Okay I have a Lexus sc300 and I ve been towing recently, the hitches maximum is 3000lb (older hitches from same mfg was 3500lb max.

I ve for fun towed a friend s Miata a short distance.

I was wondering if I can tow let s say a car supplying if the trailer had electric brakes with controller. Basically 1000lb overweight.

Car has wider wheels (235/45-17 vs original 215/65/16) and has a big brake kit from a 600lb heavier Lexus LS400 and Mitsubishi evolution 8 rear caliper and brake kit in the rear.

I am half vietnamese, half chinese, parents from vietnam, I know vietnamese is one lanuage but I don't know what type of chinese I speak. My mother told me what it is but I don't know how its spelled due to a language barrier. on a 96' 4-cyl camry it has a second cat. converter, under the car behind the engine, what purpose does that cat do(HC,NOX,CO Reduction)? or is it just a second TWC cat like the one upstream?

My friend has a 89 acura legend, oil light flickers at warm idle, i saw a orange fram can and told her don't use it, and got her a wix, surprisingly, the wix solved the light flickering.... It was a fram w/o the grip, i cut it open and it was really dark and had metal end caps... Could it be the filter that caused it???

I recently just purchased a new distributor cap for my 96' I4 Camry (5SFE) and under initial acceleration (or in the range of 3,000RPM to 4,000RPM my whistler Pro radar falses alarms LASER....

The new cap is a oriley, import direct cap... can it be that? or could it be a "noisy" eletrical system? the alternator has been in the car for 220K Miles...

It only false alarms after the new dist. cap replacement... but when i move the radar higher up the windshield the false alarms become less and less....

is it possible that my new cap is causing the false alarms? i mean the new cap is made in japan... they cant possibly make a bad part... right?

I need help please, the radar helps me find KA band signals and the false lasers are more annoying than being rick rolled on youtube... Thanks everybody!

okay, my friend asked me if i could do a spring+strut change for his friend's 93 Miata.

The springs he purchased is Racing-Beat springs with a very nice combo of Koni-Yellow shocks. i installed it and it looks nice.

Here comes the problem. Going up the hills he made a moderately fast corner at a moderately fast speed. We both heard rubbing, pulling off the road i did a undercar check. Car under: just fine. But the tire rubbed against the chassis Right above the center of the tire tread. it wasn't too hard of a rubbing, but it was more than a touch and go rub.

I started guestamating the angle the tire would impact it and lt looked like the far outter edge of the tire was the culprit (remember... negative camber due to springs being lowered...)

The thing was he said he would to a alignment tomorrow, it was cambering out like a rice rocket (Due to angle change due to the lower stance of the springs)

So i'm concerned about his car now.

Hitting a really hard bump or going downhill really fast and feeling the G's pushing you down, the car doesnt bottom out. but making a fast sharp corner, the front wheels will rub.

Note: THE REAR IS JUST FINE, just the front.

OEM Rims with replacement tires (Matched to spec)

Now i'm wondering (here is the question!)

Will the alignment help get rid of the rubbing? (i mean it takes a really sharp corner and sporty driving to make it rub....)

Also.

Since it only rubs when making said corner. Will a beefier front Sway bar help?

All as drain and refill.

I have purchased a bottle of Toyota Red Coolant, is it good for my 1996 camry? becuase the original is Toyota pink, but there are fourms comsparicies about this having an organic ingredient that may cause sludgeup with "original green"

Okay, doing the timing belt on my 1996 Camry and I'm finally gonna go with something other than REGULAR off the shelf green coolant (i know. Shoot me x.x) now that i really got money to put down, should i go with Dex-Cool, or G0-5? the Zerex chart looks like it says 1996 or older is G0-5, and 1996 or newer is Dex-Cool.

So. What should i get?
