NPD and the man I am seeing.?
Okay, I will try to be as concise as possible.
I was with a man for 2 years off and on. It was peaches and cream in the beginning, yet I have discovered that this man can be a complete cruel, unreasonable jerk off. Now he has some tell tale signs that I found to be not normal. He is too possessive, shows signs of aggression [cursing and threats, and property damage (my property)]. Yet on the other hand he is very attentive, kisses me to no end, hugs me like he means it (in public and when were alone; we can flirt, play, be serious, make love, all without any type of discomfort meaning sexual abuse or force.) He ALWAYS pays when we go out, be it just for the two of us or if I invite people. He always makes me feel important; opening doors for me, letting me order first, asking for my opinions, listening to what I have to say (except when we argue- then I have to MAKE him listen -_-) When I ask for him to get me something, he remembers me; bringing me lunch to work, or the shirt I left in his house. This is what I don't get, why does he turn his sadness into anger. I have noticed when he gets emotionally hurt he does not express it, he just gets mad. And yells. Yet when we talk about everything calmly he admits his wrongs (genuinely) and talks about what he must work on, asks me how he can do this, what I think about it. I read up on NPD and he posses ALL of these traits: There are nine criteria of which five need to be met:
1. Feels grandiose and self-importance.
2. Is obsessed with fantasies of unlimited success.
3. Firmly convinced that he or she is unique and, being special, can only be understood by, should only be treated by, or associate with, other special or unique, or high-status people (or institutions).
4. Requires excessive admiration, adulation, attention and affirmation.
5. Feels entitled. Expects unreasonable or special and favourable priority treatment.
6. Demands automatic and full compliance with his or her expectations. Is “interpersonally e

My question; how can he possess all of these traits and still be so "loving"? Is it something far more serious such as bipolar disorder? Ir schizophrenia?
I will also include that I have never been driven to know what I a capable of. He provoked me so much that I have snapped and slapped him (and he also actually asked me if I wanted to and said to do it???) I feel like he is either A) crazy with a disorder or B) a man child who doesnt know how to handle him self. Any advice would be beneficial.

1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoMy boyfriend gets soft right before sex. fukc.?
My boyfriend and I are very comfortable with each other, we like each other, and were both attracted to one another. I can always get him hard, foreplay and teasing whatnot. BUT- right before sex he gets soft! Its like a race between me and his dick, I have to try to put the condom on before he gets soft...and I lose. Its a mission and a half even TRYING to get him hard to have sex. He even got soft mid thrust during sex! What gives!? He says he's nervous...but why!? We have already had sex, whats he worrying about...How can he calm down? Sometimes, I even have to tell him to chill, but I cant just FORCE him not to think about stuff and relax. Then when I DO try to turn him on...he makes it impossible. He keeps him self from getting "into the mood" somehow....Please give me ANY advice on what to do, what should he do to calm down?!

2 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoWhat is your honest opinion on this guy?
I'm 17, he's 20. We went on a date that he planned four days before; and it was fun, he paid, opened doors, funny, nice, etc. I like him. yesterday we went on a second date, and he was the same, we get along very well, always laughing. He always holds my hand, he constantly hugs me, kisses my head, my hands and is very sweet. (Btw, is that normal for a 2nd date?) He also already made it very clear that he's attracted to me, lol. In the car he always asks to hold my hand and even then he always kisses it. On our second date we were standing and we hugged and I was sort of grazing his back with my fingers and he said "I could stay like this with you forever" and after like ten min, he looked at me and it was a different look in his eyes, calmer and intimate. And I also noticed that before, he kissed me with his eyes open, now they're closed(?) He coincidentally lives in the same place as my bestfriend so we went by her house then stopped by his, I gave him a massage cus I bragged I was good lol(hes an athlete), nothing sexual, but after he tried to have sex with me, but I told him no, and he stopped, we just kissed for like ten min. Then in the car, he told me he likes me a lot and asked me to be his girlfriend, when about 20 minutes ago I found out he never had a serious relationship?! I denied, told him it's too early, isn't it wayyy too soon?? I dont get why he asked so early? What should I even do with this guy!?
