  • Ipod Won't update any Apps?

Apple makes crappy *** products that people buy like robots because Apple is invincible and perfect.

Anyways, I'm trying to update apps on this painfully slow iPod device and when I click "update" it just goes back to "install" then back to "update" then back to "install."

Basically, Apple has my device doing piss all right now. I seriously hate this piece of **** in every way and would just like it to once work without it freezing while it struggles to find the wireless 10 inches away from it or Safari updates pages every 3 seconds or these asses at Apple decide to make me agree to terms and conditions for the billionth time in the most unfriendly way possible.

Anyways, just focus on the button and ignore how much I hate apple and everything they make and stand for.

P.S. this piece of **** technology was a gift. amazing it displays video, pretty awesome it takes a million years to actually load and do it.

  • Girl seems to show signs of interest but then refrains?

So, I work with this girl. I just kind of met her as we work in different offices. At a work event, she introduced herself (as she did for many others) but was showing signs of interest beyond the normal such as looking at me from across the room (then when eye contact was made, looking away quickly as almost not to be noticed), tickling me as she walked by as I was engaged in another conversation with another girl. At another meeting, I noticed her staring at me from across the room to the point it felt like an eternity. Just staring to the point I was about to wave my hand at her to say a friendly 'hi' and just as I did, she realized she was staring and quickly looked back at the friend she was probably ignoring.

Now, between these events, I suggested we go for a drink and she said that would be nice. Then, she kind of backed off suggesting work relationships aren't her thing, she's busy the next while, etc. I said fine, whatever, I'll invite you to a more "group" setting (I suggested either we go out or that a group of people go out to ease everything).

After the second meeting when I caught her staring, I later brought up a simple conversation then stated that I was glad she introduced herself to me (which I was). She, again, responded suggesting she doesn't think the work relationship is a good idea but she's flattered.

My question is - what is going on, here? We're both introverted so I thought maybe I need to push a bit harder. However, flat out asking was resulting in hesitation, excuses, etc. It felt like I was being given reasons why it's not a good idea "business wise" but never really getting signs that she, herself, wasn't interested. Like I said, it felt like excuses to "run away."

After the second time, I had indicated that, again, this was OK she didn't want to get involved as per the co-worker thing and that I was kind of getting involved with someone outside of work but that I'd still like to go out as a group as not to kill anything off. Both of which is true (nothing serious).

    What's the call on this?

Normally, I'd just wuss out and not ask her out but no time for this, anymore, and I was kind of shocked to see my forwardness/confidence kind of shot down.

  • Future date hooked up with someone before our date?

So, I have a date forthcoming. I asked her out a week ago and she was busy and said "let's go the following week" and so we set it up.

Last Friday, a bunch of people were going out. I was a late invite by a mutual friend (who doesn't know anything) and my date was going to be there. I felt awkward about that idea but said I would maybe go.

Anyways, I didn't end up going as I was getting too drunk. My one friend did go who DID know I liked her as I was talking about her a lot on Friday before he left. Anyways, turns out I ended up throwing up most my night by myself.

While I was doing that, my future date was picking up some douche bag. Of course, those in support of me told her he was a douche which means she just wanted him more. And, I guess one of the people there knew this guy so that's why they warned her but seriously, that just makes girls want the guy that much more. I'm sure I was described as a "great guy" which probably does the opposite.

Needless to say, my friend told me this today. Now, I am confused on whether to go on this date, anymore. Now, I just keep thinking about that. I'm also not sure I want to date someone that just randomly hooks up at Bars.

Do I blow her off and say "forget it?" I was looking forward to that date but now I just feel kind of depressed about it to the point I want to just walk away but I don't know if that's a good thing to do or a bad thing.

As well, do I tell her "why" I want to not go? Should I give her the benefit of the doubt and let her explain anything? I don't feel she owes me much as we aren't dating, but I do know her and have hung out with her and everyone else multiple times. So, we know each other that way.

  • Can I cop pull you over if you are driving behind him?

If a cop was in front of you and speeding a bit and you were behind him, also doing his speed, can he pull you over?

If so, how can he prove your speed? I know cops can use pacing but that's when they are behind you versus in front.

In the military they use tracer fire. If an enemy was actually hit by it, would it kill them?

  • What type of motorcycle for long rides, adventure, touring?

I'm looking to get back into motorcycling. A bit of background - I took training about 7 years ago and got my license. I rode a brand new SV650S - I've laid it down and did all that good stuff and rode for a few years. I've since stopped but want to pick it up over the next year or 2.

Now, to get back into it, I'll probably be able to talk my friend into letting me cruise on his 125 Honda he has and if I'm lucky, his SV Gladious. Just need to refine my skills.

Now, the type of riding I'm hoping to do is long distance riding, touring, and twists as I am in Calgary and close to the mountains. However, high way riding will be on the list, hell, everything will be.

