I'm trying to cut down on calories, however I don't want to go to just 'yucky' food, so my question is does it matter what I eat as long as I don't do to many calories? I want to make sure I stay healthy and don't loose body muscle but I can't seem to eat a bunch of vegetables ect. I like my meat, potatoes, and chocolate...how much does it matter?

I work for an elderly gentleman and his legs get really swollen from extra water. They also get kinda dry. I heard lemons help get rid of extra water, and mosturize the skin. He doesn't like to drink lemon stuff, but would rubbing it on his legs help any?

Right now I'm becoming a CNA but I've always thought being and EMT sounded like it would be more my type, more of a change in routine. However I have no idea what I would need to do or what training I would need. Also I live like 20 min from the hospital is there a way I could work as one being that far away?

I have a young Tennessee Walker that doesn't stay in the gait very well, I think its because he isn't collected very well, he gets going to fast and gets into the pace.

I heard of the German Martingale and wondered if they do ok for that?? I'm not a really great horseman on this stuff, so I don't want to do anything that will ruin him,

I'm wanting to watch a guy we know (Ken McNabb) on rfd tv but we don't have a tv, and the place I work has cable, but not rfd...is there any way I can just watch it from the computer, if so how>?

Basically, I want to know from someone who is or was a quaker because looking up things on the internet it seems to all contradict each other.

My main question is what you believe...some say that you believe you can be buddist or something and still be a quaker...is that true?

Also, what major difference would you have from a mennonite? My mom went to a mennonite school, and we have a lot of common beliefs.

(Any of you who don't know the difference between a quaker and shaker need not answer!)

I have a Tennessee Walking horse, and am still working on him with a snaffle bit. After that I'm going to go to one designed for gaited horses. However, I use my horse for hunting too, and don't have him do the running walk while we are in the mountains. Plus we have friends who like to come over to ride horse, and I don't want to have them use that bit on my horse because I don't want them to be to heavy handed on him and hurt him. Can I use two seperate bits on him, or would it confuse him. I know with my other horse when I switched him from the snaffle to the wester bit for working cows he would act up for a little till he got used to it

Hey, my momma dog still nursing her pups has a terrible rash on her stomache. Its all red and there are little red bumps all over. The pups are 51/2 weeks old. Its started like two days ago I noticed it was dry, then last night it was red and dry so I started to put some bag balm on it. Today it doesnt seem as dry but her whole belly is red!! Not only that but she has a little bit of sores under her eyes. Any suggestions? I don't like to call the vet and get a $100 emergency fee over the week-end, but she is a VERY expensive dog and I'm worried!

Oh, and what do you all think abou the bag balm? Will it harm the puppies any? I know it can have a gross taste.

I've been bottle-feeding my runt some because of the larger dogs pushing him away, and he seems to be doing a little bit better, but even though I tried to burp him I've never had him burp that I know of. This is the first time I've ever had to bottle feed a puppy, and the breeder thats been helping be with all this 'new stuff' isn't answering her phone. So far I've fed him twice.

Seems like I heard a song about a guy working at McDonalds a couple years ago, but I can't remember anything except that he had to ask this guy who stole his wife, kids, and house if he wanted frys with his meal...does anybody have the lyrics and artist to that? Thanks!

OK, I breed bichons, and a local animal shelter called me up telling me they have this preg. bichon and don't have room for her...could I take care of her till she delivers, or finds a home. So she is obviously going to have pups very soon. I started taking her temp right away, and yesterday morning it dropped to 98.4 I know from my own experiance that thats not alway accurate though. Another problem is that I'm not sure about her mucus plug. She will not try going to the bathroom if I'm with her...don't know if its from abuse or what, but everytime I'm with her, or she starts going and I walk towards her she stops. So I try to wait back till she's done going, then check out whatever she left. About 2 hrs. ago she left a deposit of soft BM but there was also a little brownish stuff...it didn't really look like poo, but since it was a darker brown I'm not sure if its the mucus plug. Any suggestions from other breeders?

Hey, if your an athiest, why are you in the religous section? Certainly you can't be trying to 'convert' people because you believe there is no right/wrong.

Plus, why do you all have to write some non-informative answers, but put in your opinions...which are all the same. And you always put "I'm and athiest'??

I have a three year old colt. Up until now I've used a snaffle bit, but now I'm looking for something a little more effective. How do I tell what kind of bit to use?? I heard tons of people say not to use the western, but when I ask they all tell me it depends on the horse. But, dumb me, I'm not sure what kind my horse needs!! lol Any suggestions how how to pick one out?

I'm just starting to breed high quality Bichons...however, one problem that I seem to have is getting rid of the 'birth' and puppy smells. Since I keep my dogs in the house I'm trying to find a better solution. Up until now all my pups were born in the spring so we would have good days we could 'open up' the house, but now I'm going to be having a littler this fall...any suggestions would be really appreciated!! Don't get me wrong...I keep everything cleaned. But you know how that birthing goes!!
