I recently read an old Trixie Belden book from the 1950s and in it she talks about having hamburgers for supper. She then goes on the say that the burgers are always juicy because her "moms" makes them with milk and bread and maybe eggs? Has anyone ever heard of making burgers this way? If so, what is the amount of ground beef, milk, bread, eggs?? Thanks!

We bought a new refrigerator/freezer about 1 and 1/2 years ago and while the fridge keeps food nice and cold the freezer hasn't worked right for a while. Ice cream and other foods come out half frozen/half thawed. It will freeze ice solid though.

I have tried turning up the temperature control knob all the way but since the fridge and freezer share the same knob this just makes everything in my fridge get slushy/frozen and doesn't do a thing about my shoddy freezer. Has anyone else had this same problem and if so, what did you do to fix it? Thanks!

BTW, the fridge is manufactured under the brand name "Amana" and is made by the same company who makes "Whirlpool" products.

We just noticed the other day that my DH has one arm a lot shorter than the other (like 3 or so inches!). He never noticed before and only noticed this time because he was trying to hang decorations for a party and realized that he could reach so much higher with one arm than the other. He then reached both arms straight out in front of him and that is when we noticed the huge difference. Not sure if it's always been like this or if it is something that just happened lately as we have never noticed it before. He does pretty much always have a backache and pain in his feet so we are thinking this could be why. Just not sure if anyone else out there has had this problem and if so what was the cause and/or treatment. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me. If it were me I'd go to the dr. but he is stubborn and hates the doc so probably won't go unless he needs to go for something else as well!! Men!!!

I have noticed a fishy smell after having sex with hubby the past couple of years. The smell only comes when we have sex and he ejaculates inside. Otherwise there is no smell. That's why i haven't considered infection. could it just be his sperm giving off that smell?? Please only serious answers...this is one of those questions you just don't want to ask your gynie!

I am 31 years old and a stay at home mom/wife. No matter how I get my hair cut it always seems to morph into the same style. Other than a few minor changes and one BIG pregnancy mood swing short haircut, my style has been pretty much the same since 9'th grade or so. My hair is layered with the longest layer coming to the middle of my back. It is naturally wavy/curly and I wear it to the side in the front. My shortest layer comes to my chin. I usually blow it dry with some gel in it and scrunch the crap out of it to make the curls "pop". Have tried it straight but just looks nasty with my fat face and big nose! My hubby seems to like it long...maybe a porn star thing?? LOL Anyway, I would love to hear some opinions from hairstylest or overweight woman like myself. Also would love to hear the opinion of some men out there who would seriously like to offer advice about what you like to see on a woman...all answers appreciated but please don't be deliberately mean...thanks.

We normally go to Ocean City Maryland and love to eat at the seafood buffets there (we all love snow crab legs, so that is a big plus to find on the buffet!). This year we are going to Rehoboth Beach instead but can't seem to find any good seafood buffets by doing a websearch. Anyone out there have a good seafood buffet in or around Rehoboth Beach? If we can't find one we just may have to spend a day at Ocean City in order to have a good seafood buffet meal! By the way, not interested in a seafood restaurant unless they offer a buffet or a really good crab leg special! Thanks in advance :0)

I think I have all of the Donna Parker books written by Marcia Martin in the 1950's and 60's but I dont know the order in which the series was written. Anyone familiar with these books who knows what order they should be read in? Thanks!!

Brand names and/or websites would be super helpful too! I have heard a lot of people say "don't buy a bike at Wal-mart or K-mart", but we are a family of four living on 1 income so I can't go out and spend two months mortgage on an expensive bicycle...I'm hoping to find one that will support my weight and be comfortable enough for me to ride with my husband and daughters on a paved "rail to trails" trail in my neighborhood.

Also hoping to lose weight and this is my first choice for exercise (if I can find one that I can afford that meets my needs) Thanks in advance for any help you can offer! I quit smoking on April 2 of this year so I have a little over two months quit now. Just wondering if anyone out there has lost weight after quitting and if so how long did you wait to "diet" after becoming smoke free? I don't want to start to cut back on food too soon and end up tempting myself into smoking. But I don't want to use my quitting smoking as an excuse to eat like a hog forever either. Oh, I'm so freakin' confused!!! Any REAL answers would be much appreciated. Thanks!
