm doing, but so far I have counted out the correct responses for each question for each religious group.
I also plan on comparing correct responses to major so if there's something else I have to do for that please let me know. Also I have a TI-84 plus graphing calculator so any advice with that would be great.
Thanks

5 AnswersMental Health9 years agoHow do I get rid of feelings for someone?
I'm in college right now and well me and a girl in my dorm hall have become very good friends. I see her all the time and well it's great, but there's one problem. I have feelings for her. I don't want to have these feelings for her since I don't want to make the mistake of saying something to her and then things being different. Most likely she doesn't feel the same way towards me as I do towards her and so I know we'll never date, but I would really like to stay very good friends. If it wasn't for her then college would have been much harder on me. Is there any way I can stop feeling this way about her? I really don't want to lose her as a friend.

1 AnswerSingles & Dating10 years agoWhat are the best caffeine free sodas?
I'll say right now that I can't drink Sprite or A & W Rootbeer anymore because they seem to give me head aches. I also don't like ginger ale or Sierra Mist. I really want to take in a lot less caffeine since I have anxiety and caffeine isn't good for anxiety.
So far I've found 7UP Cherry to be very good, but that's all I can really find. So some help would be great

4 AnswersDrawing & Illustration10 years agoCan I download old quests and such on Dragon Quest IX?
I just recently purchased DQIX and I knew about the weekly downloadable content, but can I get older DLC? I know that the last update of DLC has been done like 2 weeks ago, but I'm just a little confused by all of this.
Also while we're on the subject . . . when it comes to tag teaming and trading maps do I actually have to be near someone while they're playing the game or what's the deal? I know for multiplayer I HAVE to be near someone. Thanks
1 AnswerVideo & Online Games10 years agoWhat are your religious beliefs?
I describe my religious beliefs as Buddhist Unitarian Catholic Pagan
Alright let me explain I believe in Jesus while yet also believing in some beliefs of Buddhism like positive and negative energy and such. As for the Unitarian part it's more like I am cynical about the bible and do believe there may have been errors whether translation or oh I don't know . . . MAN!!! Also I believe the bible is mostly to be taken teleologically and not scientifically.
As for Catholic I was raised Catholic and well I like the architecture with their cathedrals.
As for the Pagan well I do believe in celebrating the changing of the seasons and also the phases of the moons and such (also being a Christian makes this a whole lot easier since well a lot of christian holidays are based off of Pagan holidays)
So what about you?