I'm looking for a bike that is comfortable for long hauls (SV650S wasn't that swell for that) and has some juice in it and can take on heavy loads (luggage) for long trips. My days of riding super hard are over but I want the back up power.

My lead thoughts are directing me to a Suzuki Vstrom 1000 model. The sport Adventure. I've ridden a honda cbr 1100 xx before in terms of Sport Tourers but unsure on the comfort the tourers offer over the adventure styles.

My price range is 12,500ish, give or take, so BMW's are out of the question. Like I say, I want a reliable bike that can get me from Calgary to London and boring roads or Calgary to California coast line on fun roads. I want it to handle the corners but be the most comfortable (ergonomically).

I don't want a pure sport bike and I don't want a cruiser style of motorcycle.

  • General Psychology Books?

I'm looking for a general psychology book that may or may not lead to a series of books.

Nothing specific, I'm looking for a big book of boring psychology.

I've looked on Amazon or Chapters and the results are specifics, dealing with children, dealing with this disorder or that disorder. I guess I'm just looking for a generalized book.

    Any idea's?

  • I need a computer built?

Keeping in mind I get a deal at Dell, unless you have a secret cheap place (sweet), I need my computer to be good on the audio and strong video (my t.v. will be hooked up to it, movies will transfer between the 2). Looking to spend 800-900. No monitor, no mouse, no keyboard, etc. Just the tower and the junk inside.

  • Friend seeing a loser of a boyfriend?

I'm curious as to what my friends problem is.

She has been dating a guy for over a year. For the first 8 months, she kept it as secret as she possibly could.

Her boyfriend routinely drinks to the point of super intoxication and makes an *** out of himself. He is described as a pr*ck by people who barely know him. He is a terrible worker. He consistently leaves her at bars without saying a word, has shown 1/3 of the office his girlfriends *** when he drunkenly failed to pick her off the ground and carry her down a flight of stairs, and just recently made out with her best friend RIGHT in front of her and said very little when confronted. He doesn't communicate worth crap (apparently he turns issues on her making it seem she is at fault (which causes her to not discuss the issues)) and has called her a ***** before. (love is in the air... everytime I look around!)

My question is what would cause a person to continually put up with a moron boyfriend (she could have anyone).

Is this a lack of self-respect and if so, please explain why.

I'd like girl answers and guys answers.

  • Anti-depressants and Child Custody?

If someone is on anti-depressants and is fighting for custody of their child against their husband, does the medication play a role in determining who will win custody?

I heard someone mention that she has to be off medication for 5 years before she can have full custody of the child. Right now, she has been off 2 years but I've never heard of such a thing, is this right?

  • What are some must have spices/ingredients when cooking?

I've recently bought a new grill to get me into cooking. Not a big cooker but looking to change that a bit.

Unfortunately, I don't know where to start - can people recommend some generic spices and ingredients that are commonly used?

Maybe something like Garlic powder (or something else) and cinnamon. Things like that that I may commonly see used in recipes (oils, etc)

  • Christians and homosexuality and it being a 'choice'?

If Christian's think homosexuality is a 'choice' does that mean they constantly have to make the choice to have sex with the opposite sex?

I mean, if I want a hamburger or pizza, it's because I love them both and have a tough choice but when it comes to who I want to date/kiss/sex/marry, the choice isn't there, I'm just doing it. I don't have to sit and think 'hmmm, do I like that guy over there? Or, do I like that girl?' No, it's just 'wow, look at that girl.'

So, if it's a choice, how often do you have to make it? How often is the thought of homosexuality on your mind?

  • Christians, question?

I often hear that evidence for Christianity being "truth" comes from "looking around you." Or, even, reading the bible or the 'Bible' itself.

How do you, using this form of evidence, tell a Blind person that this is truth? They can't see the world around them nor can they read this book which could simply be written by anyone (how would they ever REALLY know?).

How can a blind person really be sure any of it is truth?

  • Top 10 missing links?

    http://www.livescience.com/health/top10_missinglin...

Do Creationist even click on the link? While reading this, are you shaking your head? Are your arms crossed? Are you thinking "ya right?"

When I think of coming from a rib, I think 'Wow, that fails all logic since it has never happened.' I think 'Creationist want constant evidence and cry when not presented it (even though mounds of it is presented) but, yet, ask for no evidence on their own belief - why they require evidence for evolution but need none of their own is beyond me.

The Logic of picking a side over the other is beyond me when one side has absolutely no evidence. They want us to show them 'change' yet, when you ask them to prove something coming from a rib they just sit there.

    Why?

  • Atheist and religion and war?

Question towards Atheists - How come you think that without religion, war will suddenly cease or drop dramatically?

What logic do you base this off of? Is it logic referencing crusades of 800 years ago? Since those crusades stopped by those countries, have they stopped participating in war?

What was WW1 and WW2 about? They had little to do with religion.
