when they are getting paid real money for the job they are doing. Okay, so maybe it is not their chosen career and they are not making as much money as they would like, but I know of no employer who pays with monopoly money for a job done... well or other wise. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but all the jobs I've worked have been REAL jobs. Thank you for letting me vent.

My daughter wants to have a sleepover party with a Princess Diaries theme. We have both movies, she wants to serve pear and popcorn flavored jelly bellies, we can't do matress surfing - the stairs aren't long enough. Any ideas on what to do with about seve to eight 10 year old girls?

I've read his book "Forget Heaven Just Kiss Me", and started "A price above pearls" or something like that. It's been over 10 years, is there a place I can find his books now? I really enjoyed him, and don't care to have the books "violated for the US market."

We have an inset bath/shower with a shower curtin. We have problems with water getting through the side of the stall and the curtin (well my husband does.....) A while back I saw a thing that fits in the corner, along the tub and the wall that helps keep the water in. Any one know where I can find some thing like that?

The last time I got a computer, our 9 yearold daughter was barely 2! I need something to run music and movie programs, store pictures, and family tree stuff, run football scouting and softball league scheduling programs, and play Zoo Tycoon and other assorted games. What company is user friendly - for us inept non-techies, and will get us where we need to be to be "with-it" in the 21st century?

Does anyone else wonder if we will see an increase in cancerous brain tumors because people walk (and drive) around with cell phones attached to their ears all the time? I'm serious! This can't be good to have electronics so close to your head for so much of the day.

We're having a thunder storm and evey time we have one this song goes through my head, but I don't think I remember all the words. I remember it from my childhood, I think it was on Captain Kangaroo it goes like this:

When lightening flashes through the sky

Hubby said it was when all the pregnant ladies give birth (He's real funny) to see if the kids could give him the right answer. Our 3rd grader said it was to honor people who work, our 12th grader said to honor the blue collar workers, Hubby said it was a comunist holiday, and got the kids in an uproar. Anyone know the history of Labor day?

For a while my "a" drive did not even show up in the my computer window. I did a disk clean, virus check, and defrag and it came back, but now all the disks read as not formatted. What could have happended! Can we ever get the data off those disks?

My son is a senior this year, and I love to listen to him pracitce his trumpet. I'm going to miss it when he goes off to college!

My husband found a wasp nest at his work and was told by the exteminator that it was an African Switchblade Wasp it supposedly has two stingers one that pops out like a switchblade.. thus the name. They are very aggressive. We'd like to get more info on them but can't find anything, and suggestions?
